“Absolutely horrendous experience after being a customer for over 10 years. Took out a new contact including entertainment which I always choose Spotify as part of the package. I have had the same contact for years and just renewed it basically after my old one ended. Vodaphone never told me there was a deadline to sign up to Spotify after my old contract ended and when I came to transfer everything into my new phone and restart Spotify the link sent didn't
work. Cue an agonizing 2.5 hour phone call to try and sort it. No resolution but was told it would be fixed in 3-7 working days. Called to chase ... again cue another agonizing 3 hours on the phone with various different departments to be told that Vodaphone don't offer Spotify now, but that I should have access to it as my contract was signed before this arrangement ended. A technician then disconnected my entertainment and reinstalled it as part of trouble shooting and I was then told I couldn't get Spotify as my entertainment had been restarted after the arrangement had ended BECAUSE THE VODAPHONE GUY DISCONNECTED IT!!! Then began the horrifying decent into the complaints team...hours of calls and an offer of my contract being terminated free of charge and £10 good will. Absolute joke. Vodaphone can't fulfill their contractual obligation to me and I'm left paying for something I can't receive. Final resolution has been to remove entertainment from my plan and offer £100 towards Spotify. This doesn't cover the full cost, not compensate me for the hours of my time or acknowledge the fact Vodaphone have broken their contractual obligations. it's absolutely outrageous and has taken weeks of my time causing huge amounts of stress and frustration.avoid!!!!!!!!!!”
“Vodafone has been extremely misleading. They advertise good coverage in my area, but once I signed a contract, the service was very poor and almost non-existent. I tried canceling within the 14-day cooling-off period, but by the time they issued the PAC code, I had to go on a pre-planned holiday, and my line was moved over just five days after the cooling-off period ended. Now they're charging me £550 for a termination fee, despite my multiple explanations of the situation. Avoid these rip-off companies. Go with cheaper options that provide better service and respect their customers' rights. I'll be taking this to the ombudsman, but it's still a major inconvenience caused by Vodafone's deceit.”
“A complete lack of communication from Vodafone's side when upgrading ny device. There has been no communication from them as to where and when to collect my phone or how long it would take, even though when doing the upgrade they stated pick up the next day. When I phoned to find out if it is there they stated that it will only be there three days later and can be picked up during hours that I am at work, hence the need for next day pick up. So now I have to wait 8 days due to lack of clarity while upgrading and lack of transparency from Vodafone's side.”
“Terrible company! I had a mobile broadband dongle for my laptop that I was not using anymore, I called to cancel the contract and was told by customer services that it had been cancelled. Then, about 6 months later I got a debt recovery letter through the post for £158 as they had not cancelled the policy.
I tried to complain but they refused to cancel the debt. I paid the £158 and asked for the contract to be cancelled. A month later I get another £40 bill and find the account is still active. This is now my 3rd attempt at getting the account cancelled and no one is customer service has a clue what is going on.
This company will continue you charging you for months after you have asked to cancel a policy and when you call customer service you will speak to an Indian person with broken English who doesn't have one clue what is happening.
They will pass you to about 5 different departments all to speak to Indian people who have no clue what is happening or how to solve the problem. If you ask to speak to a manger you will be refused and told no mangers are there.
I am now making a 3rd attempt to get this policy cancelled and fully expect I'll get more bills for months to come, despite been over the contract period.
They essentially just keep charging you full price for months after ending a contract.
Its cost me £200 so far and its still active.”
“I have bee trying for years to get my wife's name on her account, but you people insist it is my account. You even answer my queries to my wife. I do not have access to her phone. My phone, this phone is with EE”
“They will scam you by putting stipulations in small print. It is not a matter of if they scam you it is matter of when they do it and you just have to accept it as it is legally binding. No one has time to read a 10 page contract with many rules in tiny writing and they will abuse this.”
“Just cancelled my mobile sim only deal with Vodafone far better deals with others .they we're not interested in offering me a good deal on the phone so I left .”
“Worst customer service. Greedy and rubbish company.Talked to a person named shabnum. Completely non cooperative and rude. I will never use this service again.”
“Lying ,deceitful ,dishonest company. Far too much to write here. Please everyone be aware. The worst company I have dealt with and not due them a penny but they have me as a bad risk on credit score. Previous to this my credit score was 100%, now on my score for 6 years 🤷♂️😡”
“horerndous customer service, poorly designed processes and website. even if connection is good, it's such a rubbish company and it does not deserve my money”
“I am extremely disappointed with Vodafone's service. I had a broadband contract with them in 2022. After moving houses and the contract ending, I discovered unauthorized charges on my bank account despite having fully settled my dues. There was no communication or notification about these charges.
When I contacted customer support to resolve the issue, they refused to help because I couldn't remember a security question. This lack of assistance and poor customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend Vodafone to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy service.”
“Travelled into Vodafone Glasgow Buchanan Street to try to sort out an issue with mums phone contact with Vodafone...she is at present in hospital. Its a new contract & phone but her Internet data has run out at a tremendous rate she now received messages from Vodafone asking her to take on more data.
She is 83yrs of age does a little bit of Facebook...no YouTube etc.
I went into Vodafone Glasgow Buchanan Street store to ask for help with the issue as mums in hospital only to be met by an obnoxious staff member...a nasty female constantly telling me mum would have to get out of hospital and get into the Vodafone store to sort it out. We both have been customers of Vodafone for 30 hrs but we'll be cancelling both contracts and find a supplier who actually cares about their customers...shocking company!!!!”
