The experience was totally spoilt by the track being far too short. The staff were efficient and friendly, the cars were ( mostly ) good but the track was a useless circle half mile in each direction. There was no way of getting up to full speed ( or even 100mph ) before you had to brake for the corners. The track was a circle of cones making up just a fraction of the area of the venue so it is not as if there was not the space for a proper sized track. I guess the track was short so they could push as many people through as possible.

I thought the briefing was very good and thorough, I enjoyed driving the Aston Martin the power of the car was outstanding! However I was very disappointed to find out my drive had not been filmed because that's what I really wanted to buy and the people dealing with the situation were not at all sympathetic or understanding.

Hi James, thank you for giving us your feedback. I'm really sorry that your drive did not record. I'm going to chase up with our supplier and will let you know if we can retrieve for you. We aim to give our customers a high standard of customer services so it's disappointing that you were let down with their response as well. I will get in touch if we can find any footage of you. Kind regards Clare

Limited track layout, having done proper TRACK experience before, oval circuit, with cones, lacked exhilaration at that Cost!

The straights are ok but the bends really aren't acceptable. The cones on the bends should be a lot, lot wider apart so that a car can be driven considerably faster round the bends.

I have always dreamed of driving a Lamborghini and Ferrari. And U Drive Cars made my dream come true. But the cars was overused and this affect the performance of the cars.

Great team, good instructors, and a relaxed atmosphere, the laps were over very quickly though. The Audi R8 was a fabulous car.

Hi Des, sorry you were so disappointed. The track is laid out to give everyone the chance to drive the cars in a fun way and experience driving a car they wouldn't normally have the chance to. If you want a race track there are lots of options, the price reflects this, but might suit you better. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Kind regards Clare

Got to drive some dream cars for a reasonable price in a safe environment. Disappointed by 2/3 instructors making me short shift VERY early and start braking well before the braking marker. Felt more like a passenger than a driver which was disappointing. Also asked one of the staff if they could call me a taxi but was told to ask someone else. Ended up doing it myself and trying to guide the driver to the pickup point as best I could. Underwhelmed.

Very good car (mk3 Mini Cooper), excellent instructor and good track. However 6 laps just isn't enough - the experience was over in 10 minutes...not great value for money.

Bought the package as a surprise 21st birthday present for my son. Overall its a good experience, as so many others have said it is a slick set up. Iim all he loved it, but for me it was a little hurried. It supposed to be 'an experience'. I opted for a pack where he got to drive 4 top class cars. All really quick and looks nice. I think the extra damage insurance is a swiss, tbh £20 is £20, another way to rip some more cash off you. Considering you get no additional paperwork Im not sure what you buy except giving £20. We are told that we could look at the cars in pit lane.. well look ..not close up? didn't understand that, granted its a driving experience. But a look over the cars would be good. The track is lot shorter than expected. However, enough of a straight to get 170mph out of the Lamborghini. It was all very hurried, and to one really for the 'family' to experience. We made a trip out of it as it was a birthday. I personally thought the worst bit was a the 'high speed lap'. the instructor simply got in, loaded the car with 4 people and shot off round the track, didn't give any commentary, any comment really and that it was it, all done. An opportunity to give a demonstration drive rather than a 'fair ground ride'. Was it good, yes, was it vague for money not sure, did my son enjoy it, yes, would we do it again, probably not. Was it a missed opportunity to get repeat business, yes, but then again the through put says you don't need to, would just be nice to be treated to a little more and treated like it was a a thrill. It wasnt a corporate event, this was a private session. Go for it enjoy it, but U Drive . give a little more please . Marc

Dear Marc Thank you for giving us your feedback, it is important to us and we do act on it. I've spoken to the staff that were on the pit lane when your son drove. The four drives were all completed faster than were planned. The session was relatively quiet and so each time he returned to the pit lane the next car was ready. However, he was always asked if he wanted to go again or wait until the planned time and he took the option to drive straight away. I can understand that for you as spectators and the giver of the experience that you wanted it to last a bit longer. It's hard to manage everyone's expectations but we do try to gauge each customers requirements. I'm sorry you went away disappointed. Kind regards Clare

Brilliant car! Good support staff. Track not suited to a mini though nor an instructor who offers no instruction and takes up a disproportionate part of the cockpit nice though he was.

Whilst the administration and process of channelling clients through their experience was very efficient, the use of the car (a Mini Cooper in my case) was rushed, and preparation for driving it on the circuit was wholly inadequate. And with the circuit composed of a forest of identical cones, identifying and anticipating the line, the corners, and the braking requirements was horrendous. I spoke to a number of fellow clients on the day who felt just the same - a state of shock that so little acclimatisation with the car was built into the schedule. On top of that, the briefing room map did not even show the circuit, and the bus ride around it was a joke in comparison with what is actually required to navigate the sea of cones at speed.

Thanks for the feedback Keith, we will discuss in our event debrief meeting. Clare

Friendly staff and great instructors allow you to enjoy driving these fantastic cars. Great choice of vehicles to suit everyone's needs. Only downside for me would be the track. It is a small oval so doesn't really give you enough of a challenge when it comes to the driving experience. Not enough corners or variety and defo not long enough straights to really experience the power of these beautiful cars.

Experience in the car was great but the track at Heyford park was very poor and no spectator viewing. Very short track with no driving experience to be had

As I had to cancel my experience because my wife was ill, I cannot give a review. Such a shame you do not give credits. A lot of money to lose

Very disappointed that you are not fully insured for your customers. The price quoted should include FULL INSURANCE and not be expected to pay a further £20 to cover the first £2000 excess in the event of any accident. Additional charges for photographs etc are quite acceptable, but it is wrong not to fully insure your customers. Very disappointed by this, and it spoilt my enjoyment of the event.

Very good instruction and great cars but the track wasn't a track I was expecting to be on a real racing circuit not just two straight s and two conew off corners

"Reality to be greater than the perceived image" this was not to be in this case. A Red Letter Day is normally a gift from someone and shared by others when taken, therefor the facilities need to be improved in the main building and to include better seating and catering facilities! The circuit is uninteresting and 'cone confusing' and not viewable from a spectators point of view, who are there also to partake in the occasion. The pre drive briefing was conducted at break neck speed and showed a map of a clockwise circuit! For me, it was more about the experience of the event rather than thrashing some car around and to this end I was disappointed.
