“It works pretty well and is stable an my Pi3 sending I2S to a DDDAC. What hurts, is that streaming MQA Masters from Tidal doesn't work and these are resampled to 48kHz. I'm checking for updates daily...”

“Sono particolarmente soddisfatto del mio acquisto, il dispositivo a mio avviso ha un rapporto qualità prezzo lodevole, tuttavia ci sarebbero un paio di modifiche che a mio parere dovreste apportare: Dal punto di vista Hardware vi consiglio di inserire un tasto fisico, lasciare il dispositivo sempre acceso o staccare la spina ogni volta non è per niente carino, inoltre inserirei sul fronte del dispositivo un piccolo led, magari poco luminoso, che dimostri la sua accensione. In ultimo le istruzioni è tutta la documentazione a corredo la amplierei inserendo più lingue, compreso l'italiano.... saluti”

“Overall, Volumio works well. I am using with a raspberry III box and output audio to an audio engine usb dac. I only put 4 stars because I bought it for the Qobuz plugin and I think Qobuz integration could be better. For example, it is not possible to filter albums by music genre nor to sort it by albums or artists names as it is possible with other players. I hope this will come soon.”

“I use Volumio mainly to play my local files, stored on a USB stick, and I use my USB DAC. It reproduces everything I throw at it, from mp3 to DSD256 files, with the highest quality of reproduction possible, in this department 5 Stars. I am running it on an Asus Tinkerboard. What really annoys me with Volumio is that most of the times it is not reachable on the local network, on the fixed IP address I have reserved to it (192.168.2.98), both by using a browser, or the Volumio App on Android. I am always forced to use MyVolumio and access my Volumio Box from an external webserver... This is stupid. Moreover as of today also this route does not work anymore, my Volumio box does not connect to the network altogether. I will be forced to download it again and to flash again the SD card (I have done it 5 times in year so far), because of course also the fallback hotspot that should start when it is not capable to connect to a network, is not starting. So I am left without control over the volumio box. All my respect for the Volumio Team, but please get your act together. Many times this year I have I have opted for popping in a CD instead of playing the corresponding files from Volumio, because I could not access it in a timely fashion (or like today, that I completely lost it).”

“Works okay as a headless raspberry pi. But much is still to be desired. I miss the ability to use my TV as user interface. There is a Volumio plugin that enables displaying a user interface on an external monitor (eg. TV), but it doesn't enable control from the TVs remote (HDMI-CEC). And this plugin doesn't work with my raspberry pi 3b+ either. Therefore I have changed back to using Kodi (OSMC). Kodi is not perfect, but Kodi is better when the TV and Stereo set is placed close to each other. Volumio is okay'ish and has potential to be great.. But as it is now it feels like a halfbaked product.. (dec 2020).”

“Perfect media streamer, sounds very well, easy to use, small and very nice. Perfect setup. I use it on an Pass INT 60 and Bower&Wilkins 804D3 One point could be better. I miss an LED for power on/off status and searching for songs in Quboz isn‘t perfect !!! Thats the reason for only 4 stars.”

“Using Volumio on various (Raspberry Pi + Justboom amp hat or dac hat) systems to use and share music, in mostly .flac format, from my nas drives. The flexibility and ease of use is first class. Whether engaging through PC or Android the output quality is easily a match for my home hi-fi systems. (Naim pre and power, Arcam Cd, or Marantz CD Audolab Amp) Amazing range of plugins and options. Writing this while listening to Paradise Radio melo mix at 1.30 am via Raspberry Pi 3 - amp hat and Morduant Short M10 speakers. Fleetwood Max - Albatross. Going to bed happy and chilled... Nope Lyle Lovett just came on.. I'll stay awhile...ah now Jerry Garcia...”

“i’m sorry to say but my first impression after initial setup of voluminous primo hifi edition was not very positive. software unstable, slow and unpredictable connection switching to and from spotify. overall user interface and experience a little frustrating. but meaby this is nog the streamer for me. to be honest i switched to bluesound. it just works and i like having the few controls on the unit. just to turn music of or on without looking for my phone.”
