I’ve been a buyer/seller of Vestiaire Collective since 2015. Unfortunately VC is not what it used to be, their quality department cannot differentiate fake from authentic items. They are not trustworthy anymore. I’m cancelling my account and I would advise anyone not to buy anything from them, their customer support is the worst.

I received the bag in very poor condition, which was not reflected either in the description or in the photo. I bought it from a Professional Seller. The right says that I have the right to return. I was asked about the reason for the return and asked to send photos. I sent many photos. In the photo, everything was visible, as plain as day. VC started playing as a bad actor and writing that they couldn't see ANYTHING. And they stopped answering me

Terrible customer service! First, the (professional) seller has been ignoring me for 10 days now, and the customer service can’t do anything about it lol. Then, the customer service tells me that the discount code on 120€ off will be valid until 17 November (for another week) which turned out to be a lie because the discount expired at midnight while I was still waiting for the seller‘s response on my offer)!!! Now I have neither the discount, nor the offer from the seller (still not reply!!). I tried to reach to customer service to ask why they lied to me about the validity of the discount code and therefore deprived me of the opportunity to get the discount on the bag I’ve trying to buy now for 2 weeks, and they stopped replying!!! At least accept that you screwed up and lied to the customer. What is wrong with this platform? They track customer’s data (you activity what you put into favourites and your bag) and send them stupid FAKE notifications such as „the seller is ready to drop their price to X“ - don’t believe these messages because they are not true (I read about it and also know myself as the seller had rejected that price offer before that notification came in, so there is NO WAY „the seller is ready to drop their price to X“). They just try to make you anxious and purchase immediately! Don’t believe it. Not the first time I have terrible experience with Vestiaire Collective. If not this particular bag, I would have never returned to this platform.

I don’t those who work or run this company how can you fall asleep every night, This is more than a depressing and manipulative company who exploited the users to the maximum but shamefully try to escape all the responsibilities, yes that’s their first and only agenda, if I choose to let them go is because our life deserves other good courses more than thousands pounds and endless battle and fighting with this unconscionable company. As we all know selling on Vinted they provide the label in the majority of the occasions, charge the minimum fee, they take care of the whole process, if the items not getting any updates during the transit buyers will got refund in the timeframe, sellers would got equal amount of compensation, they protect both parties equally and carefully, selling on Depop you can choose the courier by yourself or shipping with Depop, if I find the shipper by myself I’m in contact with the courier all the time easy communication or choosing insurance etc. But on this VC, they are just manipulating, using the label they create, I have no choice but to go with it, but when the courier lost it hundreds of pounds item, they are burying their head in the sand, they said I should contact the shipper by myself they’re not responsible for this, but I’m selling on YOUR PLATFORM, I don’t have any protection any reassurance, PLEASE RETURN MY MONEY OF SALE or RETURN MY ITEM OF sale # 30044485, # 31053891 # 29865171 # 36565019 #36565286 #35702994 #35679116 #34870352 #36068651 #36068400#36671143

So I sold several items to the same buyer and shipped them the same day from the same parcel shop, all were shipped on the 11th, 1st item arrives within 4 days on the 15th, 2nd arrived and was picked up on the 21st but their system has not updated for a whole day, it was a total mess, apparently it was returned to me, then it was delivered but it took ages, the 3rd item is sitting at their delivery hub for 4 days now with a message they are going to deliver the next working day. Their customer support is absolutely clueless and not interested, they keep on asking me if the buyer has confirmed receipt, and they will ask the buyer to tell me they have it, that is not the issue, the issue is that their system does not update, so the 72 hours don't start, the item doesn't show as delivered, but the customer support bot Aiza Sophia (possibly a fake name anyway) doesn't seem to grasp the simple concept..... This is really a freaking horror show, all parcels dropped off at the same Evri shop, all dropped off at the 11th, now is the 22nd. So there is a company who deals with luxury items, however they have only untrained staff, use the cheapest and nastiest couriers they can find, if said couriers lose or damage your item, they give you a royal run around and try their best to avoid paying out. On the other hand Vestiaire takes a massive cut but tries to get you to sell your items for peanuts.

It’s been 50days since I ordered and no item no refund. The CS keep saying they are waiting for the carrier to answer them. It’s impossible to refund me before they get an answer from carrier. It’s more than 8000usd. What if the carrier never answers them? The CS is horrible. The chat on their platform doesn’t even answer me anymore.

