“We heard about Viatu through a family member and have to say at first we were a bit skeptical, but the service was very professional. They were able to meet all our requests, answer a million questions, were mostly very responsive and helped us put together an amazing honeymoon in Tanzania and Zanzibar. The Safari was by far one of the best experiences we had ever had. 5 stars from the moment we landed in Arusha to the moment we left for Zanzibar - the food, the people, the camps (Oliver's Camp, the Highlands and Dunia Camp), the service, the singing - honestly we have no words! It was awesome. Even in Zanzibar when we weren't too happy with our beach hotel (we had chosen ourselves) the Viatu team helped us to quickly change our arrangements and get a refund. We highly recommend Viatu and their partner Asilia - hands down one of the best trips ever! Thanks!”

“In short: Our trip was absolutely terrific. Alexeja provided us with every information needed and arranged the short time we had in the best possible way I could imagine. She considered all of our wishes and needs, especially concerning that I was a First-Timer, and all we had to do was to enjoy. The accomodations were beautiful and the balance between adventure and relaxation on point. I especially loved her recommemdation to visit the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehab Centre, which gave us the possibility to dive deeper into the South African Wild and to educate ourselves. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful country and will absolutely come back soon.”

“After a wonderful and rather last-minute trip to Cape Town, I decided to book my second Viatu trip to South Africa. This time around we only had one week to start and finish in Johannesburg and explored Kruger National Park. I never expected to see and experience this much in just a week and yet have so much time to wind down and relax! The surprisingly green Blyde River Canyon was beautiful from above and below on the water. On self-drive safaris (with the best tips from the Viatu blog), open vehicle game drives and a life-changing bush walk we got to see 4 out of the big5 (unfortunately no rhino), endangered wild dogs and cheetah! Elephants came to join our dinner at Baluleni Lodge every night and I can't wait to go back for my next wild escape!”

“We travelled for the second time with Viatu. This time around we visited the Cape of Good Hope and did an extensive wine tour visiting sustainable wine farms. The accommodations recommended to us were hidden gems. We couldn't have found them on our own. We loved the down-to-earth vibe. We will be back for more soon.”

“We had an incredible journey with Viatu and many unforgettable memories in South Africa. The journey was tailor-made to our wishes and the communication with Alex really easy, friendly and helpful. All the informations were anytime accessible online, nicely presented and structured in an overview. “Our South Africa vacation managed by Viatu based on our request turned out perfect. All logistics and transfers worked seamlessly with local professional personnel. Rhino Ridge game resort situated within the Hluhluwe iMfolozi National Park really fulfilled our expectations in all aspects. Friendly staff, great food, nice bush villas with a great wiew of the wilderness. Our next stop, Sala Beach House really takes your breath away! Love the space and openness - the class - and then the proximity to this fascinating panoramic piece of dramatic shoreline. A beautiful location to just relax and unwind.”

“A big thank-you to the entire viatu team for enabling us this truly exceptional experience! Our Safari trip to central Serengeti was incredibly well organized. We stayed at the luxurious tented Dunia camp that offered access to breathtaking game-viewing areas. The Serengeti wildlife, the scenery and the sheer endless seeming horizons were absolutely mind-blowing! Our trip ended in the Ngorongoro conservation area where we descended the Ngorongoro crater from the Highlands Dunia camp on our second-last day. This felt no less than being in Jurassic Park in terms of the scenery, biodiversity, vast number of animals and richness of species. Our entire trip was overwhelming and made our enchanting memories last forever!”

“Ich bin unglaublich dankbar für dieses unvergessliche Abenteuer durch Namibia. Die Kombination aus Camping und Lodges war einfach perfekt und meine Reiseexpertin Alexeja hat dazu beigetragen, dass ich das Beste aus meiner Reise herausholen konnte. Sie war ein wandelndes Afrika-Lexikon und hat mich jederzeit unterstützt, wenn ich Fragen hatte. Ein spontanes Upgrade während der Reise war problemlos per WhatsApp buchbar und ich werde niemals vergessen, wie mich Alexeja zu meinem Geburtstag überrascht hat. Ich bin es gewohnt, meine Reisen selbst zu planen und zu buchen, aber nach dieser tollen Erfahrung mit Viatu würde ich es niemals wieder anders machen. Ich bin so dankbar für diese unvergessliche Reise und werde natürlich auch für meine kommende Botswana Reise mit Viatu buchen!”

“Ich habe mich für eine 5-wöchige Namibia-Reise mit Viatu entschieden und bin total begeistert von der endlosen Weite und der unglaublichen Tierwelt. Eines der absoluten Highlights war der Fish River Canyon. Die beeindruckende Landschaft und die Ruhe, die man dort empfinden kann, haben mich sehr bewegt. Besonders interessant fand ich auch die Geschichte des Landes und in der verlassenen Diamantenstadt habe ich gleich mal den Alarm ausgelöst! Eine weitere Überraschung war die Grootberg Lodge, die von der lokalen Gemeinde betrieben wird. Die Lodge bot nicht nur eine wunderbare Aussicht in das Bergtal, sondern auch eine einzigartige Möglichkeit, die Kultur und das Leben der lokalen Bevölkerung kennenzulernen. Die Safari im Etosha Nationalpark war auf jeden Fall auch ein riesen Highlight für mich. Die Weiten der Savanne, die unzähligen Antilopen und Zebras, aber auch die großen Raubkatzen wie Löwen und Geparden haben mich tief beeindruckt. Es war erstaunlich, so nah an diesen wilden Tieren sein zu können. Auch Meine Reiseberaterin, Alexeja, ist ausgebildeter Safari Guide und hat uns einen Guide für Selbstfahrer-Safaris und hilfreiche Tipps für den Etosha mitgegeben. Bei einem kleinen Problem während der Reise war sie nur eine WhatsApp Nachricht entfernt und konnte alles in kürzester Zeit lösen. Die Kommunikation mit ihr war stets offen und herzlich. Insgesamt war die Reise ein unvergessliches Erlebnis und ich würde Viatu jederzeit wieder empfehlen. Sie arbeiten mit nachhaltigen Partnern zusammen, kompensieren den CO2-Ausstoß und unterstützen die lokale Gemeinschaft, was ich besonders schätze. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut top! So macht Reisen wirklich Spaß - vielen Dank für alles!”

“We had an incredibile Safari experience with Viatu that made our honeymoon unforgettable. We didn't have to think about anything, they booked the whole trip, from airplanes, local transfers, accomodations, etc.. They booked us in some of the best camps of Serengeti and helped deciding on the timing: as a result we were able to see the migration! We would have not found these gems without their support. Bonus point: they run a very sustainable business and push tourists for conscious traveling. We had small surprises along the way that made our trip even more unique and enjoyable. 10/10”

“I spend one of my most exciting and beautiful holidays with Viatu in Namibia. From unforgettable game drives, lodges with stunnig locations, delicious food and an adventurous cycling trip through the desert we got the full package. Even with some minor inconvenience caused by the airline Viatu supported us and made sure our trip remains perfect. Knowing that our holidays were not only relaxing and exciting at the same time, but also that all the partners support the local community and work sustainable. Which in this time is equally important to me as the whole journey. Would definitely book again and recommend this kind of travel to anyone who is interested in a unique experience away from mainstream travel”
