Friendly staff members but the state of the room I was given was horrific, especially the carpet which had splatters of blood stains on the floor! To be specific avoid room 209. You wouldn't want to walk around barefoot either as the floor felt sticky and the colour of the carpet is changing as it's very old. There's also dust on the desk near the kettle area and there isn't a blowdrier if you wash your hair. You cannot open your curtains unless you want to become friends with the other guest staying opposite you as their window is directly facing yours. Other than that, the toilet and shower was clean, no traces of pubic hair or skid marks. I had to use shower gel to wash my hands though because the cleaner clearly forget to top up the hand gel dispenser. The hallway smells like marijuana as well which isn't nice for anyone that doesn't smoke. The best things of the room is the positioning of the TV which is right above the double bed, the 4 pillows you're given is a touch and there are type b charging points attached to the bed frame. 2 stars for me.

After using my account to reserve one room at a Travelodge hotel I attempted to reserve another room at a different hotel. When I got to the "proceed with secure payment" I get "invalid postal code" error. I live in the United States and have entered my address in my account accordingly. Somehow the system has changed my postal code to a UK postal code and there is no way to change it back to the correct US postal code (the "not in UK" button does not appear on the check out pages. Even when my postal code did display correctly in my account, when I go to the "proceed with secure payment" option the system continues to assume I am in the UK and the "Not in the UK" button is not available on the screen. I had to reserve my desired location and room outside of my account as it appeared to be the only way to get the reservation. Now I am told there is no way to get this reservation into my account. The Chat representative was as helpful as they could be but was unable to resolve my issues. Calling Central Reservations Team would cost me $3 per minute so is not something I feel prepared to do to try to resolve this issue. There is an issue with the website regarding foreign customers. Please pass this on to whatever team may be able to fix these issues.

Hi I am sorry to say that I will never return here again .The room waiting for a change due to overpowering smell of chemicals Making me gip almost passing out. Waited ages still waiting to be served evening meal once person cooking in the kitchen and one staff member booking in rooms and serving food and drinks. For what I paid terrible is not the word . I will never return to South Shore travel lodge in Blackpool

I was unable to complete the booking first time because of Internet issues and when I was able to book later the same day the price had increased!!!

Slightly dismayed that when I tried to book, the payment page would not load. This happened on several attempts. When I finally was able to book the original booking price had gone up £9 which seemed a bit of a liberty. Very poor service.

Very basic. Cafe very poor. The young staff grossly undermanaged and understaffed but trying their best. Evidently managers leave around 3 p.m. and they are left to cope. Luckily only needed one night accommodation.

We arrived at 2am ish. Fantastic friendly chap on the counter, gave us extra milk as I was looking forward to a cup of tea as we had been travelling for hours. On the negative side, no soap in dispenser by sink , dirty towel , no cover on the spare pillow, hair on pillow on bed. Carpet looked very dirty -kept my flip flops on. Why you don’t remove all carpets & put hard flooring I don’t know. Telly did work on BBC channels when we arrived but something happened so could only watch the commercial channels. On the plus side convenient location from airport to very west wales & your fantastic staff. Young lady the next morning was fab too. We always recommended & used Travelodge but it’s no longer the value it was & the rooms recently have been a bit tatty. Many others people are recommending your competitors to us.

It was hard booking on a phone.The response time was slow and not always correct.On one occasion I had two rooms in my basket!!!

Room smelt musty. Other guests very loud shouting in corridors. Did not feel particularly safe as a lone female traveller.

I tried several times to book the room with no success. It went OK until I reached payment then nothing . My daughter in law tried for me but the same thing happened. You must have lost a great deal of customers. This is not a review of my stay just the booking procedure. I have stayed at the strand several times, I like the hotel.

Upon arrival the night staff was awesome, promt and very helpful. Great start. We arrived very late after a 8 hour drive and was desperate for a nice hot bath n bed. The bathroom and bedroom were filthy, did not want to get a bath, previous guest pubic hair in the bath, mouldy shower curtains, soap scum on the side of the bath, awful dirty taps and shower. Sink had to be cleaned before I could bring myself to brush my teeth. Mirror was half wiped. Bathroom bin caked in dust/dirt. The bathroom floor was the cleanest part. The bedroom was caked in dust, skirting boards, head board, windowsill also has previous spill on it, also the flooring has not had a good hoover in a long time.
