“Huge room with one bed, a couple of chairs and a table fixed to the wall. No attempt to make it comfortable. Huge pretence of cheap rates but they never are. Staff are excellent and it seems to be the usual case of lions led by donkeys. I have no respect for Travelodge Management. Rooms only fit for one or two night stays on your way to somewhere. Any more than that and it's not a pleasant experience. I remember when it was run by a proper company -Forte. Now Travelodge is a pale shadow of what it was.”

“Online booking site crashed as I was trying to pay. After second successful attempt I found that the booking fee had been taken out of my account twice. After ringing the helpline I was told there was nothing they could do about it and to ring my bank. A very poor booking experience.”

“Haven’t stayed in a Travelodge for many years but was told that they are now dog friendly which suits us fine. Usually trying to book anywhere online when you are bringing dogs is a nightmare but not with Travelodge. All the booking options are there under ‘extras’ so my booking was easy and straightforward without the added expense of having to make a phone call at high cost. Well done Travelodge booking system!”

“I was very pleased to find a last minute, reasonably priced room for my husband who was going away on business. One criticism of Travelodge is that you don't provide free wifi. We mostly stay at Premier Inn due to this fact. At the very least, you should not limit each wifi booking to two devices. We often go away as a family and therefore have multiple devices with us. This makes wifi charges at Travelodge very costly, which is why we switched to Premier.”

“Poor service. Fire alarm due to a drunk person smoking in a room at 5am. That same person was banging on my door at 6am. The bin wasnt emptied by the staff when i put the notice on the door. The towels werent replaced when asked. They just picked the same towels off the floor -where you needed to leave them - and lay them on my bed.”
