“Having ordered a card in Oct 19 as a one off, I was rather surprised to find a recurring payment of £15 per month for their rewards scam in Jan 20, set up on my account. When I queried it, I was informed that it could have been a family member that signed me up. My circumstances are such that this was impossible.
This is undoubtedly a scam, as I’m not alone it would appear.”
“I looked at my credit card statement and was shocked to see a recurring payment of £15 to myfunkyrewards. When I bought a card & gift through Funky Pigeon I was asked if it's like a free trial- silly me!! Read the small print!! I never imagined a cashback site would charge £180 a year!!! You'd have to do a lot of spending too get that back- which I don't. Overall it's left a bad taste in my mouth, I've cancelled myfunkyrewards and I won't use Funky Pigeon again either. Beware, pidgeons are always trying to poop on you!!!”
“Terrible customer.sevice birthday card 3 days late and a flipent advisor on the phone who just didnt care !!
Will.not.be using again was spending around 200 a.month with this company not anymore”
“I ordered a cushion yesterday and it arrived today!! It is amazing, photos are so clear, fabric is great quality, so so pleased. Will definitely be ordering again from you. 10/10 for great service”
“This is not the first bad experience I’ve had with this company but I will only tell you my recent story from a couple of days ago. I picked a card to send to a friend of mine for the 18th of January I went in to set the date to be sent and I sent it for the 16th of January, I have done this before so I know how it works anyway after getting my confirmation I’d noticed the card was going to be sent straight away and again this has happened to me before, so I am how it works, so I am immediately sent funky pigeon an email to explain the problem and would they change the date to the 16th, so the following day at about 1930 in the evening I get an email from them saying they’re very sorry but it’s already been posted. I was fuming it just seems they just don’t read their emails or they just not set up to run the company properly, I sent a second email to explain my displeasure but they can’t even be bothered to answer that.”
“Don’t give this site your bank details. I once ordered a birthday card and just noticed that every month they take £15 from my account. I am livid...no idea where it goes or what it’s for. I am livid.”
“I sent a card to my daughter in America on the 10 th December to arrive on the 20th IT DIDNT ARRIVE how disappointing . Giving me a refund which I haven’t received yet and listening to the other reviews I will probably have to fight for that . Prepay I won’t be using them again and I paid by card so I don’t want prepay .... don’t use them you will be dissatisfied.”
“Ordered a birthday card for my little boy, I ordered it to be delivered a couple of days before his birthday going by past experiences with them...card didn't turn up at all!!! I'm now battling with them for a refund, customer service is dreadful. I will be contacting trading standards and will never use funky pigeon ever again!”
“This review refers specifically to the MyFunky Rewards (a third party company that takes your bank details from Funky Pigeon and then steals your money!)
Scenario: bought a gift from FP. All good. It then asked if I wanted a £6 cashback for my next purchase. Of course I do. No where did it ask for bank details NOR did it outline this cashback required a £15/month subscription.
Unaware, I continued life as normal. I've now found that I've been charge £15 a month for the last three months! Call FP, apparently this is nothing to do with them. Called the rewards company where they said I had given my bank details (erm, no I didnt!). The man on the phone finally confirmed that yes, FP give this company your card details. Yes, i should have read the small print (all 7 pages), but in good faith i assumed a good company would have a transparent website with this info. Thankfully called to cancel but it's a complete scam!!! No where on the website, nor my emails fees it *clearly* outline this is a rolling monthly debit.
I will never use Funky Pigeon as a result of this, harvesting of customer data to a third party company without asking for explicit confirmation is immoral.
Do not use either!!”
“i have the worst experience with them, they took my money and never delivered anything, so be careful and dont use them as your service, they are thieves.”
“Having ordered an olive tree for a gift with a personalised message - we visited him the next day and was shocked to see the very small size of plant (although wrapped beautifully)
We were very disappointed and embarrased.”
“Don't use this company you are without your knowledge when making a purchase signed up to funky reward then they will debit your account £15 without your permission”
“I ordered a calendar online and a key ring... the key ring was an extra on the order which I saw as I was checking out. They charged £2.99 for 1st class delivery of the calendar (no option for 2nd class, or cheaper) and then an EXTRA £1.99 for a key ring, which could be posted the same time as the calendar.
Seems very expensive considering most companies are now doing free delivery.”
“used Funky Pigeon to create 3 collage posters displaying images of my mum and family for use at her funeral.
The posters arrived and to our disappointment, they were all ruined and many of the images were so dark that you could not recognise facial features. This was despite all images being hand chosen for there brightness and suitability for print.
The other issue was that they charged me three times for postage and packaging of each poster and when they arrived they used the same envelope thus over charging £6.00.
I had to send photos of the images and they immediately agreed there was an issue. There was no time to get reprints in time for the funeral but as we had already purchased frames I asked if the posters could be rectified.
Got a message from them to say that they were refunding me and would not send reprints.
No quality control from Funky Pigeon and a lack of empathy.”
