“The strap is useless. I have a Quell and you should investigate how they work it, it’s easier to use. I am still trying to figure out if it works or not. It sucks all the energy out of my phone and shuts down all other Bluetooth devices. However I will persist”

Start treatment early. • For effective results, you should start the treatment as soon as you feel the first symptoms of the migraine attack and within 60 minutes of the migraine symptoms onset (headache and/or aura). 2. Setting Intensity at the start of each treatment • Use the + to increase the intensity until it feels strong yet comfortable and not painful. • We recommend that the intensity level not be changed during the treatment. 3. Treatment Time • For effective results, complete the full 45-minute treatment. Setting Intensity Since each migraine attack is different, there is no one right setting. The intensity should be strong, but never painful, and should be set within the first few minutes of treatment.    The + and – buttons on your phone screen allow you to set the level, and just after you start a treatment, you can repeatedly press the “plus” button to increase intensity until the sensation feels strong but not uncomfortable.  During clinical trials, the most effective treatment was obtained with intensities over 20% and with averages between 25 and 35%. If you do not get to 20%, however, do not worry, as long as it feels strong. “Nerivio takes some of the edge off of a migraine for a few hours, which is helpful. However, it hasn't ever completely gotten rid of a migraine and the moderate relief only lasts 3-4 hours.”

“My Nerivio keeps my headache away when i’m using it but 30 mins to an hour after the treatment stops my headache comes back.”

Nerivio does differ from other devices- Nerivio® is a remote electrical neurostimulator (REN) which works by applying an electrical signal to sensory nerves in the arm to activate one of your body’s natural pain regulation mechanisms called Conditioned Pain Modulation (CPM). The peripheral activation of Aδ and C fibers in the arm sends a signal to pain control centers in the lower brain to release pain inhibiting molecules that inhibit migraine pain signals. “I do not have headaches on the regular; like my mother does I have a traumatic brain injury that my neurologist is thinking nerivio will help seizure disorder neuro plasticity and other neurological functioning. Below is a link to a YouTube video of me in a coma for a few months from a truck hitting the passenger side of a rental car I was driving while home on terminal leave from the army at fort Lee Virginia February 21st 2009 approximately 1:34pm after an insane Mardi Gras parade and celebration in the town of Lake Wales Florida. My neurologist has issued me a nerivio with the hopes that it helps cognition and further neurological network plasticity of my traumatic brain injury recovery plasticity status.”

“My experience with Nerivio so far has been interesting. I’m still trying to figure out the intensity that is best and I also have noticed some weakness in my arm after using it while moving around. I believe it has aborted full migraine attacks so I’m hopeful and thankful and look forward to seeing how this progress.”

“I have only used it 4 times. The 1st time I tryed to use it, it would not connect. Customer service had me reset phone 3x's to make it work. Last night it would not connect again. So I finally restarted my phone and it worked. Trouble shooting is not an easy thing to do when you have a migraine w/ aura's or bring light sensitive.”