Vestiaire is there to reap you off big time. I have recently sold my Cartier tank watch and Vestiaire just changed my offering price without my consent and I only found out when they sent me my amount. I have been asking for HKD8100 and they changed my offering price to HKD7055 after I sent out my watch. They refused to send me back my watch and their customer service staff just emailed me their 19 pages of terms and agreement. Their staff clearly was extremely unhelpful and tried to brush off any complaints. They also reap people off on the exchange rate. I have screenshot the conversation with the buyer and found that the exchange rate was 20% more than market rate.

If somebody makes a low ball offer in DMs and you decline and point out that offers are switched off and that you mention you do not take offers, they will not accept that and keep on and on and you block them, they will then make nasty comments on your items like @amelia2810 does under about several different incarnations, currently she also goes as @saada15890675 so if you do not agree to sell for a ridiculous price, she then will put nasty messages under your items, VC is not responding at all, I pulled the items, I rather give them to charity than to that cheap ... b... who is like a freaking magpie and thinks you need to give her items for next to nothing. Maybe she should not look at designer but at Tesco bags for life! Not a snob but if you only got 20, Vestiaire is not the place where you should shop

I sold a Halston dress on Vestiaire, I packaged it carefully, I was also sure in my description to mention the small flaw, posted promptly, included a letter where I wished the seller some lovely occasions to wear the dress, the size was given as a 10, Halston Heritage uses US sizing, but since it came rather small, I made sure to give the measurements. I don't hear from the seller, there is no confirmation and no payout, it seems to be stuck on "waiting for confirmation" so I contact VC and they say the seller claimed that she received something else. I have over 100 sales on VC in the 4 years I am with them, I have heard those horror stories but so far was always lucky with my buyers, that was before I had the misfortune of selling to Zondani Koliswa, I googled and surprisingly she seems to have a lot of issues and is banned from some resale platforms, she also always has items sent to a convenience store, it seems that people who dealt with her before have even dedicated to facebook to warn others. In the future I will certainly do a deep web search for names before I send anything out with direct shipping again! I am trying to get information from Vestiaire how to protect myself against fraudulent buyers and to ask what does she claim she got, I sent her this dress, I know because it was very difficult to pack, the slinky rayon jersey was really difficult to fold, I packed it in white tissue paper, then used a strong plastic mailing envelope, it is 100% the dress she bought, but the problem with direct shipping is that fraudulent buyers can switch items, or cause a damage to force a return. Anyway, I have asked Vestiaire so far 8 times what I can do to avoid this, how can I protect myself from fraudulent buyers? Why did you not inform me? So far I only get generic replies, apparently they are looking into it, oh ffs, it can't be that difficult to tell me how I can protect myself? Seriously, if there is no way to protect myself, the please remove the direct shipping option, before I give some fraudster my expensive items, I rather donate them to a charity!

I sold and item via Vestiaire, they provided me with an UPS label, the parcel was returned to me, they claimed the address was missing, which it a total joke, as New Arthur Place in Edinburgh is a street, a quick google search: New Arthur Place Edinburgh EH8 9TH New Arthur Place is a Street in Edinburgh with the postcode of EH8 9TH which measures approximately 39 metres long. Funny how the UPS driver couldn't recognize a street because it is called place! I lost a sale on Vestiaire due to an incompetent UPS driver, and due to the incompetence of the Vestiaire staff who plainly didn't contact UPS or the buyer! So basically I lost a sale due to their cheap and incompetent delivery service, I have been begging them to get in touch with UPS and the buyer as Vestiaire is the UPS customer, Vestiaire has done NOTHING, for weeks!

This is getting a real joke, an item I bought myself from Vestiaire and sold after using once (it was too bright silver for me) is now rejected by Vestiaire as a "not for sale item" despite labeling it clearly, having it bought from there, I mentioned in the description that it is the perfume bag, it went through their curation or whatever they call it, at least they claim they have curation, now it is being returned! The picture their ridiculous service sent me is almost identical to one of the pictures I put on there. I am not sure if they are rolling the dice or what is happening!

