Update. So after speaking to customer service I'm upgrading to a 3 star review. They are definitely one of the easiest to buy from and their customer service is very good. I would recommend downloading a guide before you travel though in case you have issues using it. So it was easy to buy. Setting it up was a painful experience. Setting it up on instructions provided by easysim was difficult as the qr code they provided wouldn't scan properly due to its shape. However I was able to get past all those and set it up.

I have also checked our support platform and I cannot see any help requests from you which is a shame. Great concept, but needs improvement in a couple of areas:- I never knew how much data I'd used on a daily basis. (It would be great to have an app that shows usage from your allowance.) It would also be useful to have calling other than through WhatsApp. I'd be willing to pay extra for this facility, perhaps an allowance for minutes, as with data. Introduce these changes and I'd rate at 5*. However I will use easySim for my next USA trip regardless.

You can also top up from there and we have a 'Help' button for the fastest response to any enquiry. As you mentioned, calls and messages are available using apps such as whatsapp and facetime right now. Hi Caroline, Thank you for your review and I can see you used your data bundle so I am delighted our data eSIM worked for you. I have checked our support platform and I cannot see any help requests from you which is a shame. We would have explained that our eSIM is data only and not designed for traditional calls and SMS but you can make and receive calls using apps like WhatsApp and Facetime as these use data. If you need to make or receive calls using your mobile/cellular number, you can leave your Primary (home) SIM selected for calls and SMS but your home network provider may charge you for calls and SMS while roaming. Seems incredibly slow when using a VPN. Purchase and installation were easy.

In the west of Pula (Istrien, part of Croatia) near the beach there was really slow data connection, that partly even livestreams (Olympia) stopped regularly: „good“ signals, but slow LTE connections from the provider!

Used it mainly for Apple CarPlay while driving around in the US as everywhere had WiFi in the Disney area. But it never let me down.

We have 3 versions for iOS and Android - Summary, Step by Step and Manual Method instructions. We also try very hard to strike the balance between adequate information and too much information. I have checked your eSIM and I can see you installed it without any help from our support as I cannot see any requests for help from you. I read all.the blurb and checked my phone compatibility and the Sim.did not work after i bought it while ww wwre in the USA. However, my child used it and it was good. Next time I will.putchase it before I fly and ensure it works

Good idea if you want data as you arrive in a country. I wanted Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo & Serbia. Whilst travelling my data ran out however the bundle I originally bought was no longer available. With easysim I would have to then buy separate packages per country rather than as a bundle. I therefore bought local in country sims, which turned out massive cheaper.

Couldn't get it to work but I am not tech savvy. The company responded to my bad review and has refunded my money. I like the idea and travel so I really want this to work. I will try again on my next trip and will contact them if I can't figure it out.

You can use imessage with easySim but your iPhone must have been trying to send imessage via your Primary SIM. If you had reached out to us, we could have resolved that in minutes. Really easy to download - when there was signal it was great however i found the 4g very patchy (in vietnam). My partner was paying a premium for data through his normal provider so that we could have data when we needed it as it was quite unreliable. He seemed to get data everywhere but easysim was limited to busy cities/towns.

Easy purchase. easy install. Worked 50% of the time. Worked in Singapore didn't work in Malaysia Worked in Thailand didn't work in Vietnam.

I purchased this for cruising in Asia visiting Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand & Malaysia. The sim only worked in Malaysia & was of no use to me. I purchased 10gb and on return contacted Easysim who could tell I had only used over half a gb and gave me a full refund. The service on return was good but no explanation as to why it didn’t work in the other countries I visited. Unfortunately I was unable to contact Easysim when on holiday,

I tested the esim travel simcard in my home country Germany. at the time of testing it offered the best no frills esim deal if you need a moderate amount of data. I got 3gb for 8 Euros for 30 days. I was booked into the vodafone network most of the time, but speeds were rather slow. I am not referring to download speeds, but instead reaction time speeds, despite full signal strength. oh well. What bothered me was that there is seemingly a DNS filtering active that I was not able to influence. For example, I was not able to use the Edeka app which I use for payment in Edeka supermarkets in Germany. if I switched to wifi or my primary sim card (local Telekom), there was no problem using the app at the same time and location. All in all okay, for email, surfing, whatsapp etc. but other travel esim providers don't have the mentioned limitations, albeit for a higher price. So it ultimately depends on your priorities.

I have raised a case with the relevant partner and I await their response. Roaming services can be slower than local services due to increase latency, but the difference is generally not that noticeable, so we will mention this too with our network partner.
