Lack of complete instructions and troubleshooting is beyond frustrating. For example, I have two raspberry pi devices. I finally got them to show up in My Volumio (don't ask me how) but only one works. Can't get the other to play music and I can't find guidance anywhere (not trying to play them at the same time, just switch back and forth). Tired of searching endlessly down the internet black hole. I just want to listen to high quality music for a reasonable price and I don't want to become a tech nerd to do so. Given on how buggy other users are reporting I'm just about ready to ditch the whole effort and either buy a server that just works (more expensive) or ditch streaming entirely because even Tidal through the device that does work (Orchard Audio PecanPi) doesn't sound any better than my Bluesound Node2 and both are substandard as compared to CD's and vinyl.

The app app is the worst app, i have ever used. Too slow everytime, it doesnt matter, what you are using from it. And very often i have to rebute the system. I am very angry about using the app. About the sound from the device...andplut top, and this is the One and only reason, that i dont sell it again.

Volumio 2x had much better sound quality. Developers refuse to acknowledge that fact that Volumio 3x was a step down in the SQ department. Its open source software so they can do what they want, but with the new update they also jacked up the price of My Volumio to $70 a year. Complained in the forum and they cut out my tongue. Left a sour taste on my mouth.

Tried serveral installations. Volumio does have a nice interface, easy to use bleuthoot en an nice app for jour phone. But every 2 day's i need te reeboot the Pi4 becouse after a number of connections, the app wont connect anymore. very anoying. set volumio to reboot twice a day, but after 4 to 8 connections ( from 2 phones ) , it would't accept any connection more. so i ended our volumio tour. maybe in a while, if things has been fixed. because it did what it had to do, with a nice interface and app.

i have tried it but went back to picorplayer and max2play thought it was way too expensive compared to others.

Since Version 3 almost all features for using GPIO and Bluetooth stream are gone and I’d have to pay 6£ per month to use them. I used Volumio on my Self built music box, but since that, I’m looking for alternatives. Dont get me wrong: I’d be happy to pay once for a software that’s good, but I wont pay 72£ a year just to use the same options as in Version 2.x

The sound quality is good with a Raspberry Pi and an Audiophonics DAC and a Galaxy S9 phone but the I use it to play TIDAL and the Volumio "skin" is terribly unfriendly and clunky and frustrating. I just want the TIDAL "skin" which is MUCH easier to use. As soon as I can I will try something other than Volumio.

Lack of support when reporting bugs through the forums. CD ripping doesn’t function as described. Fails to refresh CD data when new disk inserted.

I‘m running Volumio on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Hifiberry on top. Ever since that major update last year there are more bugs than music. Freezing interface, loosing connection, interrupting stream, you name it.

Seems good, except via Tidal connect: first song via Tidal Android App never works, had to press next and back, then it can either play it or disapears from Tidal connect device list ...

Easy to set up but I had problems with my playlist and tried my best to resolve unsuccessfully Volumio could not sort the problem and support service was inadequate

Not buster/bullseye, Not stable, It is not maintained. Development is also very slow.

Chose Volumio to stream Tidal via portable DAC. The instability of the current Volumio release for Raspberry Pi 4B is a complete disappointment. Recognition of usb connected Astell&Kern AK70mkii in DAC mode is a 50-50 percent chance with no apparent logic after each listening session. I’d not recommend this Volumio release to anyone. Feedback on the Volumio forum hints at a release issue, so I’ll wait for a new release to give it one more try. If not successful, Volumio will have lost (another?) client for good.

This is about Volumio Primo. HDMI not working for all of my monitors! Music Library impossible for > 10000 titles on local media.Network configuration is simply said STRANGE (WIFI - LAN what needs to be restarted?) Internet access is needed sometimes for both of Android apps. Performance is too low, Tidal integration is a joke. Result - Hope somebody is as stupid as me to spend such a lot of money for nothing.

There is no tidal and quobuz showing in the app. Also library layout is not so good.

Using a Rpi4 only the headphone out works. USBs all work for video, keyboard, mouse but not for audio. Added a Hifiberry digi pro2 HAT but again no audio out. Yes I removed the headphone jack before trying the other audio outs. I only subscribed thinking it would unblock the audio. Wishful thinking though. Subscription cancelled
