“I needed to book 5 rooms 11 months in advance. It was easy to do on the website and I could choose from 2 price options to book. All in all very easy!”

“Excellent stay except for the size of our room 706 it would be nice for one person but very tight for two in their late 80s. Staff, food and cleanliness would be very hard to beat. Will definitely be back.”

“It was easy to change locations from Battersea to Clapham Junction. I haven't stayed there yet, so I can't say how nice the room is. I am looking forward to my trip to London.”

“The staff in all areas of the hotel were excellent. The room was excellent, spotlessly clean and lovely and fresh smelling. The evening meal was very nice Many of the items at breakfast were dried up and tasteless.”

“22nd June Stopped at Chieveley on my way back from Norwich as nil reply from Customer services to discover from the duty Manager that my room had been recorded as a NO SHOW by staff and NOT the fact site were completely over booked ! Also that I could and should have been given a refund on the spot - I was told the staff on duty on 19th weren't able to do this ! So staff manipulate system and lie to customers ! A disgrace ..... Customer services NOW replied and advise 5 days to get a reply due to volume of queries !!! I wonder why when working with staff such as those at Chieveley !!!! 21st JUNE Latest update ..... Complaint e mail now returned from Travelodge site !!!!!! Looking forward to telephone conversation and undoubted lengthy delay in getting through ..... FIRST ISSUE 19 June 2023 Awful ...... due to stay there in Chieveley tonight 19th June . Rooms overbooked by 16 .... Couldn't be found a room in nearby Reading so very quickly arranged alternative accommodation ... Await outcome of complaint , speed of refund and offer to compensate for time , frustration and awful service !!!! Be careful and check BJT beware I had received e mails , sms messages and confirmation of rooms so clearly systems not able to compute !!!! Poor ....”

“The price of the room was very competitive so no complaints there. The room itself was basic and the soap dispenser was empty or did not work. The curtains did not fully close properly.”

“Location good. Housekeeping was totally inadequate,shower not cleaned when we arrived and never cleaned during our four night stay.Carpet at doorway very dirty and room was never vacuumed while we were there. Fortunately York was a fantastic city to visit and we did not spend a great deal of time in the room”
