Worktop Express - the Ryanair of worktops. Solid wood worktop arrived split. We took phots and so did the driver. As we needed a worktop that evening we kept it and it has been covered ever since. We are in a first floor flat. Initially W.E. said they wouldn't collect as they couldn't use a lift due to H&S. They now say they will collect and repair it. They won't supply a temporary replacement. They won't replace it. We will be without it for min 5 working days. Even if we agree the guarantee is only 6 months! They have not agreed to a reduction. Wish I'd never heard of the company.

worktop arrived 4meter length 1.4 meters was warped. Don't bother with this company

Lied about delivery dates. Promised others dates, items didn't materialise. Cancelled order. Told refunds will take the best part of a month and then they tried to deliver the items! Shocking, avoid at all costs

We ordered lots of real wood samples from which to choose a large worktop order but their total uselessness in even trying to arrange a delivery was indication they couldn’t manage an actual order of hundreds of pounds. Had to speak to 3 people to organise a delivery but after two failed attempts to deliver spread over the course of 8 days despite the next day delivery promise (apparently they are unable to find an address by London Bridge or correct my telephone number twice to check on this), my fourth call was to cancel the order and ask for a full refund. Customer services extremely rude and unhelpful - they literally are throwing away business because of their incompetence.

Beware! Everywhere they post "two man delivery" but in fact it's just to your front door - if you live in a flat or need up the stairs - tough! Even their own delivery drivers say they get angry customers all the time when they discover these two strong strapping lads won't take it past your ground floor, but the company apparently is not bothered for their staff to take the abuse and continues to hide the fact they will only delivery to ground floor door in the small print of the terms & conditions. Also the worktop is just a slab - if you want curved corners you have to pay extra for it. My worktop had a black mark in the middle, and filler marks all over it... Would have returned it except builder got to it before I did and had cut it already.. Disgraceful company!

Have ordered worktops, however, the 2 man delivery option drivers did not want to carry the worktops to my front door as there were few stairs between driveway and the front door. When I called customer service - the woman on the phone was extremely obnoxious and tried to argue over the ambiguity of the statement on their delivery service description which states "and will offload the worktop to a ground floor room of your choosing" that the ground floor room applies to there also being no vertical steps in the path from where the delivery truck is parked to the house. She also stated that under no circumstances they would refund the delivery charge or part of it because of the service statement on the website. Luckily the drivers agreed to help me out carry the worktops to the front door despite the ridiculous ambiguities in the service statements, however, I would not recommend this company to anyone and would not purchase again due to the unreasonable and unacceptable customer service that one may have to deal with should there be any issues with order or delivery.

Avoid, seriously. Awful company. Don't return customer calls, delivery drivers don't give a damn and won't return your calls, and pretend they knocked your door when really they couldn't be bothered, drove off and went home for the day leaving me with no delivery and hours of misery dealing with this parasite company.

Like the previous reviewer I had a terrible experience with this company. I ordered two huge pieces of prime oak (So big two drivers had to carry in each one) then paid joiners £500 to cut and install to form an island. Only after oiling it was obvious they had sent me two DIFFERENT TYPES of wood. Several months of emails have finally resulted in them admitting the mistake. They have agreed to replace the wood however refuse to pre-cut the wood even though this is a service they offer. This means I am expected to pay an additional £500 to get an this cut and installed. I am a pensioner. I dont have another £500. What a heartless company.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered two birch worktops which, when oiled, turned out to look like oak. Of course all responsibility denied by them as I oiled them before they were fitted. I now have two work surfaces which are totally different colour wood on each one. When I complained about the disparity in colour, They repeated their answer three times saying I should not have oiled the wood before fitting. They have not fully addressed my complaint and refuse to issue a refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

