Wish I could give negative stars. The absolute worst customer service and company policies I have seen. I would stay far away from this company.

I ordered ammo from Optic Planets. The website popped up a message, FREE RETURNS. The customer service person said, let me check to find the best ammo for your pistol. 60 rounds were great, just what I needed. Then there were 300 rounds of ammo that will not will not fire from my gun, over $50. When I called to return them, the customer service person said, oh we don't accept returns on ammo!!! Beware of Optics Planet!

I ordered "in stock" ammo in Oct 2020. Got a email confirming. Later that day said it is back ordered. After numerous emails (which I can provide) over the last almost 14 months saying they would ship it. They now will not honor the original order. Want me to pay an additional $500. How can i trust a company like that? Brad

It is approaching a year since I ordered .556 ammo. They recently advertised the ammo for sale, but refuse to fill my order due to the price when I ordered it or as they put it, "unable to offer a different SKU number for same price." Just more pressure to cancel my price before the big increase. I couldn't give half a star. I have received ammo promptly from Palmetto Armory(.556, 9mm, 12gauge) do yourself and favor and buy from them. SKU YOU OPTICS PLANET!

A year and still waiting. No logical explanation on reasons for the delay. Just “circumstances outside our control and we are unable to ship according to the original timeframe”. Very poor customer service and overall planning. I will spend my money elsewhere going forward.

Ordered ammunition in December 2020. I recognized, then and now, that there is a shortage and was prepared to wait a reasonable length of time. The lead time estimate at the time was, I think, about 4 - 6 weeks. Reasonable given the shortage so I placed the order. Since the original lead time estimate has passed the order continues to be moved out each time about 2 weeks or so before the previous lead time indication is on the website. I have called, I spoke to a very nice person who told me (I think it was June or July) that it would ship in a couple of weeks, I have emailed and gotten the company line "we are at the mercy of our supplier" so many times it seems to be a recording. I have tried live chat with similar results. I understand that the suppliers are also short on inventory. My point is that to miss so very many lead time estimates and continually to move the lead time just before the prior estimate said it would ship is one of two things. Either the Optics Planet is lying to customers about lead time or Optics Planet's supplier is lying to them, in which case a new supplier should be in order. In my case much of the ammunition on order is to be made by Aguila. According to Aguila Optics Planet is not a direct vendor for Aguila so I don't know who Optics Planet supplier might be. Whoever it is (and it would be interesting to know) there is a definite disconnect in the supply chain of Optics Planet. At this point I don't think I will order from Optics Planet in the future and I will likely not be that interested in Aguila, even though it is not from all appearances their fault. Bottom line do not rely on any estimate of lead time this company provides, based on almost a full calendar year waiting for product, the estimates cannot be trusted. Nor is the company to be trusted in my opinion.

Wrote customer service a question about any upcoming promotions they might have for the upcoming Veterans Day in 7 days from now. Asking because I was looking at a high dollar purchase. The response I received back was, if I were an account holder or member of optics planet I would know. Really? That's the response I get. Not no, we sure are, but you will have to wait and see or I'll check for you. I am veteran, retired Army. This is how they treat their veterans. Just check your emails for promos when they come out. And that was it.

RUN. This company shows one price, lets you order it, and then when they realize they can charge more for the item, they cancel your order... ONE YEAR after you order it. They are not responsive and will always send you a vague response. Want to talk to a human? Good luck.

I ordered ammo almost exactly one year ago. They kept stalling and coming up with excuses and finally cancelled my order after a year passed. Simply the worst company you could ever trust. Also, when you attempt customer service response by E-mail you get computer generated generic responses. Nobody actually tries to answer your shipping or order questions. They just blame production or shipping problems. Of course, the item is in stock on their listings but at a way higher price now...imagine that. Don't waste your time with this company.

Same issues as everyone else. They want your money so bad that they blatantly lie about inventory count and shipping delays. First purchase I made was not shipped for 2 months, so I canceled it and ordered from another vendor. That order arrived in 2 days from their competitor. OP shipped my 2+ months late order 5 days after I canceled it. I then had to ship it back, at my expense, to get my refund(which took another month). Second order was listed as "in stock"(not likely) and shipping 15-24 days. After 2 months, I blocked all transactions having to do with OP from my payment method. That did not keep them from attempting to charge me 4-5 times until they took the hint, almost 3 months from when I made the mistake of ordering from them for the last time. I finally blocked them from Chrome so I didn't have to see anymore of their lies in my search results. Just a horrible company that should never be at the top of any search results. You should pretend they just don't exist, as you will regret trying to save money by having them waste your time and money. Consider ordering from OpticsPlanet not to be an option, ever, for any price. You will regret it.

