Sorry it took 10 days to get my trousers back. I know there was Bank holiday but I think this was Bit too slow.

Took much longer than promised when I dropped my clothes in. Feel sorry for the seamstress who is clearly being given to large a work load. Don't promise people a service if u don't employ enough staff to deliver

I rang zipyard 4 days before coming regarding a bridesmaid dress which needed cups and alterations with a tight turnaround I was told this was possible and so I cancelled an appointment with a trusted friend who is a seamstress and couldn't do the cups. On arrival, I was told cups weren't possible. I was quite cross about this as I had limited time to sort dress alterations. However what I found extremely frustrating was to be spoken to like an idiot. To be told ' you have big boobs' is neither constructive or helpful. I have DD cup so I'm fully aware they are big! They then came out with ridiculous suggestions such as cloth to provide support- it was clear they had no idea. I'm quite knowledgeable on dress alterations as I'm also a bride to be To top it off to be told at the end ' you be happy bride and you have babies' in a patronising tone when I am visibly cross is completely ridiculous. I would have preferred an apology and for them to behave as a professional as possible considering circumstances . I have never felt so humiliated in all my life. This could have been simply resolved by them admitting fault and not coming out with ridiculous, patronising. irrelevant waffle. However on a positive note the alteration was done ok

Was advised that item was not ready on day it should have been and told it would be a day later, which for personal reasons did not suit and I would not have gone ahead with the works in first place if this was the case. I clearly straight away after receiving the text message saying I don't want the work to be carried out. Didn't hear back and then next day, I then get a text saying the item is ready for collection but for me it was too late as i had missed out on my function/event i was going to (Hence having the suit altered) and had to drive to London to collect another jacket from a friend in order not to miss out on my plans. They ignored my cancellation request. Not happy to then have to pay full price for something I didn't want carried out and gentleman in shop simply said "well, its done now" Wont be recommending them!

I brought my bridesmaid dress in to get a new zip fitted as the one that was originally on it was popping open when I put it on (although it wasn't visibly broken and still zipped up and down). Everyone was very helpful and I paid my £20 for a new zip. I was told that it would take 2 weeks which was fine as I was in no rush. I got the text to say it had passed quality control and went in to pick it up. As soon as I tried it on, it popped open in exactly the same place - upon closer inspection, it was evidently the same zip as before. I took it back the next day and was told that it would be 'redone'. When I picked it up yesterday, the zip had been replaced and the assistant admitted that originally they had 'fixed' the zip rather than replacing it which is not what I paid for. The replacement is very good and the actual job they have done can't be faulted but it's a real shame that I didn't get what I had paid for originally and lucky that I didn't leave it until the morning of the wedding to try it on again!

HI Lisa, sorry about that. I can assure you this was an honest mistake thinking the work had been completed on the zip. (We are only human). I am pleased to hear though you were happy with new zip we fitted for you once you pointed this mistake out to us. We look forward to seeing you again in the shop again soon.

We had some curtains shortened. The alterations were done quickly and the finish looks professional. However they are now not straight so that both curtains are longer at one side than the other and they don't meet up properly in the centre. Luckily we can hide the worst of it behind the TV! Was quite expensive too so unlikely to use zipyard again.

Given a price by the "owner" and paid in advance (mandatory) - to then have a call and say it would be double the cost to have the work carried out. Extremely disappointing.

Sorry about that Ben, there was a miss-understanding with regards to the complexity of the work being carried out and therefore altered the price of the alteration. You were obviously given a full refund as no work had been carried out. Apologies once again for any inconvenience.

Really overpriced. £35 to shorten a dress is ridiculous

Thank you for your comments, we always inform our customers of the price beforehand and each job is slightly different. If you thought it was overpriced I am surprised you went ahead with the order. You did leave happy however with the alteration work on the dress. We look forward to seeing you in the ZipYard again soon.

Hi Barry, I am sorry to hear you were not happy with the work carry out. We always ask customers to try on their garments in our changing rooms before leaving to ensure they are happy with the work carried out. Please return with your trousers at your earliest convince before (11.05.2016) where we will of course be happy to rectify your trousers at no extra cost.
