2019 Highlander. Overall the vehicle was not that bad, not that good either. The dealerships are terrible! Had three dealerships same issue. Could not get part (purge valve) installed an after market, less than four weeks failed. Charged close to two hundred dollars diagnostic fee each time, finally found out the after market value is not compatible with stop start system. And the dealer would not warranty the valve. Close to a thousand dollars by time I got it fixed. Traded car in got rid of it. Was never so relieved about getting rid of a car.

Ive bought 4 cars from toyota. First 3 times, no issues or problems. Now i go back to toyota inver grove heights, get through everything. So now a month and a half later my bank says i still owe 800 for my car. Apperently when the salesperson asked how much i still owe, i said around 30k. So when he made the deal with me he never bothered to ask what the exact pay off was and went with my estimated amount. You would figure that a multibillion dollar company would have safe guards to protect customer's and themselves. But in the long run i get screwed and Toyota as a company doesnt care. Even had the financial advisor tell me she would call me last tuesday and still nothing. Im sure not one person will try and fix this so this is for nothing. Be aware of salesperson s at toyota.

I had a brand new Toyota Grand Highlander Limited finish it was an expensive car but the selle man showed me how big was the Gos screen and the remote start was a nice feature (I’m living in Florida ) I was very surprised to find out that was just “trail” fir one year and after that its an expensive subscription!!! For Gps like in the 90’s in a Limited finish 62 000$ car ? I feel like a milking cow 🐄 and decided that my next car will be NOT be a Toyota this way from number one automaker to squeeze few more dollars from consumers is not acceptable shame on you Toyota!

I couldn't be more BARELY out of warranty and was just told I need a new motor at no fault of my own. I have done nothing but take the best care of my vehicle and bought with this brand because I was told they cared for their customers and the strength of their brand only to be told to pound sand for a problem that is almost certainly the same problem the very next model year has an active recall for in the exact same motor I have in mine. I likely won't be getting another Toyota after this. Terrible customer experience that doesn't reflect how highly I've been reccomended them.

I recently had a problem with my Toyota Camry, 2003. I made a stop at a store and when I went to my car the car wouldn’t start. AAA came, and I had it towed to my home. I was able to start the car by pressing lock then unlock. That worked for awhile but then it wouldn’t start. Luckily, I was in my driveway. I had it towed to Toyota in Mamaroneck. Paid $270.88 including tax for the diagnostic test for them to tell me it was electrical , and I would need to pay $2,800 to get it fixed. It wasn’t electrical, it needed a starter. Even my mechanic spoke to them. I told them at service that there is no way I would be paying that amount for a car that is 22 years old. Again, had it towed from Toyota to a local mechanic, and he put in a new starter for $800.00!

I bought 10 Tacomas and 7 Highlanders from Toyota over the last 30 years. My fiber glass tonneau cover blew off my Tacoma on the interstate almost killing a guy in a Tesla. When I called to get it replaced, they said it wasn't covered under warranty! I will never buy another Toyota again! Terrible customer service!

