Communication is very poor. My parcel took ages to be delivered, I emailed the company and they did not respond. Luckily the package was delivered in this time but I would have hoped that they would respond to my email asking where my order was rather than just ignoring it! I love the products but I am not sure about the service.

I had to go over it with some scissors when it arrived because there were lots of loose thread still from where it was hand sewn. That bit was ok, just a shame the lose ends weren’t tidied up before it was dispatched. Not sure I’d recommend to a friend.

I ordered a candle set as a gift for a friend but sadly it only got sent after a week, and only after I chased it.

I’ve never been able to fathom why it is that no one has my correct email address and hence I can’t change my password but yet I receive a promotional email from Wearth. There’s a block in comme somewhere. I stopped using you ages ago

Products look great and really appear to be more sustainable and better for the planet. However, Wearth customer service is bad/nonexistent. I am still waiting on information on my order from 3 weeks ago, which I was told I'd receive within 5 working days. No products, no contact from Wearth, despite numerous emails. I'll happily change my rating if the team actually contact me and (1) explain the delay, (2) explain their lack of contact and (3) delivery my products (or give me an immediate refund if this is not possible).

Hello Kata, thank you for your feedback, we sincerely apologise that we have not been in touch sooner, we are currently experiencing a higher than usual number of customer enquiries and working through them as fast as we can. We have now responded to your latest email regarding your query. We are sorry that you have not received your order 74704 yet. We can see that this order was dispatched on 23rd February, so it looks as if it is lost in transit. I accidentally sent my order to my old address, there was no option to cancel or amend my order online, so I emailed them straight away using their contact form, and then I emailed their email address too, but no one responded to me for two weeks, by which time it was obviously too late... There is no contact number for them either.

Hello Isabelle, thank you for your feedback. I can see that you first emailed us on 10th February regarding an order you placed that day, and that we did not respond until 17th February, by which time your order had been dispatched to your old address, for which we sincerely apologise. We are very sorry that it took us 1 week to respond to you. 2 of the items were shipped on 10th February, so we may not have been able to get the brands change the address in time on 1 or both of those, but the other item was shipped on 11th February, so we would have been able to on that one at least. The reason for the delay in our response is due to the fact that in January there was an issue with fulfilment on our system which greatly impacted on us and increased the volume of customer enquiries greatly. Our Customer Service team has been working hard on catching up since then and we are almost there now. I have emailed you with a gift voucher to use on your next purchase with us, as a token of apology for the inconvenience caused to you. Just to reassure you that we are aiming to revert as quickly as possible to a response time of up to 1 working day. Once again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards Ginny

UPDATE: After I posted this review, the customer service team very quickly got in touch (funny that!). I can now say that I've been able to return the goods, have received a refund and was given a £5 voucher for a future purchase. All in all a frustrating experience, but I'm glad I can now put it behind me. Please avoid this company: they are unable to address customer service issues, such as refund/return requests, and do not reply to emails. Unfortunately the issue has gone on for so long, and Wearth are not taking it seriously, so I have had no alternative but to report them to Trading Standards and file a complaint with Citizen's Advice. Don't just take my word for it, see for yourself on their Facebook 'community' page and on Instagram comments - this is clearly a profoundly mismanaged company that is unable to properly deliver its service. Please do avoid, as I'm currently unable to get money back!

Hi Jessica, we are very sorry to hear this. We had a temporary issue with our new fulfilment software for our bands which has now been resolved. As a result we had a number of order issues which meant that our typical response time has been slower than usual. Everything is working well now, nonetheless we appreciate this is not good enough from us and are working on making further improvements to our customer service as our community is growing quickly. I ordered three packs of dental floss which are unuseable, the floss just breaks, and had a lot of unnecessary packaging! I didn't receive a response when I got in touch about this either. I did however like the brown glass dispenser bottle and would order this again, there are some nice products on the site.

It's 16 days after I was told that my order had been despatched and I have only received one of three items, with no explanation. It doesn't encourage me to use Wearth again, even though I like the item I did receive.

I found the quality of my item quite poor overall. It was also not as described on the website and arrived in quite bad condition. However, it arrived in good time and the customer service I received was very helpful.

I appreciate the environmental friendly packaging and composition of the dishwasher powder. This is why I bought this. I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately the powder had very poor performance. The dishes and glasses have stains and residues that I haven't seen before using other Eco dishwasher tablets. I am very disappointed.

Purchase Wak up the copper flask, the product is not pure copper the cap is chipped away revealing this and the cap does not screw on properly, its a nuisance.

I didn't realise all my orders will be shipped separately. It meant way more packaging than I was expecting. I would not have shopped there if I would have knew that. Also, one product took a long time before being dispatched. I thought there was an error somewhere since I had no news for about a week.

Hi Isabelle, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed by receiving the products separately and the late dispatch of one of your orders. We are an online marketplace so all of our brands deliver direct to our customers, we make this very clear in the postage and packaging part of our product descriptions for all of our products as well as in our delivery information. We chose a marketplace model for two reasons, firstly it allows us to have many different products making it easy for our customers to discover and buy from sustainable and ethical brands. Secondly we believe it to actually be more environmentally-friendly as the alternative would for us to to have a large warehouse which would require a lot of energy as well as the increased carbon footprint of all the brands sending us the products (in more packaging as well) before we then send it to the customer. We are also more easily able to adjust to demand meaning that we do not buy any products which end up not being sold and end up going to waste as we tap into the brand's existing stock.