So I sold a Burberry bag, shipped with UPS, however there seems to be an issue with the buyer's address, since I can't reach out to the buyer, I TRIED to contact Vestiaire, I tried to email however if you go on their FAQ contact site and try to get through, you can't even send them an email, I tried on several browsers, 2 different Macs, NOTHING. So I bite the bullet and go to live chat, which is usually dreadful, finally the chat works on one Mac and the quality of replies is ridiculous. I go past the bot and talk to some Franck T who's ability seems to be limited to giving auto replies and not even reading. Since UPS couldn't deliver and needs an address confirmation, I suggested that since they have the contact details (I only get the label and attach it to the parcel) of the buyer on file, they should contact the buyer regarding the requested address confirmation. After getting 5 long auto replies about a totally different issue, Franck T finally comes back and tells me "You should ask the UPS about this, which address needs to be confirmed" - seriously, there is an issue with delivery to the buyer, which address does this genius think needs to be confirmed? Obviously the delivery address. I mentioned 3 times to please let them know that there is an issue with sending them eMails via the FAQ contact me site, ignored, then he leaves chat..... The level of "customer service" is amazing basically ZERO, which also seems to be the IQ of their agents and the quality of their IT. My sister sold 2 items that went with FedEx, one arrived with a 3 week delay, the other one is out for delivery (since a 2 week delay) since the 18th, apparently on the van and out for delivery, she was fobbed off by their customer service to talk to FedEx while FedEx then comes back and says the shipper is Vestiaire, but Vestiaire doesn't do anything about it....

I actually cant explain how horrendous the customer service is at Vestiaire. I sold a lovely designer top, in excellent condition to a buyer in Germany, she had received it for 2 days before saying there was an issue with it. I was a little confused as I knew I had sent this out in immaculate condition. When I finally received the top back, it had been ruined by the buyer. It was dry clean only, and had clearly been put through the wash straight away, and as it was wool it had become shrunk and shriveled and just looked awful. I had basically been scammed. Obviously I try to contact Vestiaire (ha!). They have no phone lines whatsoever, only chat boxes. I tried to explain the situation in the chat box with someone, providing plenty of pictures for evidence of the top I received back. Firstly it takes days for an agent to reply, I only ever seem to be able to talk with one particular agent called Emma, never anyone else that is available. That seems absolutely ridiculous to me, that I can only speak with 1 person!!! Shes not helpful at all, and told me I need to send the top back to Vestiaire again so they can check it. As if the before and after pictures weren't enough. I've now been sent a DHL label that isnt valid, no drop off points will take it so I cant even send it. Still having no reply from anyone at Vestiaire regarding this. Buyer looks like she has her money back, nothing has happened to her and i've been completely scammed and no one at this company is willing to help me. Its absolutely disgusting. It had made me so thankful for eBay, where you can speak with someone rational on the phone 24/7, and would protect sellers in this instance as well as there being huge consequences for any buyer that did this. Vestiaire get your act together, this is a shambles and you should be embarrassed about how you operate. Thanks for absolutely nothing

Terrible first (and last) experience on this website. Price was displayed in Euros since it's the currency on my account. I made an offer to a seller, which was accepted in EUROS! Once at the checkout page, PayPal, which was an option offered as a method of payment, was disabled and I could not click on it. Moreover, there was no option available for installment payments as advertised on their website so the only option for me was to pay upfront with card or Alipay... But this is not the most surprising part! The climax of my customer experience happened when the price (that I was supposed to pay in euros) magically switched in dollars on the invoice. I did not immediately notice that from euros to dollars, there was a difference of more than $60. Since I have a US bank account, I used my US card and billing address but immediately reached out to the support to get a refund of the price difference. They just denied the issue, did not take any responsibility, and just ignored my refund request. I asked to cancel the order, they answered they could not do anything but try to reach out to the seller. This is so bad! This company is stealing and cheating customers out of money by changing the currencies behind their back. This is theft!

I sold a woman’s handbag on their website. Immediately after receiving the item, the customer opened a case and I received by email that the sale was cancelled. When I contacted them they told me that there was a difference between the pictures in the ad and the product and sent me pictures that the customer sent them. Of course didn’t have difference between the advert and pictures from the customer , but they hadn't bothered to look at the pictures. After realizing that they made a mistake, they told me to send the bag to them and they would immediately make a payment upon receipt. But after they received the item they said that they needed 2-3 days to review the bag and stopped responding to my messages.

