Really nice product and support for hardware. I like the integration with DLNA/DLNA and Tidal and Qobuz. The extra functionality with myvolumio is underappreciated and I did not entirely understand the ability to securly remotely connect via Https until recently. Myvolumio is a good alternative to Roon for those who do not want to spend that much $$.

It is quite easy to install, has a nice surface and, most important: It sounds phenomenal! The possibility to connect it to a computer-screen and a mouse (or a Trackball) via USB makes it even more responsive, although the browser-surface is good as well. Why only 4 stars then? Because there are some issues though: connected to a quite large library (~620GB) it really takes some time to create the directory (about 1,5 days) and it still doesń´t show all the music on my NAS (the directory ends at "E"...). Further on, some of the menu-functions are neither explained, nor self-explaining....

Initial parameterisation is not difficult, but it is also not linear. The IOS App on my iPhone is easy to use and bug-free, better than via browser. I have doubts whether it reproduces above 44.1 MHz, namely MQA, because when using TIDAL, supposedly so-called Master recordings, it keeps the record as if it were a CD (but that's also good). In summary, it's a good solution to use with a streaming service.

The installation is quick and easy, the software is very good apart from a few small things and the sound quality is excellent.

I've been using Volumio for a couple of week (with the MyVolumio free trial, for access to Tidal and CD Ripping) and I really like it. I also tested out RopieeXL, MoodeAudio and DietPi (with a selection of audio plugins) and for my needs Volumio was the tand out winner. I bought a Apple Superdrive to connect to my RasPi (with DigiOne Signature HAT) and it works a treat for ripping (albeit that I needed to add a Y cable to add power to the USB but then I'm already powering a Samsung SSD from my RasPi. The only annoyance is the lack of an A-Z quick nav on the Album and Artist screens - this is common to other apps (including Plex) and is such a simple but wouldbe am incredibly handy UX improvement - hence the 4 out of 5 :)

Great functionality and sound! I enjoy it every day! Only thing missing I can think of is xlr output.

New in the pi streamer family. So far so good. Stable and easy to configure / use with a Mytek DAC.

Semplice, immediato, gestibile da qualunque dispositivo, suono meraviglioso. Cosa chiedere di più???

Very flaky UI. Regularly need to refresh or reboot. Often the wrong track will play or not at all. Also, you can only see Tidal master albums when you search by artist, if you search by album you can't tell what version it is. Running on a Pi and Volumio can't see my external drive. I haven't had this problem with other Linux OS.

Some YT videos, f.e. from John Darko, made me curious about the streaming possiblities with the RPi. My first touch with this little monster. My main interest ist Vinyl...and I think it will be so for the rest of my life. But, to be honest, streaming has taken more and more evidence for me. So, I bought a RPi 4, a small case, set up the Volumio Software, a Topping D10s and connected it RCA to my Marantz Integrated Amp. And: I love it! There is quite less difference to my Node2i than expected. Good staff. Greetings from Dusseldorf/Germany. And sorry for my English...

I am a newcommer to the Pi family, so had problems during installation. But after me grandchildren solved my problems it works great. Missing the ability to use youtube, but I guess you can't have them all. Excellent product.

So far, so good. I've been pleased how easy it was to install and get it running. Tidal and Spotify wiew and use could be better, though.

Great software that does what it says without issues. I have it installed on RPi4 and after initial install boots easily from WiFi (which fails with most other OS). I now use as a portable player using a chargeable battery pack and my USB DAC (AUDIOQUEST Cobalt) - gives my Chord Mojo/POly setup a real run for the money. ON Ethernet and with HiFiBerry DAC 2HD the sound is slightly different to the HiFiBerry OS - but can’t say better / worse (though ~I prefer the HiFI Berry OS). IN short brilliant, stable and fun interface (even stable on WiFi)
