“We ordered a postbox with next day delivery on Thursday afternoon. We therefore expected delivery on Monday. On Monday we were staggered to receive an email acknowledgement of the order, (ie the day we should have received it) and informing us that there was a delay. That should have been sent immediately on receipt of the order. We only ordered because of next day delivery.”

Dear Timothy, Thank you for your feedback. We replicated your order experience and found the product page states there is a 7-10 day lead time on that postbox. Also, where the delivery options are selected there is a note in bold which reads "Next day delivery only available on off the shelf items. Please check before selecting next day delivery". I am sorry if this was not clear enough. We did try to find the desired postbox so we could achieve a next day but sadly there were none to be found. So our delivery update was emailed with a reminder of the stated lead time and to advise that the surcharge would be refunded to you. We pride ourselves on providing clear information and our team goes above and beyond to try and over deliver but we will discuss your comments at our next team meeting to see how we could have improved your shopping experience. Dear John, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback and for the FIVE STAR review :) We have looked at your order. An email notification was sent with the delivery date (next working day) on 20 Mar 2015 14:37:23. (could this email have gone in your spam folder?). Your order was sent with our free standard carrier service we can upgrade to a timed delivery on most occasions at extra charge if requested. A text notification from the carrier is also offered if we are provided with a mobile number. There is always room for improvement and we will look at how we can do better with delivery notifications and times. Total Safes Team

Hi Kelly, Thank you for your feedback. You raise a valid point. It's more common than you might expect for instructions and fixtures and fittings to be locked inside a new safe. This is because for key safes the keys are usually attached to the outside of the safe and for digital locking safes, the code is usually to manufacturer settings e.g. "1234" When our own team delivers a safe, we also install it (for free) and we demonstrate how to operate the lock. But when the safe is delivered by a 3rd party carrier you don't get the demo. On these occasions I think it needs to be better communicated how to open the safe for the first time, perhaps on the inner packaging of the safe. I have fed this back to the manufacturer concerned.
