Unfortunately do not play DSD to my Pioneer N-70AE and not recognize it as MQA renderer.

Nifty piece of software for my Raspberry Pi. I used Tidal Connect with MyVolumio for a few days. The audio quality was an improvement. However, with my Dac, the IFi Zen, the LED color on the IFi Zen would not turn magenta, and hence I was not getting Mqa, as Volumio on the RPi does not do the first unfolding of Mqa (which a Windows laptop does). I did write to iFi regarding this, and they said the same thing. I hope MQA can be implemented on a paid version of Volumio in the near future. I do feel the MQA recordings sound better via a laptop and then to my Dac.

Voluimo is packed full of features with additional plugins to help customize your build. The web UI is easy to use my much the same as using a 7" touch screen. I love music and I wanted to have something with more than a normal hifi with great sound and easy to use with a raspberry pi 4.

It seems like a very nice piece of software and generally performs well. However I cannot get Qobuz to work properly. Each track plays for only 30 seconds then moves on to the next track.

My computer crasht and I have to reinstall the whole program as that I have some troubles with install the program, because it stay as not installed. So some settings are wrong. You cannot install direct as an operating systen the program and it's necessary to have a server operating system for install. So the proam or software developers have to do a better job or work on it.

Volumio is by far the best solution out there at this price point, I would even go forward and say that it is a couple of features shy of competing with the likes of ROON. - it needs a little spit and polish on the existing UX and it's content aggregation features. It also needs a one time version based license business model in addition to subscription even if the subscription model is very affordable. That being said I am very happy with this solution, so much so that I'm thinking of joining the team to further it's development.

Tried Volumio when problems with Roon were driving me to look elsewhere. Did the trial thing for a few days, and then dropped back to the free plan. Loading the software onto my quartet of PI4's with their HiFiBerry Dac2Pro hats was not as simple as I might have wished... but I did eventually get it up and running. Unfortunately, I had no luck getting multi-zone simultaneous playback from Tidal, which is the main reason for me to have a computer network audio system. Went back to Roon... switched my problematic Linux based server out for a Mock (Rock on unsupported hardware) solution, and haven't had a problem since. If multi-zone simultaneous playback is _not_ on your list of must haves, this might be the right solution for you. Didn't work for me, though.

hello, i have a big problem with Volumio. I have to set the amplifier level to 90/100, before the 55/100 level was enough for comfortable listening. How to fix this problem ? Thank you

Volumio graphic user interface is the best among others. I installed it on x86 platform. Never tried it on Raspberry PI. My experiences on this installation is bad. Volumio was runninhlg smooth right after installation and configuration. But if I shut down the system and boot up later. 7 out of 10 it will freeze. Sometimes it is fine. I installed it on SSD. I do think it's the hardware compatibility problems. Volumio need to look into it and fix this as many of us have some old pc hardware lying idle at home and best to install Volumio to convert these old junk into a modern music streamer.

I love the community and I find that even the free experience is very good. I set the device up using the raspberry pi directly and then later added a HAT DAC, fully expecting to have to struggle to change the settings. To my surprise, the settings updated automatically and I got to enjoy the great sound right away! I find the experience on my iPad to be a lot more reliable than on my android app, where I do encounter some bugs.

I really love volumio because it's easy to setup, use, and it's free (unless you want advanced features). I really like that it works with wifi, since most raspberry pi software needs a hardwire connection. My favorite part is that it works from my phone, and home assistant. One thing I wish would be looked at is the web radio section. Some of the stations in my area I like aren't available, and some dont work and give me an error when I try to play. I also wish there was an i heart radio plugin. Now I'm not sure if this is a volumio problem or a me problem, but I can't upload files from my computer because the wifi hotspot doesn't show up on my computer. This makes it difficult since I need to always have a usb stick in the pi with music on it. And my usb stick covers the other 3 usb ports, so I can't plug in my sound blaster play 3. So I have to use the not as good audio from the 3.5 mm audio jack. But other than that, it is really great software. I would love it though if there was a way to add volumio on the same pi as my home assistant pi!