I am not sure where to start, 1st of all there seems to be no customer service, then they use the cheapest carriers, with the result that items disappear, to get them to investigate is a horrendous experience, the people they call customer service seem to be unable to read, or maybe they are simply not bothered? Items get lost left right and center with the delivery people they use, you write to them that a parcel hasn't moved for ages, you sent it on such and such date, they want to you to confirm you haven't received it (when you say you are the seller/sender they reply to you as the buyer), then they want all sorts of documents, like IDs in unencrypted eMails, which is super risky, but the bots at VC do not care, also the delivery services do not require this as VC is the one who issues the labels. I am honestly now shivering if I have to send something via their cheap and nasty carriers, I literally know NOBODY as (not a single person) who has not lost an item or several, they eventually will pay, but that often takes 2 months. Their chat feature is horrible, you get people requesting all sorts of inappropriate things, sexual harassment is rife, if you do not reply you get insults, however a friend of mine was blocked from chat as Evri has lost a parcel, the buyer wanted to know what goes on, so my friend told them their delivery service seems to have lost it, she has eMailed VC about it, the word eMail is enough to get you a ban. Also in VC you can see if an item was sent and track it there, apparently their "service bots" do not care, I bet none of them works for VC and it is all outsourced and that is why you get this horrendous quality! My latest incident was with somebody who asked all sorts of questions and measurements that were in the description, when I politely said that all the measurements are in the description, would she bother to read it please, I got this reply: "That’s Helpful! Hope you can loose the obese weight - you look real fat and ugly in your profile" While this doesn't bother me, I replied that I hope she gets new glasses soon, there is another issue: I am aware there are a lot of young people on the platform and such a comment might harm their self-esteem and possibly could also cause an eating disorder, so I reported her comment. The reply was ridiculous: "I come back to you about your chat ban request. After checking, you're not banned from the buyer/seller chat. However, some of your contacts are banned, that's why you're unable to communicate with them. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Have a lovely day, Camille, Vestiaire Collective" I also provided screen shots of this. Seriously, VC is turning into a joke! Maybe Vestiaire could train Camille to be able to read, as her ability to press autoreply is more miss than hit....

The worse service ever .. NOT EXPERTS AT ALL .. same items form my Italian account they sold without doubt and same items from my polish account they refused .. DONT TRUST THEY DONT HAVE EXPERTS I would be worry to buy any item from them !!! All my items are 100% original and they are not able to verify and NOT ONLY ME have same problem .

I sold a prada bag. and I sent it to them for authenticity check. At the authenticity check they told me they wanted additional documents to be sure! As the originality control team is checking, they must not have opened the bag and looked at it. Inside the bag, inside the small envelope, there is the authenticity card that the prada store gave me. On the authenticity card, there is a stamp that it was bought from Istanbul Turkey Prada Zorlu store and the date of purchase. But because they did not open the bag and look at it, they asked me for additional documents :) I have been trying to get an answer for an original bag for 6 days. They say they will get back to you within 24 hours, but there is no one to respond to me! no one answers me from live chat. I made a sale here, but I can neither get an answer nor my money. this is a disgrace and no one is helping!!!!!!!!!

Most ridiculous service in the world, I bought a balenciaga sweatshirt#19816956 with 265 euros and paid 15 euros for the "expert control", but what I received was obviously a counterfeit, it has a tag 40 euros on it, and a plastoc the washing label, but the service refuses to reimburse me because "it conforms to the description of the seller", that is to say that even if it is obviously visible it is a counterfeit, but at the unless it conforms to the seller's description, MDR, Ive reached the DGCCRF and I hope that your shitty service and your ridiculous "authenticity control" will be sanctioned.

Was sold a fake Burberry Backpack that went through their authentication process which we pay for. I immediately chatted with them to provide photos and the reasons why bag is fake and provided a list with 8 items basically doing their job. Had to fight to get a return label and shipped back the next day and have been fighting with them ever since to get a refund. They pay the seller and don’t want to be stuck with the fake bag so they are dragging their feet.

Scammer alert Emma Hamilton from Paris France 24 Avenue charles floquet bought a bag by direct shipping. She claimed the bag was not real although 2 other authenticators (legitgrails authenticatefirst) said it is. A week goes by I have to chase my bag and finally Vestiairecollective said that the bag is authentic. She does this to probably get her few euros back so if you dont want to hassle never buy or sell anythung from her.

I never received my package and tried to send them the info they requested via email but it would not go through. Requested a good email from several representatives never received it but several representatives contacted me via text but still I was charged for a package again I never received. I sent the info via text because no good email was given just bad terrible customer service just horrible and too say the least I have purchased from them before and that was ok but now im so disappointed. I won't be purchasing anymore. The delivery service said it was dropped of in the office I work in the office where live and no package was delivered because it would have been given to me.
