“Volumio user for a bit more than 2 months now. Running my Raspi with a DAC on top, Volumio to control it. Works great, even with my Tidal account. Would be great to have the ability of shortcutting things, like Tidal Mixes, so I can select them from the front without the need to dig deeper. But this is the luxury part ....”

“I was using Volumio on a Raspberry Pi and was very happy with it. Worked great for a long time - until a flash in a thunderstorm killed my Raspi. Sad Easy to use, stable, loved it. Now I'm thinking about buying a product, it seams to me this is a sympa company going the good way! Italy, nice”

“Been a user of Volumio for 5 years. I have a super nice hifi setup in my living room and was stuck on how to stream this setup to other rooms without investing loads of additional cash on some proprietary hardware. I had a couple of Raspberry Pi’s hanging around and started there. Now I have 6 pi’s around the house, playing in unison or each on their own. I can even stream vinyl and tape home wide. My R2R doesn’t have to be relocated to my patio now :) proud subscriber of premium. Totally with it it my book!!!”

“I used volumio os on an allo DigiOne device (based on the raspberry pi), for a couple years. I mostly used it to access my music collection from my NAS. To that end, it worked perfectly and the sound quality was top notch. I was very satisfied and I'll soon get a volumio primo+ from this company, as an upgrade that should make me happy. I don't give the five stars because sometimes I had to restart the pi after it crashed, but that was only every one in a while and not a big issue.”

“A have my Rivo MK2 changed with the Rivo+. So far a higher step in streaming music! All for a exeptable price! Only the start-up from full power off to full running is sometimes with problems? Restart the device is the solution for this problem. Hopefully a software upgrade solves this problem?”

“Volumio has really poor playlist editing abilities. It's extremely cumbersome to change a playlist while it's running (such as permuting the order of pieces), copy-paste between playlists, or keep the playlist saved for re-use at all times. To add these features would be fairly simple, but the developers apparently do not consider it a priority. That's a shame because Volumio has otherwise a lot of promise.”

“Volumio is a super nice free music streaming platform. I installed it into my Raspberry Pi 3. I did have some stumbles—my first install had Linux permissions errors. So I had to wipe it and set it up again. But when I got it set up correctly I found it to have a smooth and intuitive UI. I use it with Spotify premium (there is a Spotify plugin that makes this easy), and Apple Music (which I send to Volumio with AirPlay). I also like the fact that this software formats the digital stream for my hardware pipeline: I use an Allo DigiOne on the RASPI, and then a standalone SMSL DAC, which in turn sends an analog signal to my amp. This all works beautifully and sounds awesome. Thanks to Volumio for making it easy.”
