The order process to have the new marble set supplied to the exact specification of the existing fire surround was very straightforward. The hearth set was fitted in less than an hour. Air dried timber does develop splits as it adjusts to the temperature of your home, but this only adds to its character and shouldn’t affect its durability. “This is the second time I have used Designer Fireplaces. Having moved house a few years ago I was asked if i would leave my surround.
My new Surround I chose the Italian Marble and black granite hearth. I absolutely love it, my fire basket and back plate look perfect with the surround.
