“I have been recently using Volumio with a Raspberry Pi 3 and external USB DAC. The application is working perfectly fine, is easy to navigate and absolutely problem free. The sound quality is amazing or at least equivalent with a proper hi end streamer. I am currently considering to set a Pi 4 with Volumio to my main listening hi end system as a source. Das klangliche Ergebnis ist einfach unglaublich, speziell die Master Files von Tidal und DSD Files erzeugen ein unglaubliches Klangbild. Für die Bedienung von Tidal würde ich mir noch einige erweiterte Funktionen wünschen, klanglich ist das Angebot jedoch TOP.”

“I have installed Volumio on a Raspberry PI 4, 2GB Ram, dedicated exclusively and connected to a USB DAC. The result is absolutely amazing: extraordinary sound quality, equal to or better than other high-cost sources in the same installation. 384khz audio in DSD over PCM. Not a noise, not a click, not a jump ... Absolute silence when the music is not playing. Better than or equal to any other streamer I've tried. Use without problems associated with a local music server, or playing Qobuz or Tidal from an Android program (ideal with Bubble UPnP). Issue to improve: the playback of Qobuz or Tidal managed from Volumio has not worked well for me, the tracks are cut at mid-playback. But both Qobuz and Tidal work well managed from Bubble, so I keep the 5 stars. Congratulations!”

“Volumio installation and starting the raspi with no problems. But I tried to run it with an old raspi and a wolfson audio card and the sound failed to play, only hashed play of files. Sorry I de-installed volumio. May be I give Volumio later a try with a newer raspi.”

“As you can see from the 5 stars I have awarded, I like this little black box a lot. I received it, initiated it, connected a little HDD and installed the Spotify connect app, connected an USB cable to my Quad Vena ii receiver and had it all up and running within no time. Sound is great. I manage the device, alternatively, from an Android app, Samsung the Frame TV or from a browser. My only complaint is that the UI is a bit ugly but I will not withdraw a star due to that 🧐🙂. There was a delay in the delivery but I was given continuous and full attention on the issue by customer support.”

“Volumio is a simple interface to play the music. Has however the right tools to sort and find your music. I come from audirvana. What also very enjoyable is: the possibility to use internet radio. This was not possible in Audirvana! Had some trouble in the beginning to be able to use our NAS (Synology), but after some reading found the clou: vers=2.0. So it would be convenient when this was sorted out before hand. Another problem I’m experiencing is that despite many attempts I was not able to get the Spotify plugins up and running. But all in all, Volumio is a very good program. Cograts to you all!”
