If I could give zero stars I would, very specifically for Dionne M the customer services representative who has been the least helpful or considerate person in the history of customer services. Having used worktop express in the past without issue, we ordered some oak block laminate worktop to replace our current inherited kitchen worktops. The order arrived and was delivered into our kitchen, this was the only room where the 4m and 3m piece would fit. I inspected the worktops as best as I could but the 3m was placed on top of the 4m piece and also the edging strips they supply with the worktops were covering some of the worktop so I couldn’t see everything and couldn’t move them as they weigh a tonne, but I ran my hand over what I could to feel for gouges or dents etc and looked through the plastic at the bits which were easily visible. Additionally as we are renovating the kitchen we kept the plastic delivery wrap on to prevent any paint or plaster going onto the worktops. Last weekend, we came to fit the new worktops; we measured up and carefully peeled a small section of the wrap away to make the cut, leaving the rest of it on until the point that we listed it from the floor so we didn’t scuff the laminate dragging it etc. at the point that we lifted the section onto the cabinets and removed the plastic wrapping we were dismayed to see a puncture mark in the front of the laminate. We couldn’t progress with fitting the worktop and had to wait until Monday morning to call worktop express as they were closed on Saturday. Come Monday morning I called, expecting helpful customer service, an apology for sending damaged goods and a no worries we’ll get you a replacement out straight away response. Instead I was met with a quite blunt send us an email with a picture but because you’ve cut it we don’t offer replacements. I explained that we had not known the damage was there before cutting it and regardless of the fact we had cut it, it’s not as though they would sell it onto any one else because it’s not useable. The customer services representative who has been replying to my emails and who was the person I initially spoke to is called Dionne M; they have been incredibly unhelpful, blunt and almost smug in their refusal to escalate this to their manager. The reply I got to my email was that they do not offer refunds or replacements once you have cut the worktop and by doing so you have accepted their Ts and Cs. Needless to say we are astounded at this point. I quoted the consumer rights act to them and pointed out that their own internal policies cannot over ride someone’s statutory rights; they still kept going back with the same rhetoric. I have pointed out to them that it is irrelevant if their internal policy is to not refund or replace damaged goods once they have been cut, it does not over rule the consumer rights act and we did not accept delivery of damaged goods. We inspected them as best as we were able for our situation of not wanting to damage them while there was paint around which may have damaged them. I explained to them that we’re regular working people with average jobs and we cannot afford to just buy another worktop for nearly £200, we can’t afford to have a new kitchen, so a splash of paint and some new laminate worktops is the best we can stretch to. Their offer was initially a wooden chopping board as a good will gesture, which was an absolute laughable joke. Their second offer was 10% off if I wanted to reorder. We paid £179 for the damaged piece; however all told we spent nearly £500 with them once you factor in the other worktop, the fixing kits, colour matched resin and delivery. They have even tried to change tact and suggest that because the damage wasn’t reported at the time of delivery that we may have damaged it ourselves after already in a previous email reply having apologised and said that sometimes their delivery standards fall short and products may be delivered to customers with damages or imperfections. Absolutely outrageous. I specifically asked to have the issue escalated to a manager and was told they had closed the case. At the time of writing, they have just come back with a final offer of 15% of the cost of a replacement which I will reject as it’s not the cost of the full amount we spent on the worktop. I note on another reviews here that others have found that their cases have been closed under the pretence of not speaking to the customer services representative politely; I will be happy to post transcripts of every interaction here and elsewhere if that occurs in my case as I have been completely respectful and polite throughout. I have submitted a complaint through citizens advice to trading standards as worktop express have point blank refused to reimburse me for the faulty goods they have delivered

I usually prefer to figure things out on my own, but after weeks of hitting a wall with this platform issue and $111,000 been scammed, I realized I needed some support. A friend who had gone through something similar suggested RANGEPRO.ORG, from the start, they were professional, clear in their communication, and genuinely listened to my concerns. Throughout the process, I felt informed and respected. Everything was handled efficiently, and I’m relieved I decided to get help when I did.

AVOID AVOID AVOID !! Sold us a poor quality worktop that swelled up in a couple of days. Tried to get it replaced but Worktop Express would blame it on fitting. Also, wasted time and money on a wrong order sent to me. Took so many emails to get my refund for the wrong order. Will never buy from them again.

Sold end of line at full price, now have unfinished kitchen, cost £000's. Ruined. Any defects with the worktop you're in trouble. Didn't tell us it was being discontinued. Just 3 weeks ago, now we're stuck. Big, proper suppliers will hold limited stock to cover repair, damage, manufacturing defect or guarantee. Up to 5 years. They refuse to contact supplier to see if any more available, refuse to contact previous customers any left over. So unhappy. No back up or support. Never again.

Horrible customer service, they did not deliver my items and claimed the drivers have left it outside. Refused to re-driver and are very ignorant and rude.

Customer Care is a hall of mirrors folks. The worktop I had bought was completely inappropriate for the job I had planned and yet no one in the shop said so. Instead, after an exhaustive rounds of questions and photos sent, I was told that the information I needed was in the installation advice. So now you have to buy a thing to know that it is unsuitable! Like most people I pay tradesman to do jobs like this - so where's the customer care in this? I have received no satisfaction at all.

Ordered two prime Oak pre-oiled worktops, found poor quality wood filled with wood filler, pre-oiled worktops were not oiled and got water stains immediately after installation. Customer service don't resolve issue or compensate. Definitely not a place to buy worktops, avoid.

Obviously this isn’t a great place to purchase worktop and customer service is very poor It looks like CEO of the company also has no care what people think as long as they got people money they don’t want to know There much better company around to buy worktop and not worry about customer support than this one so do not recommend them at all

Be careful with this companys terms for damaged items Be careful with this company. We had a chipped worktop supplied by them. We left it in the original packaging stored safely in a room with no contact while waiting for the kitchen fitter to finish his next job. A couple of weeks passed and when the fitter unwrapped the worktop he discovered the large chip in the front. We contacted them and were told because we didn't unwrap and check it within 24 hours that they were not liable. The worktop is super durable and looks like was dropped on edge of lorry or similar during transportation. Be wary of them adding small print into emails (which is not legally binding) to try to distance themselves from any liability. I would not recommend this company due to this dishonest attitude.

Purchased worktops for our new kitchen and one of them had a manufacturing defect .we contacted worktop express who asked us to send pictures but there response was nothing to do with them and asked for more photos instead of sending someone out to inspect it . All in all terrible service and avoiding there responsibility. What's the point of warranty.

Inferior worktops ,not fit for purpose, unti blown in 8 weeks on outer edge thats supposedly is sealed in manufacturing, company pass the blame, so warranty is pointles as they will wriggle out any way they can,as the saying goes buy cheap buy twice, lesson learnt.

Be careful with this company, I am sure the worktops would have looked lovely had they actually been delivered. The 'drivers' don't carry them up steps, all they said to me was we can't get them up there (about 12 steps to the house) and wanted to leave them on the pavement, for me to somehow shift on my own! i refused delivery but was still charged anyway even though no attempt was made tp actually deliver them to the house. When I called the lady I spoke to said this is common query/complaint and that on the very original order confirmation email there is a link about delivery options (obviously well hidden) . There was nothing on any further actual delivery instructions about this though on the text messages. All in all I would AVOID AVOID AVOID. Probably best using a local company who care about their customer service and image.