The worktop was great it was delivered with care an it was just as lovely on as it was in the showroom it is lovely and sets our kitchen off brilliantly would recommend worktop express to all our family

disgusting customer service throughout this company! my 1st order they delivered 1 oak worktop and matching breakfast bar unfortunately the breakfast bar was damaged and the delivery driver said they'd take it back and someone would be in touch, and they did I received a phone call a couple of hours later and was offered 3 different solutions as they didn't have that particular breakfast. bar in stock so I said that I have a chat with my family and call back once we've decided. after 5 working days trying to get back in touch with Bethanie (she was the only person who could verify what she'd offered no one else could help) I decided to cancel the order via email Bethanie replied to this and cancelled my order with no apology, I then decided to complain via email and ebay then I got a reply from josh through ebay, he called me to apologise and offer me another upgrade, stupidly I fell for it but because Bethanie had cancelled my order I had to pay again and wait for my 1st refund, josh promised next day delivery and the next day the van pulled up the delivery driver said we've got your worktop but come and look at it as its badly damaged all down one side, it was really bad and I asked where the breakfast bar was and he said he'd been told someone had rang me to say there wasn't one but I hadn't received any phone call, email or anything. that was the final straw so I cancelled again only to be told by josh about there 14 day refund policy. I've just got my first refund back about 21 days after cancelling thanks to ebays resolution centre. and I'm now 17 days after cancelling my 2nd order and have now contacted barclaycard to step in and get my money back! beware of this company I completely believe most of the great reviews online must be fake, sift through the good ones and you'll find plenty of bad reviews!

Part of my order got damaged before delivery. They didn’t bother to tell me so I’d pulled out the old surface ready for delivery. Nobody from management called me despite asking 5 times. Remaking the one piece will take 10 days (longer than new orders!) which makes me think they just don’t care. In the meantime, I have nowhere to put the hob and I’m going to have to take more time off work and another 300-mile round trip to fit it and tile. Terrible outfit.

The whole experience has been a nightmare! Two worktops later( both damaged) no communication, it goes on and on!!! Also their reviews on TrustPilot are in my opinion fabricated as on every other forum, no one else has had a good experience either!!!!

Awful customer service and useless contact centre staff. The worktop I was interested in was showing as in stock on the website. Before ordering I called in to confirm there was definitely stock, there was, and subsequently placed my order online. I received an automated email giving a delivery date approximately a week from ordering. So far so good. Two days before delivery I receive an email saying the delivery date cannot be met and is being pushed out by another 2 weeks. Not idea, but it's something I can work with. Item is still showing in stock on the website. A week goes by and I decide to confirm delivery date and time only to be told the item is out of stock. I ask when the item is due to be back in stock and I'm giving the run around with nonsense excuses. Eventually I'm given a made up date of 3 weeks from the revised delivery date (or in other words 6 weeks lead time from original order). As a result I cancel order and ask for a refund. 2 weeks have elapsed since asking for a refund and yet nothing has been received. I called in to ask where the refund is only to be told it's been authorised (no bloody doubt given you've not sold me anything) and it'll come in a few weeks. Awful customer service and I'm glad the order fell through as I would have regretted buying off these cowboys. Go elsewhere.

We ordered 3 worktops which are all wrong the first 2 small curved worktops have the wrong radius which we supplied by our kitchen supplier and today out kitchen fitter came out to fit the bigger worktop to find it's cut wrong and the sink was purchased from them to my sink unit goes to the side of the wall and the worktop has 10cm side so hence the sink didn't drop in I have sent 30 emails countless photos over a 3 week span and copied the MD in will Rees but there still making excuses this is the worse customer service ever will be reporting this to trading standards watchdog and Rip off Britian ... stay away buy from a proper Company

Absolutely disgusted with them 28 emails loads of phone calls damaged worktop which was a bespoke cut to order and they still have not refunded. I ordered my worktop in march it took a 3rd date for them to actually arrive. The date they cancelled the day before due to the cutting saw breaking down and I was told they would finish by hand! The second delivery date lol i received a time slot and ten mins after the last time window lapsed i received an email to tell me the driver forgot to put my worktop on the van. Sorry you can't make this up, what a joke.. Today I have sent an email demanding my refund is in my bank within 24 hours or I will go to Trading standards and email Will Rees. FURIOUS

DREADFUL COMPANY DREADFUL COMPANY DREADFUL COMPANY - STAY WELL AWAY FAILED to deliver due to the driver not being able to read a delivery address and attempted to deliver to a different address. FAILED to answer his phone until he was 60 miles away FAILED to return my callback as promised FAILED to respond to my email FAILED to issue a refund Responded immediately once the claim via paypal was initiated. *****AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS *****

Worktop Express were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They hold great stock and were able to deliver a bespoke order in 48 hrs. Prices are keen and the quality of the product was fantastic.
