“It's a very strange method of treating a headache. I must say, it helps every time I use it. It hasn't gotten rid of my headache totally, but it makes the symptoms bearable. I just wish I could use it twice, as a longer application would be more helpful”

As far as still having a migraine after your treatment: If your migraine headache is not aborted following treatment, you may administer additional treatments. We do not have a limit on the number of times you may treat in a day, though we have no data on daily or long-term use. Please consult your healthcare provider to discuss long-term use. “I think it's a great treatment for headaches/migraines. I know it works better the earlier you use it when you start to have a bad migraine. I really like the fact that it's a not an actual medication with a bunch of negative side effects. Compared to normal migraine medicine.”

“I didn't fully understand exactly how this was going to work, but I love it. It goes on your upper arm and start it and for 45 minutes it sends electrical pulses to your brain stem and it has meditation videos to help keep you calm while the treatment continues. The only thing it hasn't treated for me is my extreme neck stiffness, otherwise, my migraine almost melts away with the treatment”

Thank you for sharing your experience. Here are some recommendations on setting the intensity of your Nerivio device. This may help you when treating while engaging in different types of activities. Since each migraine attack is different, there is no one right setting. The intensity should be strong, but never painful, and should be set within the first few minutes of treatment.    The + and – buttons on your phone screen allow you to set the level, and just after you start a treatment, you can repeatedly press the “plus” button to increase intensity until the sensation feels strong but not uncomfortable.  During clinical trials, the most effective treatment was obtained with intensities over 20% and with averages between 25 and 35%. If you do not get to 20%, however, do not worry, as long as it feels strong. Although the intensity may feel as if it gets weaker during treatment; this is normal and is just your body adjusting to the sensation; there is no need to increase the intensity further.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please give us a call at Nerivio Cares at (937)‐637‐4846 Monday‐Friday 8am‐8pm EST.