I am very disappointed and unfortunately, I believe that depending on what happens today (03/19) I will no longer be a customer of another Toyota, because my wife and me bought two new Toyota cars in 2019, although we had other details during the periodic reviews, as in the case of her Rav-4 that required a review of the air conditioning, after that day the car has water ingress in the two front corners, soaking the carpets, and they had the nerve to say that their service had no connection with the water ingress that mysteriously started after their review of the AC. Now in the case of the Corolla, it is being very sad and revolting at the same time, because a light came on on the dashboard asking to go to the Dealer due to some anomaly in the system, this already happened approximately 02 years or more ago. So I went to Ira Toyota, where all the inspections have always been done. When the car was there, they checked it at the same time I was there. They didn't generate any documents, because according to them, it was just a check via scanner and it had already been fixed, without any further information being given. I thought it was something normal, but it happened again some time later. I told them that I was getting worried because I wanted to know if it was a problem covered by the warranty. They told me that it was, but they would analyze what it was. They did a diagnostic on the exhaust sensors and another one that I didn't know about, and reset the code again. I immediately thought that they had replaced the part. When they told me that they hadn't, I asked why that was worrying me, because if the car were no longer covered by the warranty, I would be at a loss, since the problem has been bothering me for a while and is still under warranty. Ok, they told me that I didn't need to worry, that it would be covered by the warranty. However, about 10 days ago it happened again and they reset the code again with the same allegations, and that if it happened again I was to take it there again, and unfortunately the light came on again. I scheduled an appointment for today (03/19/2025), and when I left the car there I was informed that I would be charged for a diagnostic job because the car was not covered by the warranty and that they should charge for it, I informed them everything that is in this text and they continued to want to charge me for the service. In other words, and in addition to the countless setbacks and stresses of simply replacing the defective factory parts according to research on forums specialized in Toyota and Corolla's of this year and model, they are now wanting to fix it and charge for it? Is that right? And the warranty that I had and they didn't resolve it at that time, why? I hope for a quick and definitive solution to this case, taking into account the consumer of this brand and the stresses that have occurred so far. It is important to note that we still have another car, but what about consumers who do not have this condition! It is also important to remember that we will also want a solution for the case of my wife's Rav-4. We will wait for a solution for this case and hope that the problem that has been faced for more than two years will be resolved. Only then will we be able to modify this review. Thank you for your attention.

Have been dealing with peeling paint on 2016 white Toyota Tacoma that started right after the paint warranty expired. Was told the paint was a bad mixture from the start and Toyota was going to repaint the white vehicles. As it turns out, they are going to only repaint a little, around the side windows- that's it. Paint is peeled off the hood, around the door frames. Most concerning is above the windshield, which is now rusting. These trucks are not cheap and when you pay the money to buy a new vehicle you don't expect to get a "lemon" paint job. I spent a lot of time getting estimates, taking pictures and calls back & forth to Toyota. Very disappointing. Bottom line is they just don't care that their bad paint peeled off & continues to peel. I'm left with an ugly truck with only 56,400 miles. Very embarrassing! Next time I'll buy Ford. I've read that they do have good paint.

My family owns a 2024 Prius prime xse very sporty and comfortable and stylish we loved the car but what we hate most is taking it to the dealer or getting it towed in for service car is only 2,700 miles barely driven but it’s very disappointing when services can’t solve the issues or they have to wait till other people have same issues to call in for a recall that’s unacceptable especially a car that cost over $35k !!!

There was a double payment made and they’re saying that I have to wait 10 days before I get one of my payment’s back and customer service people were rude was questioning me and grilling me to speak to a manager besides getting 5 different answers from the people. They told me to call my bank to cancel which would’ve cost me a fee however both payment were withdrawn from my account. The left hand don’t know what the right hand is doing if I knew Toyota customer service was like Ford customer service I would’ve stayed with Chevy. Never had this issue with any other company.

Purchased Prius Prime XSE vehicle from (FRED HAAS MOTORS LTD 20400 145 NORTH, SPRING TX, 77373) on 08/25/2004. Approximately 6 months ago. I began having trouble with the 12 volt battery constantly draining thus causing the vehicle not to start. Vehicle issues started after the first week i bought the vehicle which was the last week of August 2024. My vehicle has been at two separate Toyota dealerships, on 4 separate occasions. The vehicle was towed again on December 21st 2024 for the 5th time and still at dealership for repairs. I took my vehicle back to the dealer for repairs on 09/03/2024, 09/16/2024, 09/21/2024, 11/01/2024, 12/21/2024 but, to date, the dealer has been unable to correct the problem. TWO TEXAS LEMON LAW CASES HAVE BEEN OPENED UP

