I returned an oven housing kit (still in its delivery packaging) to the Plymouth branch on the 26th of March after Travis Perkins did not deliver the item on time. I was promised a refund within a few days by the Plymouth branch. I sent numerous emails chasing along with phone calls when I checked my bank balance and could not see the returned funds. I only finally managed to receive a refund on the 4th of June, which breached the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Travis Perkins’ own Conditions of sale whereby a refund should have been issued within a maximum of 14 days (9th of April) following the return of the unopened goods purchased online. Travis Perkins were totally disorganised, unprofessional and kept purporting that a refund had already been issued despite providing evidence that it had not been received. I was disappointed that after admitting their errors, Travis Perkins were unwilling to offer a gift card or some other goodwill gesture. I will not use TP again and I would recommend checking your bank account if you have returned goods and check that TP have actually returned the funds.

My wife works for travis Perkins, she now works from home. My bills have increased and I never have a moment away from her work life and work calls and can’t actually enjoy my own home now thank you so much! Mr Fed up

I ordered several items from Travis Perkins Fleet at the end of March 2021. All were delayed or had issues. I understand some of the delays due to COVID-19 and supply/demand. However, I was also dealing with B&Q, other suppliers (FirePit UK, Forest Garden, etc) at the same time and they kept me informed if there were delays and were professional. The last items (patio slabs) I needed had come in last week and I was informed every day that they would be delivered (Monday, Wed and Thursday). I was planning installation based on the information provided and despite chasing each day they never deliver or worse still never contacted me to inform me that things are delayed or wont turn up. The repeated failure to deliver and lack of communication is terrible and it means I would never use Travis Perkins again. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid the Fleet branch of TP.

Don't bother, go elsewhere, customer service poor, never return phone calls, avoid disappointment try another builders merchant

Travis Perkins need to seriously invest in customer service training. I left feeling humiliated and that I was some kind of nuisance. Arrived and parked by the reception to collect an order (just some breeze blocks). Staff at the counter gave me my receipts and told me to go to "the yard". So I walked into the yard - lots of staff around but all ignored me. I went up to one to explain I was here to pick up an order, he sighed looked as my receipt and told me to park in a bay. So I did that. Again once parked was ignored. I then again grabbed a staff member - who then looked at me like I was the biggest idiot on the planet. He pointed vaguely to the other end of the yard and said "they're over there" and scoffed. Like I was supposed to know where they keep their stock. Obviously it was up to me to collect my own order from their stock (even though I was sent a email saying it was "ready for collection" . So I drove around to another area. Again ignored. Eventually a staff member came over - looked at my receipt again and pointed to a pallet (there were lots of different types of blocks). He stood there watching me load my car. When he eventually picked up two blocks in his hands - he then stood there talking to his mate whilst I waited for him to put them in my car. Q: why didn't the desk staff tell me where to go, Why didn't the first guy tell me where to go, why did I have to wait around for someone to deem to help me, how was I to know where they keep their stock, why send me an email saying my order is ready when it isn't - it's just sat in their stock where I have to divine where it is. When I am actually being served I don't expect the staff to have a conversation with their mate leaving me waiting around. All in all I felt humiliated and that I was "not in the club" as I didn't know "the rules". They seamed totally unprepared to serve a customer and that it was a strange concept to them. There is no contact on TP site to complain

Offerd to pay with cash and very poor response stating they only really accept card but when challenged saying it was legal tender they said they could not refuse but didn't really want it as it would need sanitising 4 times !!!!!! Very unhelpful in the yard not wanting to do anything apart from write blue slip out I won't bother going again , I usually go to Parton's in Wolverhampton normally but it was out of way , they are a proper company who look after their customers and Excell in their business !!

Placed order worth several hundred pounds and had delivery confirmed, paid all in full and took day off work accordingly. Delivery never arrived, no answer from telephones and useless email response. How do companies with this level of poor service survive???

