Possibly the worst customer service, Service line gives a message that voice mail messages will not be answered then says you can leave a message for a return call if you do not wish to wait on hold???!!! Told me after numerous inquiries on why my order did not process I needed to fill out a form which I did but never received any confirmation. More inquiries, no response until I sent a message that said either refund or let me know the order is processing. The order was promptly canceled. Take my advice do not order from this company, you will just be wasting time and money.

I made a purchase but they sent me a different item. I contacted them requesting that they send me the item I ordered and paid for but they will not cooperate. I recommend that you find another company to purchase from, just not worth the hassle dealing with Optics Planet.

On July 24th I noticed a $127 charge on my credit card. I called Optics Planet to inquiry about the charge, they were not receiving phone calls so I went to their website and filled out a form stating that I did not order and to cancel the order immediately. On July 27th I received a notice stating that the item had shipped. I filed a complaint with my bank and upon their investigation they were advised that they had all of my personal information and that the item had been shipped, resulting in my clain being denied. As of October 1, 2020 I still have not received the item. What Optic Planets did was they provide a UPS tracking number and then have it forwarded to USPS. I filed a complaint with the postal service and after waiting 10 days and no reply I went to my post office who told me that the package was scanned and put out for delivery but was marked NO VALUE therefore the complaint wasn’t investigated and I am out of my money & the merchandise. I have called Optics Planet numerous times and after holding for long lengths of time told to leave name and phone number and still have not received a return call.

Horrible experience. I placed an order with Optics Planet nearly 3 months ago and still have not received it. Absolute refusal to respond to voicemails and emails. I receive only automated updates telling me they are no longer accepting phone calls, but no updates on ship dates. I finally cancelled my order and will never use Optics Planet again.

Stay away from this company!!!!! Optics planet used to be a reliable company. I can't say that any more. They hold my order and tell me that it's on order but if you go on their site, they say it is in stock. Pathetic

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. tried to order a bipod for hunting. They said it would be a 3 to 5 day delay on shipping. It's been a month and the order status still says "order is being fulfilled" so I cannot cancel the order or get in touch with customer service. I've sent several emails and they are not taking calls at this time. Total scam! Do not use this company.

If I could give them a negative rating-I would! Horrible customer service. I ordered items and paid extra for expedited shipping. I understand some places are still bouncing back from Covid, but after 7 months and no one manning phones, no -one returning phones calls?? All you get is the standard e-mail telling you Covid has slowed them down. B.S. Other companies are answering phones and returning e-mails.

They only offered USPS shipping to my location despite the known severe problems with their local USPS Distro Center. After the item became "lost," OP won't answer or return phone calls or reply to emails.

Last July 3rd I purchased a pair of binoculars at opticsplanet.com I chose this retailer because years ago I (uneventfully) bought another pair there, and the price was average. One month later, the parcel is lost somewhere “in transit” in the USPS network. No further information about parcel location or estimated date of arrival. The last “in transit” carrier update was on july 20, and according to Optics Planet policy, I’ll have to wait 20 more business days from that july 20, for them to start looking at the issue. That will be around mid august. Their customer support is good for nothing. Once the parcel is dispatched, contacting them is, besides very difficult, totally useless because they know nothing. I’ve found (too late), that there are many people with similar complaints and they are rating this retailer very low. To summarize: You buy an item that might or might not arrive after many weeks waiting. You can’t cancel the order and get your money back because it is in transit. It’s not wise to buy again this item elsewhere, because you might end up with two units, if the first one eventually arrives. They retain your money, waste your time, and if you were planning to use this product, say on a trip, forget about it.

They do not update their website say it's in stock not!! Lack of communication skills ,thats totally them!! I do not like to be treated like a fish!!

not sending order, says sent but Post Office still waiting on items. can't get through to anyone to cancel/get money back. terrible customer service.

It took Optics Planet one month to send me the wrong barrel. It took them another month to send me what I had originally ordered. I buy thousands of dollars of gun parts every month, and I will never purchase from Optics Planet again, EVER. I am hoping this review will save you from my experience of the worst customer service on the Plant. Buyer beware, you have been warned.

i ordered an IN STOCK item. Took them over a week to tell me that their suppliers is having trouble and cant ship it to them for 3 months. So it wasn't in stock then like they said. Bad business... Dirty Pool... just say it's out of stock like a professional company would so your customers (former) can plan accordingly. You're lack of respect for me and the waste of time you've caused costs me money. It causes me to be looked at in the same way i look at you. Irresponsible. don't blame covid. other companies have been back up to speed for weeks now. You lied and you need to be held responsible. I will now be using your competitors from now on and hope you get what you deserve.

TOTAL SCAM, FIRST THEY WANTED ME TO PAY TWICE, AFTER I "CONFIRMED" MY ORDER BY CHARGING ME $1.20 TO MY CREDIT CARD THEY PLACED A SECOND $856 HOLD ON MY CARD TYING UP $1700 FOR 5 DAYS FOR MY $800 PURCHASE. TEN DAYS LATER THEY STILL CAN NOT TELL ME WHY MY ORDER HAS NOT SHIPPED OR WHEN IT WILL INDEED SHIP. I CANCELED MY ORDER AND WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN AND WILL MOST DEFFINATELY SUGGEST ANYONE ELSE LOOKING TO ORDER FROM THEM TO GO ELSEWHERE!! HAD TO GET MY CC COMPANY INVOLVED TO GET A REFUND.

Hello, I have ordered 10 different items in the last few months from OP. I have had to wait as long as two months to receive some of the items they said were in stock. All of the items I ordered were at least double the posted wait time. I only ordered though OP, because they said the items were in stock. I asked for a discount on the item that was two months late and received 8%. It’s better then nothing, but not enough to keep my business. I am no longer going to shop from them.

Terrible customer support. Really no reason to order from them with so many others available. Shipping is very slow, they don't answer the phone or return messages either. Recently they sent out an email of excuses as to why they can't do their job...a perfect reason to go elsewhere IMHO.

My opinion is strictly not to purchase from this website. I placed a 400$ order for a build over a month ago, it has been in processing status since. I have called countless times and emailed to try to get any update on the status of my order. All i have received are two completely automated emails that give literally no information. I understand we are all busy and we are all dealing with this pandemic- but in-stock items dont take over a month to put in a box and ship. The worst part is- I can get no information on my order and also- can find absolutely no way to cancel my order now that its placed. I have to file a claim with my bank to get this money back. Fair warning....

I had only ordered from Optics Planet once before but have known of their reputation for years. My first experience was reasonable, good price, ok shipping. My next order has not gone so well. I ordered 4 different items at once so I could get the free shipping over $49.00. After a month of not receiving my order I cancelled it. The next day I got an email saying that all my stuff was back in stock, would I like to reinstate my order? I said yes and a couple of days later I got a shipping confirmation. It's been 2 weeks now, still don't have my stuff.
