“Seriously the worst service I have ever experienced in 40+ years both personally and in “plumbing business”!
Many months, many emails and phone calls trying to source some minor parts for one of their products (thermostatic shower). Apparently they do not supply the O rings (1000’s of different ones out there) which isolate the water flow but Impossible to and get any further information from them re alternative supplier or even to talk to them via phone/email or their automated system - absolutely impossible; when you do get to talk to someone (trade only) they can’t help/hang-up/promise a call back which never happens - again & again & again!!!! Unbelievable service and the shower is only just out of warrantee - don’t go there, it’s not worth the pain of trying to deal with this sort of provider - as with all things in life it is not when things are working that you learn more about Yourself/ Others/Life AND Companies it is when things are not working out and require “sorting” - you will be left high and dry by these Jokers! As is the owner of this shower as it is isolated to prevent continual flow of water!
The alternatives seem to be continue hunting around plumbing merchants for rings that cost a few pence or fit new cartridges at about £50 x 3 which it would appear is the cynical profiteering option Victoria Plumb recommend - oh and of course can provide!!!!
Charlatans!”
“I initially was very happy with my bath, sink and shower door. Checked everything was intact as recommended but when we had shower door fitted and removed the PROTECTIVE corners there was a chip in one of the corners. I contacted Victoria plum and emailed them a picture. They said they couldn't stand over it because I should have removed the protective corners when checking. I got a very rude member of staff. So basically if everything is OK they are a great company but if its not good luck in even getting through on the phone never mind anything else.”
“First of all the toilet suite we ordered never arrived, then a replacement arrived. Not checking as it was all sealed we opened a month later when ready to install to find that the toilet cistern has a chip out of it and a crack.”
“Bought an expensive (£160) shower Mixer in January 2021. Now nearly impossible to turn off and on, they say it's out of warranty and deny I registered for the "lifetime" warranty that was offered. AVOID!”
“Ordered most of my bathroom with Victoria Plumb and happy with most of products. The bath had a glittery outside which I want a fan of so arrange a return. Told by VP customer service to order another and they could do an exchange. That was 5 weeks ago and I have 2 baths and no date of when the 1st bath will be collected. It’s completely in the way as we are trying to get works done. Despite numerous conversations (over a very frustrating live chat function which takes ages to connect to someone) they cannot tell me when it will be collected. I keep getting fobbed off. About a week ago I was told someone was collecting, only for the collection person to call confused from Liverpool as they were at an address which knew nothing about it (I live in London). Now it seems I’m back to square one waiting for collection to be arranged again. Plus they will not reimburse my money until item collected. Shocking customer service, very inefficient company. Avoid!!!”
“Was awaiting my delivery this morning when I received an email saying that two items in it had been “missed.” These were a bathtub and a side panel. How incompetent does someone have to be to miss a bathtub from an order? They rearranged the delivery without speaking to me to a date when I wasn’t at home so I needed to get in touch. Email just gave a reply back saying I should get a response in 5 days and the offices were closed. I had no choice but to use their online chat but had to wait ages to speak to someone.
I now have to spend another morning waiting delivery, which is a rather big pain, but they won’t offer any compensation because they just don’t do that. Clearly not a reliable service and they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes. I won’t be ordering from them again.”
“Charged £35 for delivery and tried to charge another £25 because I did not make in time back home from work to reschedule a delivery. The sink is faulty and still had no reply”
“Purchase and delivery was up to expectation (hence the 2 stars). However, the support was horrendous. Wasted hours without getting anywhere. Not getting anything from them when I remodel my 2 bathrooms.”
“The customer service is a joke... why is there no telephone service??? The online chat is nearly always offline of if you’re lucky enough to get through you get cut off!!!
The fitting for my basin tap was missing and I can’t get hold of them!!!!
My daughter ordered from them also and her bath arrived damaged!”
“Ordered a cloakroom sink and vanity unit which was expensive. I was disappointed when the sink arrived smashed and the vanity unit door was also damaged delaying my plumbing project. After queuing for over an hour for customer services web chat they apologised and sent a replacement on next day delivery. A poor rating for badly packaged items leading to the damage and long wait times to arrange a replacement. Good quality product though and now looks good in my classroom.”
“Got vinyl floor delivered yesterday nice flooring but it is grey the picture on line is white now they say I have to pay nearly£50 to return I paid £20 for delivery it does not match my bathroom at all”
“Kind of my mistake, but something that nobody would notice: Recently, I have received a sink, I did a quick visual check, the box and sink looked OK, then I was waiting for a plumber to come along and install it and after 32 days, when the plumber arrived, tried to fit the sink in, he found it was broken almost in half. There was a crack that was not visible in a first go. After conversation with Victoria Plumbing support, instead of offering a fair-play solution, I got a discount of only 5%. I would accept 50%, but this is just a joke and I am going to spread this message everywhere I can, because I am not a satisfied customer, I just wasted £135 for nothing! It was broken maybe before it was packed or during the transport, but it is not my problem, I did treat the parcel very carefully, but the company was not or put their trust in an unreliable delivery company. It is always the same, you save £20 against local market, but then lost £135. Seriously, when I checked local stores I realized I will pay less for a better quality sink, if you wanna save some money and troubles stay away from this kind of companies.”
“Item arrived but no instructions on use of wall fittings. Was not plain or evident. Sent pictures and emailed but no response. Communication shockingly poor.
Rest if bathroom will be sourced elsewhere having read other reviews here.”
“Very good website and easy to order but not impressed as I wasn’t given the £10 first time order discount so not happy with that at all , just a con I’m afraid.”
“I ordered a complete bathroom set (shower, bath, basin and toilet). The plumber installing the bath found a screw did not fit with the bath waste as it was too short and there was no thread. I have called for the correct size screw to be sent, this has required two phone calls, two online chats and a referral to the tech team. I was told I would hear within 24 hours back from the tech team, however this time has exceeded. The fiasco over the screw has required pictures of the waste (why I don't know), which staff should know what it looks like. I have experienced an online chat with a very rude person. The first call I made, I somehow was cut off. I have wasted at least 3 hours trying to sort out a screw part replacement, which still remains unresolved. Follow up care is abysmal.”