I have placed an order from this company for some sample brick slips for delivery. The money was taken from my account for the order but no email confirmation given. I contacted customer services and they did not have anything on their records of the order I placed. They have basically stole money from my account and now I have to try to find a way to get a refund!. An email has been sent to customer services with the screen shot of the bank transfer and im waiting for an explanation.

Complete joke from start to finish . Wouldn’t even give them one star . Used the stores for years and been great but first order online for a gas meter box . First one delivered to my house had to wait in all day as no delivery time just 8-6 turned up at 5.30 and was damaged no packing in the box and had been battered by the delivery company contacted and told oh we will send another tomorrow so two more days to wait and I will make sure it’s packaged correctly this time and it’s going to be an all day wait again again . I had it sent to the Bracknell store to save me waiting all day and so the one to return could be given to them and no call or contact at all went in Friday morning to collect asked if it was checked and not damaged told yeah it’s fine. I arrive at costumers after a half hour drive and take it out and the second one sent no packaging and is even more damaged than the first unreal . I tried to contact tp and no answer did call back and went back to store finally got a call back I spoke to Oliver just went round and round as Johnny was in a meeting left the gas box with the store and told Johnny would call me back in half hour. two hours later I called back and again no answer so used called back again and half hour later I got a call back and by luck was Johnny who didn’t even know who I was and needed all my details again I said you we’re supposed to be contacting me hours ago he said oh I didn’t know that . I was offered a third attempt at replacing despite me having already said I wanted a refund and was told it was being done on Monday and said for a trade company they have no clue what they are doing and I just wanted a refund and would go somewhere else . I was told by Johnny he had asked the warehouse to put packing but they must not have to which I said so letting another get damaged and mess a customer about no answer . I said I just want a refund and ended the call. I have had to mess my customer about and left looking bad on me as they can’t sort out a simple delivery and left out if pocket as well just a complete joke and Johnny clearly didn’t care at all

Just had an order delivered by Billy what a gent travis perkins s you really do go an extra mile with service Billy unloaded a d then put it in my shed for me as hubby recovering from a cancer operation he really was a lovely guy I think you have benchmarked for other companies my order no was Travis Perkins order: F83040 Dear Heather Order confirmed for delivery on 25 Nov between 07:00-13:00 Service requests have been accommodated Thank you Billy

ordered some stuff on a monday ( paid cash ) for thursday delivery,anytime i said as long as i know AM or PM,called am was told be mid to late morning,no show,called again to say early to late afternoon..still waiting and little did they know im a transport manager and tried to fob me off with all sorts of excuses.........non existent customer services

Your website stated that if I purchased a shed shown as 'in stock' it would be delivered within 30 days. You have now advised that it will take considerably longer for the item to be delivered. This means you misrepresented yourself on your website, which I can only see as a method of gaining money using false promises. This is disgusting behaviour. You should not lie in order to gain sales.

Mat at Nottingham branch is an amazing customer service advisor he went extra mile to deliver my goods on time. He is always professional, helpful and polite. He is asset to Travis Perkins I hope he is rewarded for all his hard-work and his dedication to his customers which is outstanding. Many thanks to Mat 😊

Disgusting. No communication when delivery is changed. Cannot find you on the system when you complain but manage to cash the cheque of over £360 without problem. Disappointing when you have arranged everything and people to erect the shed etc.

I ordered a Shed in July and was told delivery could not be delivered until September I agreed to this. Invoice arrived stating 7th September so I arranged everything.m existing Shed would be taken down the day before etccetc I rang on 3rd to confirm delivery to be told No delivery would not be until end of September no commication. ALL my organising taking shed down, ordering skip for removal, people building new one etc etc. Disappointed was not the word, no apologises.

Don’t answer phones, turn non-trade away at gates, ignore their customers. If you’re in the Petersfield area use WKL: They answer phones immediately and are open to the public - unlike TP

Poor communication about delivery, non-supportive customer service, let down customer, careless staff. I ordered three bags of gravels and after 9 days I am still waiting for to be delivered. I spoke with the manager of the Eastleigh group and received empty promises with no success. Untrustworthy service, avoid at all cost!
