I booked 3 rooms meaning all to be using flexible rate but unfortunately one was saver. I immediately rung travel lodge to amend saver room to flexible but they said it couldn't be done.! I can't understand why this unable to be amended.

I have been using this Travelodge since it was built, Mel your receptionist treats us like old friends and is very helpful. We been for three years because of illness and Covid but some things do not change, so I doubt if we will come back. The banging of the exit and entry door, is a mental challenge and if I am paying for a good nights sleep it is what I would want. It does not happen in many of your lodges we have stayed in throughout the UK. I know it is a Fire door but there has to be a way out. Also when are you going to get bigger televisions in your rooms, your competitors have already done this.

Cleanliness good. No hot breakfast, only breakfast to go. Family room above weatherspoons entrance so noisy. Bath not big enough for adult and not very warm. No hair dryer. Staff not overly friendly. No staff seen on Sunday departure. I do not think value for money and would request a partial refund. Please contact me. I do not think it

Staff were great but lodge itself was very tired. Our door would not lock at night. There was no phone reception inside and very little outside. The T/L WiFi was very poor with only the dot and sometimes one ray. Took so long to use it. The bedding and towels were fine and they were more than happy refresh both them and teas and coffees.

It was easy however I could not find the room I wanted and it did not tell me that type of room was not available.

A little on the expensive side, but you do know what you’re getting, which includes a breakfast which is just about adequate.

I have scored based purely on the quality of the room. We stayed for one night in a newly refurbed room. The carpet was new, bathroom redone, new chairs and heater I think. Old units and bed. The cleanliness wasn't up to much, there were no net curtains and we were in a room overlooking other windows so felt we couldn't have our curtains open, no privacy. Bed creaked and squeaked. Mattress and pillows were manageable. Disappointed for a newly refurbed room (also no hairdryer) but served a purpose. IF however I could score for a particular staff member, I would give Trevor a 5*. I spoke to him on phone pre arrival and he was helpful, understanding and did his absolute upmost for us given what he had at his disposal. He was also there at check in and was friendly and helpful then too. I do hope he gets recognition. So although I scored 3, this is based on the room only.

Eranda on Reception was helpful. Extra grab handles in shower would be a way to make your equipment safer for us 85 yr.old. A few interesting local photos on room walls would make it lo.ok less like a cell. More discount on late bookings would encourage us to stay more often.

I think it should be made easier if you want to amend your booking. Website only gave me the option to cancel and I only wanted to change hotels. Also...I think you should have 24 hours to change your mind or cancel without being charged.

We went to the Travel Lodge south promenade. Wrong travel lodge, having just paid £28 for 2 days at their overflow car park. We waited around 29 mins for the attendant to come back. He ever appeared. We then went to Travel lodge south shore. Checked in, room find apart from no soup in dispenser and brown mark on quilt cover. Reported to reception and 8 hours later still none has come to sort it. Had meal in hotel, enjoyed the meal. Bar had no ice for drinks. Service slow.

Nice and easy to book. Only very annoying thing was how quickly your prices went up. I had looked to book late the night before and didn’t have time so thought to book my room the next day. Went to book and the cost of the room went up £192 up to £204 . I needed the room so quickly booked before it went up anymore. I know that my friends who are stay had got it for the original price.

As an upcoming business, I would have thought that we could have received a better discount on our recent booking. We have twelve engineers that will require accommodation regularly this year, So hopefully moving forward, we can reach a suitable agreement for both parties. regards, Mark Webb

Room is clean but the corridors smelled musky as we walked down the long corridors.

The website is really difficult to use to book rooms. My wife, who trains IT users, found difficulty in booking us two rooms for one night. I like Travelodge, but I will try others rather than struggle with their online booking system.

When we arrived my wife went for a shower after a long travel. However the shower backed up with water. The attendant dealt with the matter quickly thankfully so all of us could get showered. The overall room However was crampt for a "family" room and we thought it was strange that neither of the beds had duvets on them and instead they were rolled up under a chair. We quickly realised why; the room was unbearably warm and there was no AC to help. We also didn't have any hand-wash or hair/body wash in the dispensers- thankfully We had our own. Overall the room was disappointing to say the least but thankfully the fact it was close to many amenities meant we spent very little time in the room.

A little difficult when paying. Seemed to want me to use Apple Pay. Nearly ended up booking twice. Directions need to be a bit clearer. Other than that very good. Would it be possible (maybe is but haven’t found it) to find the cheapest hotel in a say 15 mile radius?
