“whole foods is an exercise in hubris. insanely overpriced, terrible quality control. california roll had the most overcooked crab ive ever seen with pieces of shell inside of every single slice. rotisserie chicken bag covered in grease, grime and skin, pieces of skin stuck inside of the zip seal with the label slapped on top of it, absolutely disgusting. stuff used to be nicer than average but now it's the worst generic products possible. 4 to 10 times more expensive than any corporate chain grocery in the area, and apparently the quality of the food and service are now worse than kroger or meijer. you won't even get fresh produce anymore, it's a disgrace. i genuinely think i could find better quality groceries at dollar tree.
Customer service is acceptable *only* for grocery orders. returns and refunds for anything besides food will happen when pigs fly, no matter how obviously the problem is amazon's fault. items are knowingly mislabeled or sold with incorrect details, customer service will tell you that they've double checked and i was sent the correct item. they use half chat bots and half people using chatgpt to translate everything for them, and while some of them try every hard, they flagrantly do not speak or understand english. i don't think its too much to ask to vet the hires in some way, but they don't.”
“My earlier note might have come in, incomplete. As the risk of repeating myself (but in the interest of completeness) let me pick it up from the start. I have had well over 25 years shopping at WF. And, for the most part, it has been a pleasant shopping experience. About 6 years ago, I stopped using your meat department, as I found a couple of the men behind the counter surly and downright rude. Took that portion of my business to Heinens. More recently, I have noticed that some of your floor staff seem to have adopted a similar manner where they ‘talk down’ to the customers who might be a bit lost. I did pull one of the staff members short and mentioned to him that he could have handled his interaction with an older lady with more courtesy. He took exception to my comment, and with a dismissive wave of the hand told me that I should not be speaking to him is such a manner. I suspect this feedback will likely meet a fate similar to my comment a few years ago about your meat section. But, if you are to retain what I see as a relatively loyal customer base, you might consider a greater investment in training of your personal. In closing I should note that the lapses I notice in your service levels stand in embarrassingly sharp contrast to the exceptional quality of service at Heinens. I might suggest you consider asking them for some training help. Mohan Reddy”
“One star is for this review. In addition their fruit is rotten sometimes. This review is for Whole foods in Nashua NH (north) last thanksgiving I ordered the turkey and fixings. This was great. It was cooked with directions on heating. So for Easter I order their turkey breast. I’m attaching what it was supposed to look like and what I got. I spoke to a manager Easter morning and he said that’s what I ordered. This week I spoke to another. He said that’s what I ordered. I said what about the juice. He said yes the turkey will have juice. I’ve bought their cooked chicken and yes there is some drippings. This was not normal. Would you come home Easter morning and put on a platter and serve. Also this week I bought one of those chicken and it was cooked through. No apologies. No dinner that night and no turkey on Easter.”
“I have shopped at Wholefoods for over 20 years. I used to drive from Fredericksburg, VA to the Springfield, VA Wholefoods because there were no stores near me.
I now live in Richmond, VA and shop at both Wholefoods; mainly the one that is blocks from my home at 2024 W Broad St.
Last evening I stopped at that store to pick up dinner items and a bottle of wine. I was asked to present my drivers license which I did and I also pulled the temporary paper license out stating that my license just expired on my birthday July 7, and I had not yet received my new license. I am 61 years old and do not look like I am possibly younger than 21. My expired license showed my age and photo and the temporary license showed the new expiration date.
A manager was called over to authorize my purchase of the wine. He told me the store policy does not allow approval of the expired or temporary license. I said that was ridiculous. He said I am sorry but it is store policy.
I spends hundreds of dollars at Wholefoods every month on groceries. That ended yesterday. I will no longer patronize a store that does not accept a valid DMV document as a form of I.D. and that embarrassed me in front of a line of customers and inconvenienced me by causing me to drive to the other side of town in order to purchase a bottle of wine to serve with dinner.
Shame on Wholefoods. I will be sharing my experience with all of my neighbors and writing reviews of this deplorable experience.”
“First of all the customer service cannot answer any questions and tell you to contact the regional office phone number which sends you back to the original customer service that cannot answer the question. Secondly, they purchase their lobster tails from Luke lobster and only the ones from Canada whereas the other stores in Illinois purchase the Luke lobsters from Maine which are much better tasting. Also, they cannot keep employees at the store because it is such a bad environment to work in. Also, if you cannot get a hold of anyone higher than customer service it shows that they don’t care what is going wrong.”
“The deli department was horrible I wanted plain roast beef he kept telling me they don't carry that when in fact I bought it there several times the man was rude and impatient at Bergen Mall nj”
