“I am having so much fun with my new Volumio Primo. The sound is stunning using Qobuz playing through external dac. It sounds equal or better then my 5000€ cd player! It just performs and all the software runs smoothly without any problems at all. 5 stars all the way!”

“i run volimio on a RaspPi 3B+ to which i hooked up a HifiBerry Amp2 ... connected to my self-crafted 2-Way BassReflex Visaton speakers ... the sound is amazing! ... i like it very much ... i control it from my main pc when i sit @ my desktop ... but sometimes i also control it from my smartphone (android driven) i.e. when i'm in the bathroom or just chilling on my couch ... i've put a 64GB USB-Stick (very tiny form factor) in one of the 4 USB-ports for storing my music ... and i configured a samba-server via ssh on the rasp to get easily access to the stick from my pc ... working fine ... i also enjoy the capability for hearing internetradio ... may be i upgrade to MyVolumio in the future ... you volumio people did and do a very great work!”

“Dear Volumio team, I'm writing now after ca one month of using Primo and volumio on a raspberry for the second installation. Primo is really excellent sound as good as my separate DAC (ca 1.200 € same Sabre 9038) and allow me to enjoy all my liquid library also with DSD files. I'm also playng it with the external DAC with again excellent results. Volumio on raspberry works also very good. Both work with the APP (android)”

“I am running Volumio on a Rasperry Pi with a Hifiberry Digi+ connected to my Dynaudio Xeo active speaker. A very slim setup with great sound. I like the easy installation and the stable operation of Volumio. I am looking forward to new features, e.g. Tidal connect!”

“It was very slow on a Raspberry Pi 3-B. The network connection between a browser and Volumio would constantly lock up. Volumio would freeze and not respond to anything from the touchscreen. My 7” Raspberry Pi touchscreen would turn off and not come back up without a restart. Too finicky to use with any reliability or enjoyment.”

“Although old and chabby the Klipschhorns enjoy to be involved within the DAC of Volumio. Good sound - good mood. Italy's best job since Leonardo da Vinci! Caruso would turn around in his grave and listen the brilliant coming out. Carry on!”

“Ich nutze das Tinker Board S mit VOLUMIO FREE ausschließlich als "Digital Drive" mit Festplatte, angesteuert über einen USB-Hub von "Exsys". Das digitale Signal wird an 2 in Reihe geschaltete "MUTEC MC3+ USB" weitergereicht, die dann den DAC "BURL Bomber" versorgen. Das Ergebnis ist atemberaubend. Mein zuvor benutzter Musik Server der 7000€ Klasse kann einpacken!!!”

“Il y a peu d'avis francophone alors j'y vais. Volumio est le produit que je cherchais qui permet de créer sa médiathèque en local ou sur un NAS. Très intuitif, il permet d'écouter ses fichiers dans de nombreux formats et aussi les radios du Web que l'on peut soi-même ajouter, ça c'est très bien. Mise à part quelques petites bizarreries, l'interface est très bien faite et la distribution est parfaitement stable.”

“Volumio allows you to reuse old but good hifi amps and speakers so you don’t have to buy new! Not having Bluetooth connectivity is a real pain, even my car offers that! I understand a Subscription model is needed but only supporting other subscription content services and not offering access itself is a bit bonkers? The streaming radios and access to USB devices is great but there is no content management. Great interface though, looking forward to more plugins!”

“Both web apis are partly broken(socket & rest), which greatly affects the ability of building your own client to control volumio device. Does not work with Bluetooth low energy remote controller(consumer control usage table). Besides the drawbacks mentioned above, i do think it's great product overall”