Case# 241101000863 - had my 2022 Tundra for less than two months before it became unsafe to operate. Recall was unavailable and no ETA from dealer or Toyota when it would be made available. I've been paying for a vehicle that has been collecting dust in the back of the dealer's lot for 5 months. I contacted Brand management with optimism of getting my issue resolved. I waited two months to receive an email with no explanation only the statement "we are unable to offer any assistance at this time." I thought this company valued consumer loyalty. This was my first Toyota. I can't even remember what it looks like. It is really disappointing that the simple ask was to buy it back and allow me to purchase another vehicle without the defect impacting over 100K vehicles. I'm rethinking that it maybe time to take my loyalty to a manufacturer that actually stands by their commitment to quality. I purchased a vehicle that almost killed my family as the engine shut down on the highway and wanted to give them second chance. Yeah I think I'm done with empty words and being just a number on a balance sheet.

Terrible. I purchased a 2021 Toyota 4runner February 2021. It has cost me over $4000 in engine repairs. That is more than 7 previously owned Toyota,Lexus problems put together. From research I have found that Toyota is not the best quality vehicle anymore. A few Japanese brands have overtaken Toyota, such as Subaru and Honda. Toyota=Less Reliability now.

Toyota holds back on apps you as the owner can install to make the car and driving it more pleasurable. Even something as simple as a map app. If you want a map you have to pay them a monthly fee. What's wrong with allowing the screen to interface with the owners phone and mirroring the screen so we can use the map app we all already have the way other manufacturers do. Toyota has just gotten too greedy and that also reflects in the number of recalls they have for poorly made parts .

Buyer beware! What sold us on the 2021 Rav4 was the pre collision sensor and thats exactly what doesnt work. Our vehicle was totaled out because of an accident. The sensor didnt work when it was supposed to. I reported it thru toyota corporate and they said they would investigate the vehicle and would get back to me. I called two more times to speak to my case manager and after 35 days they told me they havent even started and thats after they said they already started. They are liars and crappy vehicles. Better off with a KIA!!! Toyota is garbage!!!

"I bought a brand-new 2024 Tundra, and on the third day, it started making a horrible noise. I called the dealer, and we took it in that same week, but they did NOTHING. Then it started having brake issues, and to summarize: since April 2024, I’ve been waiting, and NEITHER THE DEALER NOR TOYOTA HAS DONE ANYTHING. They just say it has brake problems and that parts are unavailable for replacement. I almost had an accident due to brake failure, and TOYOTA AND THE DEALER don’t care about people’s lives. The TUNDRA keeps getting worse every day, and since April, NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED, PUTTING OUR LIVES AT RISK. They also haven’t given us the second key, claiming they don’t have it. TOYOTA IS DEFINITELY IRRESPONSIBLE."

When they do a recall on a particular part, why don't they recall on all vehicles with the same part? When they put out a customer advisory, why don't the service personnel tell the customer that there is a customer advisory? Why are two parts dealing with the brakes almost $4,000 to replace? That means my Toyota Prius c 2012 is worth over $100,000. For me, Toyota didn't stand behind their product. I was not having an issue with the parts until now but I didn't know that there was an advisory out.

I had issues setting up my payment. It took forever to get through to an actual person. The back ground noise was so loud I couldn’t hear or understand her. She finally just put me on hold and hung up. Worst customer service ever; and I’ve had a lot! Also, I couldn’t find any live chat.

I have a 2025 Toyota Camry I have an issue while holding the break. The vehicle would move forward. This has happened twice. I have another issue with the vehicle in park. The vehicle tries to move forward like it’s in drive and the engine and cooling fan start making noise in the vehicle lifts up like it wants to move. I have another issue while driving a vehicle down the road at approximately 45 miles an hour the vehicles jerks back-and-forth in Europe PMs go up and down my wife and daughter do not feel safe in the vehicle and I have no other choice but to go with a different manufacturer because when I went to the dealership, Toyota sent somebody out to look at my vehicle and at the time they could not find anything wrong with it, and they told me at the dealer that if this problem happens again, they are not allowed to look at it because Toyota already looked at it. I think this way of business is unfair just because they couldn’t find the problem. The first time doesn’t mean they couldn’t solve it the second
