“This company only cares about how much they can steal from you. They will give a delivery time and keep updating the time and delaying it by 30/40/50 minutes or even an hour. The restaurant will tell you that the order is ready to pick up by the just eat driver and you will eventually receive it after 2/3 hours, cold as ice and not allowed to get a refund or compensation and not able to even contact anyone about it.”

“I ordered a McDonald’s via just eat on Friday Evening, I ordered my food at 20:46, and at 20:47 I had a contact number calling my phone, I didn’t answer the phone due to not knowing the number, I then text the number asking who it was for them to say “just eat code pls”, me putting my faith and trust into just eat, I thought there must be a reason they are asking for my code so I sent it over, then at 20:48 my ordered was processed as delivered and I’m left not knowing whether to expect my food or not. I tried to call the number back for it to go straight to a voicemail that said “there is an application error” I then called the local McDonald’s and asked them what was going on for them to say they had no idea, it was also the same on their end and to contact just eat as it’s their issue. I then had to reorder my food, an hour later costing me £60 in total for two orders. I then contacted just eat, and was waiting 3 DAYS for a response, I also waited 2 HOURS on live chat to be refused my refund and told that they could confirm the code was given at the front door, if that’s the case why do I have photos of the contact number asking me for my code a minute after the order was placed? This company is beyond a joke and there is something VERY STRANGE going on with them. I won’t be using them again and advise other customers to STAY THE HELL AWAY.”

“Hi all Mcdonalds in Rock Retail Park Birkenhead have messed my order up again and again. If you order from the just eat app they have informed me I will not be getting a partial refund, so what was missing, A bid arch burger. Medium fries and a free medium fries plus no dips, I reported it straight away and was told no refund will be given, I paid for the food and did not get what I ordered. The customer service is shocking so now they are losing a customer.”

“I placed an order via Just Eat for a half chicken, costing £15. The food was never delivered. I contacted the restaurant, who informed me that they had handed the order to the delivery driver. They also stated that they did not know the driver personally, as he works for Just Eat. I attempted to contact Just Eat by phone but received no answer. Despite no delivery taking place, the order was marked as “delivered” on the Just Eat platform. No driver contacted me, nor did anyone arrive at the delivery location. I have sent several emails to Just Eat. The only response I have received is: “We have looked at the evidence and we are not going to pay the refund.” This is unacceptable, as I did not receive the goods for which I paid, and I have made multiple unsuccessful attempts to resolve the matter directly with both the restaurant and Just Eat. I request a full refund of £15 without further delay.”

“When everything is going well, this app works great. However, when something goes wrong, do not expect ANY great level of customer service. If you can get beyond the automated systems, the humans are stuck to a very strict script and will not deviate. They will ALWAYS side in the favor of the restaurant, and NOT YOU!! Even if food is delivered in a totally inedible state, and the restaurant manager promises a full refund... JustEat will NOT process it, no matter what you do!”

“I ordered through your app and the driver DROPPED my food on the ground outside my door, then tried to hand it to me. I refused it for obvious hygiene reasons. I received no food, no refund, and your support told me “there’s nothing we can do.” This is a serious breach of food safety. I expect a full refund. If not resolved, I’ll be reporting this to consumer protection agencies and sharing my experience across platforms.”

“Absolutely shocking service, I didn’t receive my order and they pretty much said I was lying over email. My order took 2 hours to het sent out at this point I had gone home and had a rider say he’d return the order to the restaurant clearly he didn’t love been scammed £18”

“Company has gone downhill when you order food it never gets delivered...the courier marks it as delivered and takes the food for themselves. When you complain they do nothing and don't get a refund...I do not recommend I will stick with uber eats from now on”

“Terrible service on four orders in the last 7 days. I was made to wait two hours over the estimated delivery time only to have the order cancelled by a courier well after the store had closed. Each order has been significantly late with items missing, some were marked out of stock whilst others I was still charged for but never received. I've had multiple drivers pick up the job and then drop it, wasting my time further and when I try to find an actual landline/human to talk to to rectify I'm directed to email. Myself, my partner and our family have used this service for years, with the occasional niggle, it's expected. But this is all in the space of a week, and when someone does respond it's the cookie cutter pre written nonsense, no genuine regret at having stolen money, (which is what it really is) or wasting hours of our time,which is by far the worst inconvenience. They don't want to fix things, they just want to take your money and fob you off. Well I'm reporting them to trading standards.”

“The courier failed to deliver my order, but kept it for them selves. They reported the order as "delivered", but failed to show any evidence to support this claim. The Just Eat live map showed the courier stopped about two hundred metres from my home, for several minutes, then the map went to "delivered", so the courier could then make off with the entire order. Just Eat are taking the courier's word, rather than mine, the customer, even though I have three witnesses as well. Absolutely atrocious service! Guess who will be using Uber Eats instead from now on!”
