“Last year I purchased a Pyranha Speeder kayak and have used my reward points to replace a spray deck, paddle float, bilge pump and life jacket. I have always received a warm welcome and excellent service from the staff at Go Kayaking Runcorn and would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to buy paddlesports equipment. I was looking to replace my sea kayak with a fast, stable craft suitable for paddling on the Dee Estuary. Andy was very friendly and approachable, allowing me to test-paddle different craft and eventually opted for a Pyranha Speeder. The knife-edge bow reduces drag and allows me to attain speeds of 5-6 knots paddling on still water and the wings at the stern enhance the stability of the boat even in choppy conditions. A few issues with the footrests coming away from the adjustable ties were quickly resolved when I emailed Go Kayaking Runcorn and wassent a replacement pack promptly. The replacement was entirely complimentary and easy to install. The spray deck, life jacket, paddle float, and bilge pump are all totally reliable and of high quality.”

“Product arrived and looks as described, almost fits in my kayak but I do have to cut it to size (see photo with template to right of the Pyranha foot rest), which was expected as my kayak is a Romany and not a Pyranha. The delivery was a day earlier than UPS advised (although not next day which I thought I was paying for when I ordered but these are extraneous times.) My one quibble with go kayaking would be delivery charges, I thought about getting a roll of minicell foam as well as the foot rest but found the delivery cost jumping up by twenty four quid when I added it to the basket so I deleted that and will see how the back rest performs first before thinking about a roll of foam to complete the outfitting as I may have a chance to click and collect by then.”

Hi Francis, Many thanks for the review. The foam pad is generously sized with the idea of cutting it down to suit all sizes. If your delivery was later than expected we're more than happy to refund shipping and put £10 on your account for next time. Also - delivery should not jump up £24 for adding a foam roll - that's obviously an error. I'll look into this for you. “Super quick delivery. Total shame about the packaging. Ordered 2 books. Dispatched and delivered really quickly. Paper packaging was all torn and 2 corners of the books are all bashed in. Shame. But would go back as they seem like a swift and switched on outfit.”

“Bought an ainsworth paddle which feels good to paddle and seems very good quality but the weight was very disappointing. The Go Kayaking website states that the weight is 700g which I thought sounded too light but I assumed would be in the ballpark however it tips my scales at 1.1kg which is significantly heavier! I probably would have chosen an alternative had I known. I did like the plastic free packaging though.”

Hi Tim, thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you received your paddle ok! I'm a fan of the Ainsworth paddles, made in the UK pre preg Carbon - winner. I've just had a look at the listing for your paddle and it doesn't specify a weight on the listing. Are you able to get in touch with us and let us know where you've seen that weight? You're more than welcome to return the paddle if you're not happy with it and we'll arrange for a lighter paddle for you, or you'll hopefully see some extra tone in your muscles after a few uses. “This is based on a purchase that had already been decided so no advice was really needed. That having been said, I was still served by knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff and got exactly what I wanted at a very competitive price. Recommended!”
