“I'm retired, I wanted an interest only mortgage, and in 4 weeks from start to finish because I was buying at auction. Other brokers told me it was impossible - the Which mortgage advisors found the mortgage for me, and expedited the whole process. They gave a brilliant service - nothing was too much trouble. It's the kind of service we wish everyone would give but these days, so few do. Thank you to the Which mortgage advisors who worked on my behalf.”

“Which, ie Christopher Tilley, was extremely helpful and helped to progress our mortgage application. However the legal firm suggested, ie Optima Legal, were very poor, ie losing our documents, not knowing what the latest position was, not keeping us updated to name but a few things we experienced.”

“I do not have the time or inclination to be trawling mortgage lenders and their offers so the Which advisers did all the work for me. They were informative, thorough and extremely helpful all the way through. It's a brilliant service and one I would recommend to all.”

“The worst customer service I have received in the last 10 years of dealing with financial institutions. I accept that there will always be challenges when taking out a mortgage. What has made my experience so bad is the total lack of communication from the mortgage arranger. For a customer to be waiting for a callback and to then be told the following day when phoning yet again that the person has gone off on a course for the week is totally unacceptable. I was constantly waiting for calls to be returned and never once received an apology. If I hadn't already paid for this so called service I would have stopped the process within the first week due to the total lack of communication and poor resolutions.”

“Initial service from the advisor (Sam) was excellent. Good product knowledge and a personable and understanding approach based on initial contact rating would have been 5*. However, the the case was taken over by an administrator (Sheryl) once the provisional product was selected. Contact and updates were minimal despite my request that I be updated with other products that might be of better value during the 5 months before I was due to remortgage in order to achieve the best rate. No updates despite emails. I completed on June 6th, however, no contact made re completion from Which, aside from the mortgage company. I should have been given on years free membership of Which magazine as part of the fee paid and have heard nothing. A shameful service for an expensive fee. I am disappointed that the brand name Which is associated with the standard of customer service provided.”

“friendly and efficient service. any hiccups between ourselves and third parties were dealt with immediately. Went with their recommended solicitors as well. All in all for first time buyers it went very smoothly”

“The service we received was outstanding and helped make our house purchase a lot easier. The mortgage product we selected, with help from our adviser, was just right for us - we feel our requirements were fully taken into account. We had a couple of false starts as our first house purchase fell through. Our Which? adviser was ready to re-start the application process each time, which made the whole thing a lot less stressful for us. Our adviser responded to emails very promptly, answered all our questions in language we could understand, and was available on the phone whenever we needed to discuss something in more detail. I would definitely recommend the Which? mortgage advice service to others, particularly first time buyers who don't necessarily know all the steps in the process.”

“Alex Taylor from Which? Mortgage Advisers has been fantastic to work with. She is knowledgeable, professional, and truly impartial and customer-oriented. I fully trust that she has presented me with my best options, given my circumstances and wishes. She has been very patient with me throughout my search for a shared ownership property, which is a time-consuming and difficult process to navigate. I couldn't recommend Which? Mortgage Advisers highly enough!”

“Although the administration from Which was okay, they failed to inform us of some vital legislation at the beginning of the process. Which if we had known at the time we could have possibly avoided extra costs incurred as a result. I would have expected better legal knowledge and complaints handling. Even after I expressed dissatisfaction they did not take responsibility or offer any concessions. Overall I'm a bit disappointed.”

“We were first time buyers, and came in to this pretty naive; as such, we are extremely happy that we chose to spend the money on using Which?'s services. The advice we received from Adam, and the support from Christopher was 1st class. Our employment situations were far from straightforward, and Adam really helped us find a mortgage product that suited us. I would thoroughly recommend Which? to anyone, in fact we have already recommended using this service to a couple of friends. Brilliant advice, excellent support and removed almost all the stress - worth every penny.”
