“The Primo is wonderful. Sounds great both using the built in DAC and using a good separate ESB DAC. Big, huge detailed soundstage. And the folks at Volumio offer terrific support. When there was an error in the power brick connector, they made it right in one day, helping me get an even better power supply. The only issue I have is that occasionally my IPhone app will not find the unit, and if you power it down it may take a few minutes to regain all you songs and music services. Regarding the Iphone app issue, all I do is go to the Web page and that always seems to fix it. Thanks so much for a great product and terrific service. It's all about the music!”

“I was looking for a device that I could use to listen to spotify on my amplifier at home without having to plug my laptop or phone (nevermind the poor quality of their audio output). But all that I was finding was quite costly. Eventually I came across Volumio on a forum, and already having laying around a 1st generation Paspberry Pi B, it was just a question of installing Volumio and try it out. It's amazing, I connected my old mp3 and vorbis collection which I hadn't listen in quite sometime. The app is also very practical and convenient. I've just bought a DAC for the raspeberry pi, and I'm eager for it's arrival.”

“I love music and tech and wanted to upgrade my streaming from Spotifys 320kbps. There a number of very good but costly streaming devices available, but all were out of my price point. I therefore purchased after much research a rasp pi device with DAC hat,loaded Volumio on sd card and WOW,what a difference. Volumio has Tidal and Qobuz(my choice) integration and very nice UI makes Volumio an easy and very cost effective way to stream music on any number of devices. It supports a large community with technical back-up and you can even attend a free web chat as I did with them to give you an initial idea before committing yourself.”

“Easy friendly user interface and system easy to use. I installed Volumio on a very old netbook with a old USB sound card and connected (both unused) with my NAS and I enjoy all my music on my stereo system practically a cost zero. Fantastic.”

“I had problems getting my primo to work. (USA) Davide in support was very helpful and patient. I am not the most tech savvy person. There were difficulties with the audio during our online meeting but he was patient and he got my issues solved. Overall, I am like my primo and believe the audio quality is better than the bluesound node it replaced. Thanks Davide!”

“stumbled upon volumio by accident.... looking for a 'project' and when I saw that I could connect to my flac and mp3 music to my stereo by using a DAC.... I was in. There was some info about connecting an inexpensive DAC to the pi - but it IS out there... but limited info and some on the web and Youtube. When you get it working... it is great!”

“Volumio is a fantastic application to build a digital jukebox. Even linux newbies can manage music, radios and streaming platforms effortlessly. My raspberry PI2b is working smoothly even during music file transfers from my computer to its SSD. I'm waiting for a ES9038Q2M DAC to have a real HiFi experience, but sound from headphone plug connected to my HiFi is already great. Smartphone as a remote command is tremendous: low cost and efficient. Just great! What's missing on volumio? Not to be distro but an app instalable on any linux platform. On my Orange Pi PC+, Wifi, sound from phone jack and eMMC are disable.”

“Easy to set up and not expensive, I have a vintage “ all- in one” Bang & Olufsen Century of exceptional sound quality but dating from 1992. Enter Raspberry Pi 3b+ with a with a Hifiberry DAC+pro (total cost 75GBP) and I’ve got TIDAL streaming in all it’s glory! Absolutely WONDERFUL!!”
