“Coast clothes always used to be fantastic quality. I don't know what has happened but I ordered 2 dresses, and they arrived scrunched up and creased in tiny plastic bags. They feel horrible and look cheap. Very disappointing. The only plus is that they did arrive quickly.”

“I've just had excellent service from Coast. I ordered 2 dresses of around £80 each (reduced as during the recent Wedding outfits sale). They arrived within 48 hours, in perfect condition. Both were beautifully made with quality fabrics. I ordered a size 14 and a size 16, but found them almost identical in fit (though slightly different styles). Fabulous dresses but alas, didn't suit me and my long body! I returned them a week after arrival. The return process was easy with no printing required. Three days later I received a full refund. Just so pleased I was able to try the dresses, or I would still be hankering after them now. Thanks, Coast 5 stars from me?”

“Really frustrated and disappointed with my experience. I ordered three dresses from coast and was away on holidays when they were delivered. When I returned, I noted one of the dresses was not what I had ordered. When I contacted coast and accepted I was contacting them outside of the returns timeframe, they still agreed to accept the return. It was not until they realised that they had sent me a pretty cheap 50 pound dress instead of the 210 pound dress that I ordered, did their attitude change. They had told me to proceed with a return and send photos of the items - this is when they and I became aware of the significant price difference between what had been ordered and what had been received. They then decided they would not accept the return, as it was outside of the window of return and suggested I try and sell the item online to recoup some money!! Truely poor customer service, when the error was entirely on their part. I would warn against using this retailer.”

“I’m not impressed so far with this company. I paid for next day delivery and I was informed very early this morning by Coast the following: “It’s on it’s way” I’m still waiting for my item to be delivered. The DPD tracking doesn’t work….hence I cannot check where or if my item will arrive today, so I’m still none the wiser! Customer service does not appear to be accessible! Please advise.”

“Awful quality since taken over by BooHoo. The dress that arrived looks totally different to the one I ordered, different colour, long sleeves. It looks like it should cost £20 from a market stall not £200! The label on the dress is in Arabic so I can’t tell what fabric it is made of or how It should be washed and there’s no mention of ‘coast’ on it. This is a cheap dress they’re selling under the coast brand.”

“My dress arrived and i couldnt wait to open the parcel... it was such a poor replica of the dress i had expected by the pictures and description of it... it had extra frills round the bottom.. pleats were more like wrinkles and the metallic straps werent there.. i wouldnt wear it to bed never mind a wedding.. so disappointed.. i wont order online again... so bad i wondered had i been scammed...”

“A button attached to a buttonhole and no one noticed! Now Coast is refusing to fix an unworn item as the so-called 6 months policy has lapsed! Multiple orders were placed, some items were no longer available and cancelled. Highly annoying as I'd already purchased these items. Returns are not processed in a timely manner. Multiple Customer services agents respond to the same complaint without reading previous emails and expect their clients to do all their work, they are not able to locate email addresses, contact details etc unless it's handed over on a plate. Furthermore, a factory fault on an item is being ignored. Clearly their quality assurance checks are substandard and Customer service process non existent.”

“Was so disappointed in the quality of the items especially at the price point. Unfinished seams no lining stiff zips just cheaply made finishing appalling for a dress priced at £150 had much better quality on items at a 1/4 of the price”

“Coast returns website is rubbish every time I try to compete the return form it flags up can't find order number or email or last four digets of the phone number. But if I key in the order number on check my delivery it finds my order without any problem. I am writing this review as there is no way of contacting coast by phone or email. I just don't know what to do. So frustrating. I am going to try a coast outlet shop customer service if they have one.”

“Totally agree with the other reviews on here! Definitely 0 stars! Horrendous quality. I bought a midi skirt as did my sister. We were shocked at the quality (or should I say non-quality) Amazingly the prices are still the same? Primark quality :( 100% Boohoo made! So disappointing! I have also heard that Oasis and Warehouse are of similar quality.”

“If I could give a 0 stars I would. I bought a dress on the 4th and on the 6th of dic i received a totally different dress than the one I had order they don’t even bother to get something similar just send me a totally different dress try to contact them in Whassapp but never got a response try messenger after a day got a response telling me that the dress I bought was out of stock so they won’t even send me the same dress diferente color the just want me to buy a new dress so the can get my money and they offer to return my money in the next 15 days so I don’t understand why would you take people money if you don’t have the right items to send.plus on top of that now they want me to pay more for the new dress that was 50%of due to Black Friday and now all prices are up . please please please don’t buy here I wish I had read the reviews before buying with them this have to be a scam”

“Had problems with my order last 2 times.They sent the 3 items which they said was out of stock and didn’t send the other 7 i paid for.Finally got a refund after days and days of sending proof and back and forth with many different people only to realise they didn’t refund the entire amount.Again back and forth finally got full refund.Second order 1 item missing and some of them the quality is horrendous.Checked the label and realised it’s different from the coast products i bought 2-3 years ago.Then when i searched i realised it’s been bought by a company called boohoo.Had similar problem with karen millen with products being so low and cheap quality and realised it’s the same parent company which bought the 2 brand.So basically you’re buying boohoo quality for coast and karen millen prices”

“Terrible customer services!! I bought a shirt jacket in size S, on 25th February online. They sent a fur jacket in size M on 5th March. I was shocked and connect to them with chat in WhatsApp. Poul, one of their customer care answered me and after apologized he promised me he could send me the item after I send the return receipt. I returned the wrong item on 6th March and sent the receipt to him. He said that he was afraid because they didn't my order in size A and it was out of stock!!! I checked every day their site, maybe my item find and come to sell, again. Finally, on 10 March it is available and I came back to the chat, again and asked to send my order. This time, Caitlin answered my message, she did not read my message completely and said I have to wait 29 days to refund. I tried to explain but shE did not answer me. I am sad. Now, I don't have my order and neither my money until 29 days!!!! What fabulous your service is!!!!”

“So disappointed with my recent Coast online shopping experience. Purchased a skirt and top to match.....both beautiful, top was a perfect fit, but the skirt was not true to size and too small (no way was the skirt a size 14!). Not able to exchange it at a Coast concession (no stores), and told that their warehouse is experiencing 'significant delays' of weeks. So options were to fork out another £145 for a skirt and wait 4 weeks for a refund, or pay a lot to have seamstress literally rip the skirt apart to make it fit. Wedding is 3 weeks away, so would take too long to return, refund and then order the same skirt in a different size! I've now had pay to get the skirt altered. I don't expect to have to pay for a skirt to be fixed, when it could've so easily been exchanged, so now this skirt has cost me nearly £200! Will never use Coast again. So disappointed that a store with excellent customer service now doesn't seem to care about their customers. To add, I have always been a size 14 in Coast dresses/skirts/etc. never had a problem with their sizing before and always good quality clothing...a lessen learned for me, an expensive one though, not to buy from Coast again, which I am very sad about.”

“I bought a dress in the sale. It was delivered in perfect condition. The delivery took longer than I would have expected and was in a giant box with unnecessary plastic wrapping.”

“I purchased an outfit for my anniversary party, the staff in the store at Blue Water could not be more helpful. I tried on so many dresses and they supplied me with accessories to match so I could view the complete outfit.”
