“Do not use this awful company. I placed an order for 16 packets of Lavazza coffee and received one packet of a different coffee. It took me over an hour waiting on the phone, and via the virtual assistant, to talk to anyone about this. I was then told I had to waste even more time taking and uploading a photograph of the incorrect item that had been delivered, and arrange to be in for a courier to come and collect the incorrect item. Not until all that had been done, would I receive my original order. I have wasted nearly £80, and still not got what I ordered, and I can not now cancel my order as it is marked as delivered. Customer service??? What customer service?”
“Be careful ordering from this site. If you are supplied with a faulty item you can forget a refund and even though you are promised resolutions by the Customer Service Team this never happens and you are left out of pocket. I have had to escalate this to an outside complaints to try and get my money back.”
“I went into rubber dies in George Strait 1145 today and this woman she was huffing and puffing when I ask her I want to send some money abroad. What happened to good customer service!! Sounds like she can’t be bothered to do her job”
“I ordered a shed in January which was delivered in February, the doors were too small but an easy fix so did not complain, however, at the beginning of may it started to fall apart and at this point in time there are several loose split slats on the back panel, frayed wood on the framework and one of the doors has split and shards of wood have fallen off. Suffice to say it is no longer watertight.
I have been back and forth with RD since May and apart from the first few emails I have had different names on their returning emails and lots of quoted legislation that fits their narrative of what their responsibilities are. I even emailed them a letter given to me by trading standards and again received their own version of legislation, the result is I have had to accept replacement back panel and right hand door as they have refused to refund me the cost or replace the whole shed even though they stated that the shed was not viable for repair!

“Horrible customer service all round. I made a typo on the online order so my email address was wrong. In trying to get them to let me know the order number and delivery date I had to send several emails and phone them. They can save this issue by doings what others do and get you to insert your email twice!
Then the info given to me for tracking was not recognised by Tufnells. So no tracking possible.
Then the delivery of a BBQ was done by a lady plus a 5yr old with no equipment. She naturally could not move the box because of the weight. Somehow she dragged the box off the van, moved it onto the shared driveway by upending it. When she knocked on the door my wife tried to help but all they could do was move it out of the way of vehicles.
When assembling the next morning surprise surprise it was damaged. Now 24hrs later still no response from Robert Dyas.
Over the last three years I have bought dozens of things online fir work and home and thus is the worst service of all!”

“I Paid for next day delivery £20 not turned up bought as present for my son sent to his address in his name but I paid for it as a surprise, rang customer service they said as it was in his name they couldn’t tell me where it is !!

“I purchased an arbour garden seat. I managed to get a carpenter to assemble today. First, I would like to say it’s not easy to assemble.. second the quality is really cheap and flimsy. Very badly made with rough timber and quite wobbly when fully erected. I am really disappointed in the quality and when I sit in it I feel it’s going to fall to bits. I would not recommend this to any one if you are thinking about buying one. It’s definitely not worth the money. Please don’t be tempted to order one, you will really be disappointed.”
“I purchased a Furniture To Go wardrobe through Robert Dyas and this will be the first and last time using the company.
I had a problem with the wardrobe (apart from the poor quality) where the holes were drilled into the wrong side of the top panel. Called FTG who advised 3 weeks for a new part. I didn't have time to wait that long so advised to contact Robert Dyas for a refund. Long story short, was told I'd need to email photos and box up all the parts until they were uplifted, I didn't have the space for so realised it would be easier to drill holes in myself so deleted photos and contacted Robert Dyas to explain. Well, multiple emails back and forth between different advisers who have asked for different things as haven't read full communication chain. One adviser suggested a partial refund the then the next advisor was extremely patronising in telling me how to retrieve deleted photos. Inefficient and unreliable customer service, will no be using again.
Avoid all the Copenhagen furnitue as well as over priced and cheap quality.”
“We had a dreadful experience with Robert Dyas. We ordered the Kailua lounge set a month ago and it was due to arrive in early August. A few weeks after our order the price went up by 25%. Then yesterday completely out of the blue our order was cancelled because it was out of stock. Amazingly you could still order the same item with a longer wait time. I phoned Robert Dyas and they claimed this was a mistake and the item would be pulled from the website. Surprise, surprise I can still order the same item today. I said I would happily wait longer but customer services said that wasn’t possible as they are unsure if stock will come in again. It’s a complete con. Stay well clear”

“Ordered garden bench to ne delivered on set day - took day off work, waited in all day and no bench. Had to cancel order as i work and cannot have item delivered when company feels like it ( parcelforce tried unsuccesfully to deliver it the following day and again 2 days later - which is why I paid extra for set day delivery.
Nightmare trying to get a refund - have been told on several occasions this will be in my account within 3 days.
13 days later they still have £147 of my heard earned money. Tried their Chat facility again today - was told complaints are dealt with by head office and the Chat operators have no communication with them! Appalling system and service.”
