“Appalling customer service from Holland and Barrett. Rude and unhelpful service from Supervisor in Forestside Branch in Belfast. I explained that the odourless capsules that I had purchased were not odourless, to which she replied that was just my opinion and she would not be taking the product back. I completed a written complaint to customer services and received a promise of 1000 Rewards for Life points. One month on, and I still haven't received these points, or any correspondence from Store Manager/Area Manager to update me on outcome of the appalling treatment I was subjected to.”
“Pathetic service from the customer service team as well as the delivery courier. Takes the customer service team forever to responded to people and they don't even solve your problem!! Absolutely useless! My parcel didn't even arrive at my door, once I told the customer service team they told me that it would be re-delivered to me. NO ONE re-delivered. I emailed for a refund because I was fed up of waiting (waited an extra WEEK for my parcel) and no one responded to me for 4 days after sending the email. I am totally finished with Holland and Barret and I would not advise any one to buy form them. The delivery team Hermes are liars, they sent me an email saying they delivered the parcel through my letter box, that is literally impossible because I had a big parcel. So i'll be off to Hermes webpage giving them a far worse review!”
“I bough 2 bottles of Cinnamon supplements, upon chemical analysis I found NO cinnamon so I tried the well known 'taste and aroma' nothing No aroma NO taste, what the hell is going on, are we in UK buying Fake supplements ? .last year I performed a chemical analysis upon B12 did I find the expected Cobalt NO and the analysis was with 100 B12 tablets a sufficient volume to give a cobalt 'yes / No ' indication, I found NO Cobalamine.”
“I order online. The goods arrive fairly quickly but are often damaged. The problem starts there and then. I have to email them about four times to receive a reply which is always off putting with me being directed to 'their questions site' - absolutely shocking service!”
“Although the shops themselves are great, the online store is appalling. I placed a £30 order that failed to arrive. They were a nightmare to contact, in the end I reached them via Facebook and they resent the order. Even then they omitted one of the items.
To add insult to injury they refused to pay the £10 cashback that Quidco had promised me.”

I had a recent problem with delivery of an online order. I was promised a call back which didn't happen. They emailed instead. I was fobbed off with lies. I wrote to the customer service manager to complain about their service and received an email back apologising and giving me the grand total of 500 points in the interest of good customer relations. I informed them when the goods eventually arrived some of the items had no outer packaging and a seal was broken on a bottle. They choose to ignore this. The "manager" signed the email with no surname or title. I doubt if my complaint ever made it to a manager. Very disappointed 😞

“well i tryed again in Monaghan shopping centre, county monaghan, ireland as was there for the weekend again! terrible service in regard to my vitamins; she told me a litany of things to do; which I did not come into the shop for; I got the impression she was bored & was wasting my time! she was wearing black & had blond hair; I couldnt get out of the shop; Talk about overselling; Anyway not great selling skills: I am in Sales myself.”
“So I visited the Watford store to purchase 2 boxes of Grenade Carb Killa bars. I checked with the staff that if I purchased 2 boxes, one would be half price as advertised and the price would be £25.39 as advertised on the internet for the dark chocolate mint and white chocolate giving a full price of £38.08. The answer was 'yes' but unfortunately the boxes were not in stock.
No problem, I phoned the nearest branch in Tesco at Watford and they were in stock.
When I arrived at Tesco the staff rang in the bars separately and ended up with a total of £44.00. I pointed out the error and the manager told me that she could not match the internet price.
My problem with this, as I pointed out to the manageress, if I go online and order them at the lower price I could then collect them I store at no extra cost. So I would be picking up the same boxes at a different price.... she told me I could not have the same boxes and I would need to return Monday or Tuesday.
So I can see two boxes of bars. If I buy today in store I pay £44.00 but if I order online and pick up the same boxes of bars on Tuesday I will only pay £38.00.
I'm sure you can understand my frustration and the reason why I went home and ordered the same bars from dolphin nutrition for only £18.25 per box to be delivered on Tuesday.
Sorry H&B but this a complete disgrace and why I will NEVER shop with you again.
I will also join a lot of other unhappy customers on trustpilot ,, if only I had read the reviews of your shoddy company first.

“Went into their new large store in the centre of Plymouth to order a quantity of Chamomile and Vanilla tea bags that they just do not order and put in stock any more. Spent ages queueing, and then at desk, to place order for Forty pounds of tea bag boxes. Handed the money over after giving every detail under the sun including my loyalty card. Then told I had to give them my e-mail details before I could place the order. I do not have one. Had to take the money back and go adn buy them from elsewhere, which I have now got. What an idiot shop. What an incredible way to treat loyal customers. Obviously I will not be using the store any more. It makes you wonder how large chain stores like this can operate. Useless.”
“Ordered goods for pick up via Click and Collect. I never received an email with the details to access the collection facility. Upon contacting the company I arranged for them to be delivered to the house. I was told they would arrive in two days, i.e. today. I've now checked the tracked order link and they have only been reordered today so who knows when I will receive them. Very disappointed in their customer service.”

“I placed an order online costing me over £20 to avail free delivery service. I found out after paying that i was charged for £4.99 for delivery. I phoned customer service but was very unfortunate because she was very dismissive and unhelpful. She told me that my order was less than £20 so i was charged for delivery service but when I explained that my order was over £20 she then told me that I pressed the wrong button for delivery. I asked her to amend the delivery so i can get my money back but she declined and kept saying that they have no facility to amend it. I only ordered less than 5 minutes ago and she cannot change it???? I even said, i will cancel my order but she kept saying that "it is not possible". This is my first time to place an order online with Holland and Barrett. Never again that i will purchase product from them. Very poor customer service ????”
“a lot of bullying takes place , mostly area managers bullying staff into free work, it also involves a lot of emotional bullying. The staff on the shop floor are made to work and talk like robots and get no thanks for the hard work. HOlland and Barrett is meant to be for healthy living , but the way they drain the staff is not healthy living. This site is meant to be for customers but I want to make sure that the customer know how the staff are being treated in this work place.”
“I had attended the Camberwell Green branch and been looking for Manuka Honey, Vitamin C and Apple Cider Vinegar for a boost to my immune system due to continuously being sick. I was approached by a man called Claver who wasn't in uniform so i was a bit skeptical when he spoke to me. He said "can I help" in an aggressive tone and I declined. He then went away but I could see him watching me. I asked to be left alone as I felt intimidated be then left. Once I had paid and was leaving he ran over to me shouting STOP STOP !!! in front of other customers. He then grabbed my bag pulling me to one side and began searching saying I had stolen. At this point I started to get upset and felt close to tears. After finding nothing on me he shouted "your ban from the centre don't let me see you here again or else I'll call the police, stupid women" I saw him laughing on his mobile speaking French when I walked past 10 minutes after. As I can speak French what he had said was too Volga to repeat. I have contacted the police and my local news paper about the incident as I believe this needs to be highlighted so nobody else experienced such abuse from a man.
I don't normally complain but this was just too much for me to keep to my self and remain scared to speak about.”
