My dissatisfaction stems from how a very good friend of mine was treated. She paid for an entire introductory real estate course. Because of her work she waited several months and the unexpected happened, she contracted COVID, which almost killed her. Long story short, you collected her money and were not willing to let her take the course, as she went over the time period to take the course, your company has no concern for someone who experienced such pain and suffering, therefore, I try and let other Realtor's know what we experienced.

Hello Robert. Thank you for providing that feedback. We do our best to be transparent about our policies around course expiration dates, extensions, and the associated fees. The success rate on the final course exam as well as the state licensing exam increase dramatically for students who complete their program within the first 6 months. Retention and application of knowledge becomes more challenging as the gap between course start and completion grows. We know that life happens and where allowed by regulations, monthly course extensions are made available at a very reasonable rate. We also offer a substantial discount in the case of a course expiring.

Their policy to expire your course after 6 months to 1 yr on a service level, is pathetic. It's an online course and no one understands why it can't be extended let alone with covid and people are constantly having to change living conditions as schools shut down with every class exposure. There are also no tangible materials to study from which makes the course more difficult to navigate. It's my fault for not researching this better. A local company with better Q&A contact, materials, and who have a more vested interest in a student's success would have been a much better option.

Unfortunately finished my course for my Arizona real estate license and due to Covid I couldn’t get my exam taken and very disappointed I couldn’t get it extended. I feel as though I am a great client… Also send me any referrals referrals

Your customer support sucks. It’s unreliable! Also Having to wait two days to schedule a test it’s just flat out unacceptable. And then not to be able to resolve problems when they arise immediately or address them immediately is wholly unacceptable.

Finished early and then had to wait. This may be a required thing, but I know when I took schooling through Hondros College it wasn't that way.

Hello Joshua. We can't speak to the practices of other companies but The Kentucky Real Estate Commission requires that all students spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Since this requirement is set at the state level there isn't much we can do about that. Horrible customer experience with Sarah and made no attempt to resolve the issue (classes expired 30 days after paying for them, which I didn't know, and no email reminders or alerts were sent to let me know they were expiring). I only found out on day 31 when I logged in to take the class and could not. I asked for a credit to pay for the class again and was refused. I will never recommend them to another broker.

Hello Zachary. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience with one of our chat customer service representatives. Courses expire 30 days from the order date pursuant to the NC REC. We do our best to make course expiration dates clear to our students by showing them in your course home when you log in. We are not able to give credit for a course that has expired. That does not excuse rude behavior, though. We take that complaint seriously and will bring it up with their managers.

Material does not compared to the actual book is so different. A lot of lack communication I don’t think it will help much on test time

Hello. What you are describing is not a typical The CE Shop student experience. We are happy to investigate further but are unable to find an account based on the name you have provided. One of the best parts of our courses is that since they are online versus in print we can update them frequently. That might be the reason there is a difference between our course and the book you choose to supplement them with. Our courses are designed around the topics prescribed by each state's real estate commission and they are in alignment with the licensing exam topics. Over 76% of our students reported that they passed their exams on the first try. If you felt like certain topics were not adequately covered we'd love to get that specific feedback so we can better address it. Hello Peter, we're sorry you didn't enjoy your learning experience with us. Yours was a rare case of a technical issue that we, unfortunately, weren't able to successfully troubleshoot. Our Customer Service Supervisor and one of our IT specialists spent hours on your particular issue, but without the ability to replicate it, we weren't able to solve the problem for you. We have refunded your full amount as of 2/21/21.

It appears I mistakenly signed up for a 3-hour post-licensing class rather than for CE credit. Not only do I now have to spend another 3 hours taking the class again but The CE Shop is actually making me pay a second time. Tell your poor customer service representatives not to go into sales because with that attitude they will never get any clients. It's not about the money, it's about the relationship!

I failed my national exam 4 times and state exam 5 times. But yet I get 100% on all of the practice exams on this course. I would not recommend this school.

Hello April. We are sorry to hear about your challenges in passing the licensing exam. The state licensing exam is notoriously challenging, although The CE Shop students have on average a higher first-time pass rate than the state average. We do see that you were able to pass the course and Exam Prep Edge practice exams with the minimum required scores after multiple attempts, but are not seeing any scores of 100%. We suggest reviewing the course content for the areas of the licensing exam with the lowest scores rather than only relying on practice exam scores.

The material that was presented to me in the CE sales person class wasn’t sufficient enough to prepare me for the state exam. I had to get material from a local real estate school to study to prepare me for the state exam

They reported my classes to the columbus real estate web site which is there responsibility. However, they put in the wrong dates when they were taken. I called several times to inform them about it, but nothing has been done to correct t the problem.

The learning style sucks and makes it hard to comprehend the material long term. I've taken several practice exams, and still can reach over a 70% in appraisals. I really wish it had more videos and audio material. I feel this has been a waste of money and time. I should've gone back to Champions. I passed my exams the first try.

Hello Maketra. Thank you for that feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the learning style we use doesn't work for you as a learner. One of the benefits of our courses is that they are living documents. We are always updating them with the most relevant information. We simply don't have the resources to update videos and audio components for all of our courses across the whole country. We do our best to include videos and audio components where we can.