I ordered a complete upper in March with an estimate of 4-6 weeks to ship. Went with them because the manufacturer estimated 8-10 weeks. Delivery kept getting pushed back. I finally called them after 11 weeks of waiting and they told me I was 12th in line and I would get it in about 4 weeks (about 15 weeks total). It has now been 20 weeks since I ordered. Two days ago the delivery estimate changed again…to 36 weeks after I initially ordered and they told me I am now 10th in line. The kicker is that on the website the item is projected to ship in 1-4 business days. When I called customer service two days ago, a nice lady named Mildred tried to explain to me how lines work (like I’m an idiot) and told me that the estimate on the website is only an estimate and is not accurate. After the call I decided to order the item again to see what happens. The item I ordered that day shipped less than 24 hours later and the one I ordered in March (the exact same thing) is still projected to ship in November. Do yourself a favor and order your stuff from a different company. Optics planet is complete garbage and their customer service team lied. I will not give them any more of my money. There’s plenty of other companies that are actually trustworthy.

My order I ordered Nov 28 2020 order number 17342373 . They kept changing shipping dates every time it gets close to shipping it post to ship the 8/8/2021 . It's been 3 other times also and I already pay for it

Last time I use them, they just pinged my credit card for .01 and my bank called me. Now my freaking elled!!!!! Do you know how many aut business cc is cano bills I had set up on this!

Horrible company. Ordered a product which was listed as in stock to finish a AR buildout. After order was placed they changed it and the order would NOT be filled for 2 MONTHS!! That's only annoying, but what really ticks me off is that they won't allow me to cancel the order for parts they don't have!!!! NEVER, EVER do business with this sham company.

Took my money and never sent anything. Absolute crooks. If they do not like your email they will just stop dealing with you. Total assholes. Every rateing they get is one star and that to many. CROOKS! stay away

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Placed an order April 22 2021 and and it was supposedly in stock and would ship in 3 to 5 days. On April 29 went on line to check where the order was because I didn’t hear anything about tracking number and there was no order to be found. I had called 3 days in a row asking where was the order status I couldn’t find. Someone was to call back and let me know. Never got email or phone call until today 4/29/2021 advising me my order was canceled and there is still 2 more orders that they have not addressed. When calling they have disconnected the call twice and once told me to leave a message which the computer never took it. Stay away from this company they are bad from delivery times to NO customer service. Their prices are high the same as most of the companies you order from. You simply will never speak to a live person and their website is totally not functioning. If you cancel an item they have a disclaimer that they are behind with refunds and could take 3 to 5 weeks to get your money back, imagine that. They charge you credit card before shipping and have to wait for merchandise you will never get. Luckily I have Amex and will tell them not to pay because the order was cancelled. RUN AWAY FROM Optics Planet they are the PLANET OF THE APES

Ordered a product that was shown to be in stock and Checking Availability showed it would ship in 23 - 32 days. Different colors of the same product were all on backorder. A couple of days after the order was placed it changed to 100 plus days. I understand that things happen. I could wait. 45 days later, it shows shipping to be delayed for over 250 days from when it was ordered. I got on the site and found another configuration that again showed in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. A different color on backorder but not the one being ordered. So I place the order. The next day this new order shows shipping over 200 days as well now. Well, I go back to the item on the site and it is still showing that it is in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. It is not backordered or nothing stating that shipping will be delayed. So I reach out to Customer Service. Just wanting to understand what happened. And to let them know that something may be broken. Yes I am frustrated. I explain the situation. The Agents gives me the song and dance that the manufacturer is behind. I explain that my complaint has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the Bait and Switch of telling me and other people right at this very moment that you can ship in 23-32 days when you cannot. AGent did what he was trained to do and towed the company line. etc... However, it did not resolve anything. I am sure this Agents leadership at Optics Planet has no interest in knowing that they are either misrepresenting themselves (nice way of saying lying) or a system is broken and not updating correctly (assuming they have integrity). Due to the Agent not offering to pass on info, or unable to offer any solution as my complaint was the misrepresentation. The culture there is for the Customer Service people to just be a barrier between the customers and leadership. So just shut up and give us your money.

This handgaurd is not made by spikes tactical. It is made by unique handgaurds. As stated by the other review. Customer service not good either. Do not buy!! Advertised as 2 day shipping which took 3 days to arrive. Not as big of deal so much as the false advertising. Plus showed up damaged, and when talking about returns, they are talking about 2 week waiting time!!! Ridiculous.

Company continues to fall behind in order processing, non-responsive to questions, admittedly so in their own words. If you can get it elsewhere, do it. Hopefully, they'll find some adults to put in charge before failing.
