“First off, the beds themselves, once assembled, are top notch which is why I keep ordering them. Customer service has been excellent too. I have purchased 4 beds, and 5 drawerss. Years ago a pine loft bed that was perfect for our vacation rental loft with low ceilings. More recently 3 beds in cherry wood along with the drawers for our own place. First one assembled by movers so easy. I assembled the next 2 beds and it' was a real challenge to get the screws into the hardwood, and in fact some of the screws just won't go in all the way using either an electric or manual screwdriver, still the beds seem solidly together. However, depending on how you position the beds, some of these screws which are chrome color may well be visible, they are on my day bed as it's not up against the wall. I would think there should be some way to design these beds to be sturdy without the screws being so visible. The drawers are very functional but it wasn't clear to me from the website description or photos (look very very closely after the fact and you will see) that the drawers have visible metal edges on them. These metal edges coordinate but are a different color than the wood, less than desirable method of assembly IMHO. Still, overall I like the quality and design simplicity of the beds. I would and may buy again.”

“We love our bed so far! The only reason it didn't get five stars was the building process. It took us all day to put the bed together, and the instructions were not at all detailed enough. Now that it's put together, we love it!”

“The bed arrived packed very well. Minimal instructions, all parts were included. We found it to be moderate to put it together. Bed is sturdy. Worth it to get the pads on the posts to protect the floor. I wish I could have gotten samples of the wood with the stain. The color wasn't quite what I expected but it's fine. It was handy to get the floating shelf as you now have a small piece you can match other things with. Over all it is a good quality bed.”

“Overall they make a great product and the experience was very good. The bed even smells nice, like fresh cut timber. One issue I had was that after I installed the mattress, it started to squeak. I found that it was the pre-screwed beam on one side support. Tightening the screws didnt help. It looked like it was also glued but only half way so I decided to glue the rest with wood glue, and this has fixed the noise.”

“The bed is great, however we were confused that we got so many parts and pieces and two different direction packets. It is a nice quality and once we worked out what parts did not fit our size bed we were able to put it together without a hitch. The strange thing is we were left with almost a whole other bed in parts? Do we ship these back? We also have about 5 times the amount of screws we need. We ordered the "Deco Bed" and also got parts and instructions for the "Oxford Bed" as well, but not all of them. Please advise. We can send photos if you would like us to.”

“We bought a queen-sized cambridge in Walnut. We were looking for a bed that was sturdy, had high quality materials (solid wood), and would last for a long time. After a lot of comparison shopping, we settled on this bed above ones from other manufacturers. Because we selected the walnut it was about $1000 USD more expensive than some of the comparable highly advertised beds which were not made of walnut. All in all, we feel like it is a good value for the money. Ordering and shipping were straightforward and the bed was delivered a few days earlier than estimated. All in all, we are quite satisfied with the bed. Though assembly was a slight hassle, the quality, solid build, and overall experience were very positive.”

“I ordered the bed frame in the Queen size. It looks amazing, well constructed and sturdy. I absolutely love the style. BUT I can't give 5 stars because it seems like the Queen size is a little bit off. My mattress is a standard Queen that fits the measurement provided by Get Laid Beds, but once all assembled, the mattress is a little bit too big for the space in between the larger sides. So the mattress is placed about a half inch over the larger wood sides on each side. I hope it doesn't destroy the mattress over a long period.”

“I liked the quality of the wood material used including the quality of Oak solid wood and the grains. However, there is one drawback in the way the wooden side frame slats are attached to the legs of the bed. Rather than using screws to hold the slats to the main headboard, you could think of using nuts and bolts. This would give us better control of the bed while shifting from one place to another. Also, using Nuts and bolts would ensure the bed frame and the side slats are firmly attached to the bed without making much noise when we sleep on the mattress. My point is to make the bed frame attachment easier to fix and transport without compromising the rigidity of the wooden frames and slats ( like Japanese Joinery). At least in the US, most of them will expect bed frames to be easier to shift from one house to another. I hope you will make some improvements in your design to accommodate the above shortcomings. That will make your product greater acceptance.”

“I love the solid wood feature. It is truly almost impossible to find a solid bed in furniture stores. 4 stars because some of the pieces did not fit and had to be trimmed to size. For a $1000 bed with predrilled holes this was disappointing and time consuming.”

“I ordered 3 beds. The wood is beautiful, and once together the beds are very nice. The attention to detail is sloppy. Some pieces of wood are smoother than others, wrong directions sent, routed areas are not cleaned out, felt pads attached to some legs and missing on others, pilot holes drilled too big for the screws sent.”

“The accompanying shelf to our frame doesn’t work well because the cross slats are too high up. The fin under the shelf doesn’t slide far enough to give good support and afraid it may damage bed frame.”

“Staff are great to work with and they make sure your order is correct. It looks beautiful! There are alot of screws to put it together. It is sturdy, but it will be difficult to move since all screws will have to be removed to take it apart.”

“Excellent customer service and ahead-of-schedule delivery to U.S. My complaint is that all nine slats were a quarter to half an inch too wide, so had to be cut (thankfully we have a stationary circular saw), then drilled before fastening screws.”

“The bed is good quality. It was NOT easy to put together and mine did not have labels as described in the instruction book. It took 3 people. Other bigger and more complicated flat pack beds I’ve put together could be accomplished with 2 people. The banging with a mallet required was part of the problem. The black wash is lighter than I thought, it is almost a dark brown. But I do really love the way it looks and I would recommend.”
