“Every year I give my great nieces and great nephews a book for Christmas. I wait until The Book People have a discount offer and go on line to order the books. It is really easy as they advise what age range each book is suitable for so I don't have to worry. I get this done in October and they arrive promptly and never disappoint. I can post them early at the cheapest rate. My family are always amazed how suitable the books are for each child and it is a great feeling to be well prepared for Christmas.”

“Ive just ordered multiple children's books in a Flash Sale ready for Birthdays and Christmas. The offers were great, the ordering easy and the savings Ive made as well as a free book with one bookset is great. “We always use The Book People for our children's books, as we find the Collections the best value we can find. Our recent purchase was for Phonics books for our daughter. They took a little longer to be dispatched and delivered (through Hermes) than normal, but still arrived in good time and were a great product for the price.”

“Keep the faith people...I have given a 2 star rev as .....I finally received my order today placed on the 12. 2.20 !!. The issue I have is, if it was stated that it would take over 4 weeks for delivery. I would not have ordered from them. I have spent nearly 60 minutes of my time waiting for someone to answer a phone I have sent 4 emails, to no avail . Would I order again ,NO . But at last my Grandaughter has got got her books.”

“Ordered 15 weeks ago, still no order, rung so many times. Apparently Hermes have lost the parcel but still no refund and now lines are closed!”

“I have purchased numerous times from Bookpeople so I did not hesitate to purchase again in March. Was supposed to wait up to 7 weeks, I did. Instead of parcel I received an email that 1 of many books is out of stock and they have returned £4.00 and said my order will be shipped shortly. 12 weeks later and nothing. I have emailed, called but no response. Very disappointed. I still want my books or money.”

“What went wrong?! Books were paid for but not received, and no communication received at all. Impossible to get through on the phone. Website doesn't exist, apparently. I now I find out that the company folded last December. But money still taken, by this now non-existent company, in March. This looks like a possible case of fraud to me, a non-existent company evidently happily taking money from 'customers'.”

“Placed and order on the 31st March. It’s now been over 8 weeks and am still waiting for my order! I have emailed them twice and nobody has been bothered to reply to me! The presents were meant for a birthday but obviously that isn’t going to happen now! Thanks bookpeople. You suck”

“Having used the site many times I didn’t think twice about placing an order. I placed my order on 5th March. I have written about this order twice but no reply. I didn’t write initially because I was told the order could take up to 4 weeks to arrive and then an update on the web site said it could be 7 weeks. So I then wrote after the 7 weeks passed. Some of my order was for Easter presents for my grandchildren! I feel cheated out of my money by the administrators.”

“I placed my order on 20th March. They said will take upto 4 weeks for standard delivery. It's now much longer than that. Emailed them but no reply. Should at least reply to update what's going with my order.”
