“Placed my order on 15.03. And just like many other reviewers on this site, I still have not received anything. Have chased 3 times and every time they say it’s at the stage of dispatching and I’m not allowed to cancel my order. They advised that the only way how I can get my money back is by actually waiting for this delivery (which might never arrive) and refusing it and sending back. I’m not an exper but seems like a breach of my consumer rights, I am now raising this with my bank to see if I can dispute this transaction via bank as this seems like a very dodgy company, would not recommend anyone to place orders with them. Shame I didn’t read these reviews before I placed the order, the worst service ever!”

“Ordered 3 weeks ago. I emailed after a week to enquire about my delivery. No response. I rang to chase the order 7 days ago to find out they had no idea where my order was but 'to cover our backs' it would be a further 7 - 10 days until I received it. Will it? Who knows. Awful service. I will not be using Van Meuwen again.”

“Ordered on 25th March. Firstly some items came up £7 more expensive on order than on the item page, so removed them and chose again. All items said dispatch within 7 days. 8 days later no sign of them or email advice. The tracking from the order confirmation cannot find the order. Ring customer services - on hold for more than 20 minutes while they repeatedly play a recording saying how wonderful their system is. Eventually get through to customer services who identify themselves as 'Thompson & Morgan'. They tell me they know tracking isn't working. My order hasn't been dispatched. It will be another 10 working days. Not impressed, and I haven't even received the plants yet to know what they will be like.”

“Ordered a pair of Bay Trees on 18th March, invoice stated dispatch within 2 days. I had not received by Tuesday 26th March phoned to check where my order was, only to be told they had not been dispatched and to ring again end of week, having spent 17 minutes on phone waiting to speak to a customer advisor today Friday 29th March told yet again item not dispatched. I cancelled my order. I had previously attempted to track my order via their website, but stated that there was no record of my order. I am afraid I won’t be using this company again.”

“Awful awful awful - my advice never to buy from them or their sister company Thompson and Morgan who I had the misfortune to buy online from in the past. I ordered 36 strawberry and 9 raspberry plants and a packet of seeds from them in February. They sent me 12 strawberry plants and a packet of seeds first off then nothing for a few weeks after several phone calls they sent the raspberry plants. I am still waiting for the rest of the strawberry plants more than 2 months later. They tell me they are being picked and i will receive them in 7 to 10 working days which makes it sometime in April. I would urge people not to buy from them, their customer service is bad as well they don’t reply to emails.”

“I have been buying plants from Van Meuwen for about 6 years spending £300 to £400 a year last year i had problems with plants that were dead or dying on arrival but they did send replacements. This year i have so far had 5 emals ignored about plants i have not recieved which they listed as dispatched i wont be ordering from them again”

“Purchased a special offer on March 19th 2019 . payment went through ok but error page came up . Therefore I wasn't given a reference number or confirmation of order . Have emailed van meuwen several times but they haven't bothered to reply, but they have taken my money .Won't be buying off them again”

“I placed an order with Van Meuwen on 8 March 2019 and was told that delivery would be within 7 days. Nothing has arrived despite me sending them 2 emails asking them to confirm when they would be delivering the plants. I have today tried to check the status of my order on their site and it says there is no record of my order despite receiving a 'Thank You' confirmation of my order saying that it was completed successfully. I have today spoken to someone at Van Meuwen this morning who told me that a letter was sent out to me stating that due to unforeseen problems, my order was going to be delayed. Today I have been informed that my order will be sent out in 10 days. I have dealt with Van Meuwen by email and have not received any correspondence by post or email from them whatsoever and I am sure they are lying. When I tried to check the status of my order on their site, it stated that there was no record of it. I would not advise anyone to order plants from this unreliable company.”

“Paid 50.91 they took the money and no plants,lying csa’s promising refund, will use distance selling laws against them and PayPal, don’t use this terrible company. This refund will take more than 14 days!!! Avoid this company”

“I ordered begonia fireball tubers back in February as it is important that my window boxes follow a colour scheme so I was more than mortified when the first flower opened and it is WHITE. There is no excuse for this mixup and I'm not surprised that 81.48% give only 1 star rating. This is not the first time they have let me down BUT IT WILL BE THE LAST !! If you want quality plants and service buy from Brookfield Nursery 5 star”

“9 months after i placed a small order from van meuwen , not only was my order apx 3 weeks late. But 9 months later I'm still getting junk mail from them. I have asked them so many times to stop but they ignore me. It took 6 months to stop them emailing me almost daily with junk offers, I would unsubscribe and email them to ask please stop.. But again they would ignore me. I would advise everyone not to buy from them online as they will have all your deatails and you will be harassed. Mia.”
