I have a series of Raspberry PIs that perform a variety of functions. I previously tried a variety of approaches to use a PI as input to a Sonos system without much luck. I then found Volumio and it works like a charm. I strongly recommend Volumio and odd as this may sound - it seems only fair to pay the small subscription fee for the excellent product and support.

Works perfect and fast with rpi3 + hifiberry dac. Use own collection and Spotify. Thanks.

I'm using Volumio as Internetradio and Spotify Connect on a Raspi 2 with HifiBerry DAC for more than one year. I tried several players but Volumio convinced with stable software. I like Volumio and I recommend it. :-)

Pair your Pi with a great DAC and you get great sound with a dead quiet background. Easy setup and a nice interface.

Simple download and set up process … clear set up instructions meant I was up and running with a Pi Zero W 2 in no time. I also added an audio hat which was instantly recognised and working. The inclusion of plugins to add further functionality just increases the usefulness and although some are paid for, after using the software for I week, I think I will be supporting this project and going for the subscription based option to get the tidal integration.

Absolutely stellar. Running Volumio on a Pi4 with a 7-inch touch screen rather than using an Amazon Alexa or other questionable internet connected microphone. Works fantastically and turns any speaker into a smart speaker. Couldn't be happier with it.

The support is pretty good. They helped fixing an issue with the Primo very fast and competent.

Had to use Volumio's support today but all issues were resolved perfectly. I love Volumio and for me the Primo is the best streamer. Thank you very much

I have used Volumio for some time. Version 3 is great. Customer service is outstanding, they respond quickly with good answers. UI is superb. An amazing system for the price.

Built my first network streamer with touch screen, based off a Raspberry Pi. Everything tuned out great, and I used Volumio to drive everything. Best music streaming program period.

I use a RPI 3b+ and an IQaudio dac+ which sounds brilliant through my 100w 2.1 amplifier. I use a USB hub which i can access my mp3's mp4's without any problem whatsoever.

I use Volumio in Roon bridge mode only and it works perfectly fine with 3 different endpoints (2* HifiBerry DAC, 1 Audiophonics 2 ESS 9038 Q2M DAC). Happy that I found this solution

RBpi3 + reclocker Allo Kali + Allo Piano 2.1 Very fast application. Quick setup - unfortunately I have a network problem here and am waiting for the networker to arrive. So far I'm going through "media servers" which has a number of limitations (bad search, sorting songs from the album alphabetically and not in order). For network troubleshooting, I've noticed that Volumio does write down the apparent cause of the problem, but I'm not sure it identifies it correctly, plus it flashes it at me very quickly. However, these are network problems - not Volumio. Any chance of an improvement ? Yes the ability to edit skins + if I'm controlling on PC I would welcome when I press the back button on the mouse and am in the "board" so if the page would return to the directory structure. The only problem I can identify is when I am in a directory that has lots of subfolders, and say 5 music files and I want to drop one of them - - it drops something completely different. But it's a marginal problem that can be easily solved by the user. Rating - I've tried Moode player as well, but Volumio clearly leads the pack for me. A great and fast network player controllable both via pc and mobile/tablet. Thanks

Wonderful free version application.I use it with RASP PI3b and PI4, dac ES9032Q (audiophonics and Khadas implementation).Works fine with vol2 or vol3 ,but initial sound takes 1 min with vol2 and 1 1/2 min with vol3 .Also access to plugins its simpler in vol2. So I use vol2 . Thanks a lot, great work.

I have Installed Volumio 3 with Rasberry 4 with external DAC. Mainly I am using Tidal and my local DSD files. Everything works fine. Just to add, I do have client membership also with Bandcamp with many albums that I have purchased in past. Wondering, if Volumio development team could or has any plan to provide Bandcamp client registered members a user access?
