“This company has gone down hill in the past years. I recently placed an order.11/12/2024 to be shipped to my daughter’s house in LA California. Two days later I received an email asking me for information on this order. I sent them the information they were asking for the same day. They canceled my order two days later and said they never received the information. I called them when I noticed they credited my credit card as they never sent me an email to tell me they were canceling the order. I reordered my order over the phone and received a confirmation number. They said it would be shipped in 2 to 3 days. I reordered on a Monday and on Thursday I sent them an email asking when will the order be shipped. I never received a reply. On Friday I called them and they canceled my order again and they could not tell me why again, plus they never asked for information again or did they send me an email about canceling the order. I told the lady on the phone I would not be reordering this again with them and that I will write a bad review and report them to the Better Business. I have be using this computer for over 30 years and I never had this problem before. They have become a crappy company and I recommend no one to do business with them. I ordered the same supplements and soap from iherbs and the price is the same. It will arrive in 3 days also.”
“Vitacost changed carriers for shipping and OnTrac is unreliable, does not give good information on delivery changes and Vitacost customer service can not or does not help. If they quote a delivery date it will likely not happen.”
“I am a long time customers and place large orders throughout the year. I paid $30 for overnight shipping on a Friday morning. Customer service assured me I would have order by Saturday since I placed order before 1 pm. I did not receive order until Tue afternoon. When I called customer service to ask for return of $30 overnight shipping fee I was told order was delivered within their "time frame" and that it can take several days to pack shipment. Asked to speak with manager and was told none was available. Buyer Beware.”
“I have been their client for many years, and they always used to care both for their clients and how the product is packaged but something has recently changed. Over a month ago, I ordered a few packages of quite expensive chocolate for a birthday. They decided to send it in a bag. Needles to say that over $100 in chocolate melted and got broken. I contacted them, they weren’t willing to give the money back and said they’ll send me a label to send it back. Twice I followed up and nothing. Money and chocolate went down the drain. I do not recommend to deal with this company anymore, unless your willing to risk your money on online food that may get there deformed.”

“The customer Service at Vitacost has been declining over the last few years. I recently logged in to take advantage of a promotion and stack a couple of offers (they let you do that). I reached out and was told that I was unable to stack the promos - even though the product page suggested using both codes together (and I have screenshots showing this). They removed one of the promos from the product page, and refused to honor the deal - even though they made the mistake and falsely advertised that both could be used. So disappointed - it would have been an extra $10 off - curious if that was worth losing a customer over? No integrity on behalf of the organization.”
“I purchased 13 bottles of essential oils, 7 of Now brand essential oils (my go to brand) and 6 bottles of the Vitacost brand. The Now brand oils are fine because they weren't produced by Vitacost. Vitacost's bottles are totally inconsistent in volume (same size bottles); the difference in the amount of oil provided are easily noticed. Also, their bottles appear to have been sitting on the shelf for years, they're unclean and the labels on some are faded and have what seems to be glue or some other sticky substance going down the sides of a few of them. This was my first and last purchase from Vitacost, as they clearly do not have standards and do not keep quality in mind.”

“Years ago, this was a great company, but since then, steadily downhill. I placed an order with them which was supposedly damaged in transit and then the replacement order was also damaged in transit. How is it possible that both orders could be damaged in transit? And then they offer nothing to make it up. Just go ahead and place the order online again, seriously? A third time? Not to mention all the time wasted.”

The idiot driver put this package in my mailbox (against the law by the way a federal offense to touch my mailbox) then put the flag up to alert the thieves that I had something in my mail box. Then my mailman saw the flag up and tried to scan and mail the Vitacost package that he thought I was mailing. I almost lost my package had my grandson not stopped him from taking it and trying to mail it. Veho is not allowed by federal law to touch our mailboxes. “The company is going downhill!! Their webpage hasn't changed since Kroger bought in 2014- it is so cumbersome, slow, and ugly! The app isn't formatted for iPad. I can't sign-in because "my phone number doesn't match format", yet I receive text messages. Now, my email is invalid although I receive 2-3 emails a day from them!! Last time I order, I waited 10 days to get my shipment, and everything is thrown into a huge box, chips and cans together - most always damaged products! AND at least one lid is defective in every box. And I always seem to have a few items I cleared from my shopping cart that ended up being ordered anyway.
Come on, Vitacost / Kroger. You can do better!!!

“Vitacost used to be my favorite online store. I will no longer order from them. I tried to order some pet supplements and they sent items in place of the supplements that had nothing to do with what I ordered. When I tried to have them correct it they said they couldn’t and that I would have to reorder. I tried again and the same thing happened. They don’t even try to do the right thing.”
“I placed my first and last order with Vitacost. Never received the original order so requested replacement. Never received the second order. Over three weeks for them to respond only for then to tell it it was delivered. I requested a refund over 2 weeks ago and no response. I never have issues with deliveries from any other company I order from. Very disappointed with this company.”
“Multiple attempts at refund. Site won't allow me to find the order to do it myself. Three emails, 6 calls (in queue) no live person. Call back was 5 hours later late evening. No chat (only spirals). In past only use when there is a coupon. Even then, an unused coupon was deemed used. HORRIBLE!”

They packed 6 boxes of Crackers on the bottom of a huge box with 6 Large bottles of 32 oz MCT Oil on top of the crackers. All the crackers looked stomped ont the floor. One case of Luna bars was squished, but the other 3 cases were fine. No packing paper and placing the 6 heavy MCT Oils on top is insane. Where do I send pictures? I called and replacement is coming however they want pictures. I can't find where to upload pictures.”
