“bloody terrible! 1st Gtech was awesome but when can on offer I thought I would give it a go TERRIBLE and after sale awful”

“Such a bad design of Gtech hylite compared to my old one. You cannot tell if the bag is full, you wait until the gtech is not picking up, open it up, see the bag is full and then usually have to clean the little tunnel with a knife. The bag is so small, a simple design please next time. I have loved gtech for many years but not this latest version.”

“After being pleased with the hoover for 3 years, something caught in the brush and it broke. Customer services are not interested as it is not the Company's policy to be concerned with a faulty machine after 3 years. I maintain it is an expensive item of equipment to suddenly break if a piece of string gets caught up in it. The machine should have immediately shut down and restarted after the string was removed. I am extremely disappointed with the poor after sales service and lack of concern shown y GTech.”

“Two strimmers both hardly used have overheated and are now completely dead. Neither has used all the plastic blades that came with them. Both are out of warranty, they wish to charge over £30 for replacement parts. Do not recommend!”

“A hedge cutter bought a few years ago and used 7 times has completely failed. 1st fault the blade stopped cutting, purchased a new one, fitted it, 1st use of this the drive shaft to the rubbish gearing sheared rendering the whole thing useless. Before I'm told I cut too big a hedge. I DID NOT. I am an engineer (ret) and know what I'm doing. At best a 3mil. drive shaft is inadequate. Never again G.Tech. AND NO MARKETING OR SALES CONTACT”

“Model SW02 cordless sweeper with wand....this product is a joke and total rubbish made in China. Handle will not stay on and it is advised that you should avoid this product at all costs. Yes, it is true I was told I could return but this would cost me 20 per cent of the cost of the thing so best to just donate to some charity who could perhaps "do something better with handle" in order for it to remain in place than the designers of this thing have. Should never have been produced as non-usable in original design/condition.”

“What hasnt gone wrong? bought the model ATF038 from argos,after nearly 12 months of poor performance,battery died gtech replaced this one and few weeks later this died, i have had several conservations with admin,and several parts replaced including brush bar,separator filter ---- then they sent a new complete new hoover,this also had the same faults the machine is now smelling of burning and some of the plastic has melted.last phone call 17/08/2020,i am awaiting call back of the company deciding what they are going to do.no call i will be writing to the ombudsman as this item is not fit for the purpose”

“So gtech hoover marked my carpet and they say it’s not a manufacturing fault when one side of rubber is fine and the other is worn so I’m left with badly marked carpet Bad quality for money”

“I too have a problem with my Getch Ram ...it refuses to power up and when it does it will not power down !!!!!!! I have had it just over two years so it is now out of warranty !!!!! customer services informed me to 'put it on its side and hit the left hand side with a slipper' !!!!!! you have got to be joking!!!!! This is obviously a DESIGN fault and the company should replace the machine............”

“Avoid the upright gtech air ram! They have a faulty on/off button which is fine if it’s in warranty as they replace it but if not after 2 years your Gtech is useless unless you spend £69 every 6 months to replace it”

“I require a new on/off switch for my air ram Hoover. Do you think I’m going to pay £69 for a part you cannot supply on its own. I think you are going to lose a lot of customers when they find out about your spares procedure. I am now a very dissatisfied customer.”

“Vacuum cleaner just lacking in performance. Biggest gripe is with hedge trimmer ,which ,after only slight use, would not cut . Total waste of money. I would not purchase any of this Chinese junk ever again. Look elsewhere.”

“Although extremely easy to use as the Air Ram K9 is very light compared to other big name cleaners it is extremely flimsy. When receiving the vacuum I expressed concerns to my husband about how long it would last. 7 weeks down the line the pivot neck has jammed and I am unable to use this. The design is very poor. Gtech, after a number of emails have sent me a new part and assure me this will resolve the problem. Time will tell. It is clear from numerous threads on the internet this is a common problem. They also expect the customer to take apart the vacuum and remove the battery to install the new part. Truly shoddy service given they are aware of the issue. I seriously would advise anyone to think twice about purchasing one of these. Very disappointed.”

“Avoid this item 2 months after purchase had to have a replacement part as was unable to release handle to lower the chassis. Then the left wheel fell off managed to get a replacement as still under warranty. 2 months later wheel fell off again, this is obviously a design fault as it is the left wheel each time and the on/off switch is on the left and the mechanism to release the handle. Very disappointed with this product it is not robust enough and seems cheap and tacky”

“hedge trimmer stopped working just 18 days out of warranty. The machine had been used very little.Offered a new motor at a discounted price. I refused as I feel I am wasting my money .”

“Bought the air ram multi k9 two months in,the pivot in the upright handle has siezed up, Gtech are sending a part out and you have to take it apart with Allen key yourself what a joke read the reviews very careful before you purchase these are so flimsy and cheap ,avoid”

“Have a Gtech Airram It is very tacky. A wheel just dropped off and I’ve discovered it is held in place by flimsy pieces of plastic! Also, it does not pick up as well as my Henry. My advice : AVOID”

“Bought hedge trimmer plus branch cutter, after changing over to the branch cutter which was an easy task, I now cannot for the life of me get the branch cutter off, tried everything, then asked a neighbour who has muscles like a tree branch could he remove it with his big hand pressure, no luck, just when I needed the trimmer most it let me down.”

“I bought the hedge trimmer bundle the HT20 trimmer the ST20 spare battery plus the branch cutter on 28th of April 2017 for £188 I’ve had it 2years and 26 days and it’s only had lite use over two seasons. I tried to use it and it wouldn’t cut, it had lost its torque. I contacted gtech customer services and spoke to a lovely person called Lucy who explained that I’d needed a complete new blade replacement but the 2 year warranty is out of date by 26 days so it’ll cost £39.99. Surely their goods should last longer than 2 seasons of lite work! Very poor I’ve now contacted the citizens advice consumer helpline who are now looking into my problem.”

“My daughter purchased air ram multi package at a cost of almost three hundred pounds for me to use as I do her housework. I had read the glowing reviews and watched all the boastful television ads and I must say I was really disappointed.The actual air ram is an overrated carpet sweeper basically just pushes dirt around,does not get into corners or edges,does not cope with long pile carpet or rugs,same for the handheld.These machines are not for any kind of deep cleaning.After one month the air ram broke down completely and was returned to Argos who had no hesitation and gave my daughter a full refund.She has purchased a new Dyson and this suits me as now her floors are debris free and clean.I can understand a lot of buyers are completely satisfied with these items but in my opinion they are for occasional use and certainly not for a family or heavy use areas.”
