Disappointed. Items I ordered were either missing (serving tray) or swapped for a different item (pineapple instead of grapes.... the recipient is allergic to pineapple). I indicated the requested delivery day, it was delivered 4 days before the requested date.... it was for a birthday surprise. I called to discuss and cannot get through to customer service. They responded via email to say they're busy at this time of year so sent the order when they could. No mention of the wrong items. Bad service and a RIP OFF.

This place is a total rip off! Do not do business with them. I ordered a gift for some colleagues, it was supposed to be delivered to an office. They sent me an email saying no one was there to take delivery- a lie, and it would take weeks to reschedule a delivery and i'd have to pay extra delivery fees. Don't waste your money with these guys.

Terrible service by this company. The delivery date was shown as same day before payment was made and confirmation email showed delivery as same day. Order was to a business that is closed on weekends and delivery to be Friday. Not even an apology was given, only reference to fine print that you’d have to scroll down to even find. Delivery date clearly shown on order as same day. Shameful service.

I experienced severe disappointment after purchasing items from https://www.hazeltons.ca/. A gift I had prepared in advance for my daughter's birthday was delivered on a different date than specified, and worse, the delivered cake was squashed. The company mentioned they could only refund 50% of the squashed cake. Despite several requests, a refund for the damaged cake was eventually processed. However, this event was intended to bring joy to my daughter, but it ended in complete disappointment. Furthermore, the thoughtfully written card message was not delivered.

This is a scam company. They will do everything in their power not to deliver your gift and then charge you extra to "reattempt". Never trust this company. I doubt the gift basket ever even existed.

The gift basket arrived via courier with no indication as to contents or that the contents were perishable and needed refrigeration. When opened, the box contained fruit that was covered in white slime and spoiled beyond consumption. What a horrible waste of money for the sender who was trying to cheer me up after surgery.

I ordered a gift basket for my friend’s birthday. I tracked the order and discovered that the basket was not delivered as there was no reply at the door of the condo. My friend confirmed that her door buzzer is faulty, but the door was open for access and no phone call was received. I contacted Hazelton’s to see what the next step would be. Very unhappy to be told that there would be a $20 redelivery charge or I could have a partial refund ($17 deduction!). Reading the other reviews on Trustpilot, my friend has probably had a lucky escape. Dreadful customer service and a total ripoff

The item arrived days later. They charged us for the more expensive hamper over the basket, but then used a basket, and will not refund the difference. Seems they specialize in the bait and switch looking at other reviews. They stacked items on the pie and it arrived a mess. There is no reason to refer or reuse this company. They are very short sided in thinking that offering no refund on their dishonestly out weighs future sales.

Bait and Switch, Do NOT Order. We ordered a Liquor Gift basket and paid for a premium bourbon upgrade (Woodford Reserve Bourbon). When the item arrived they switched the alcohol to an entirely different type of alcohol and a much lower price point than we paid (Chivas Regal Scotch) Our friends we sent this to do not even drink Scotch. Hazelton’s did not email or call us to say they were out of our selection nor did they refund the difference we paid. Their only response was they could make substitutions as per their terms. This was underhanded as they also switched the wooden box and glasses we paid for. From our experience, they advertise a premium product and deliver a product you would never order. This completely ruined what was supposed to be a special gift for our dear friends.

I ordered a basket for my son’s 55th birthday. He has always had birthday pie instead of cake. I could not be with him for this milestone birthday because I am on the west coast and he is on the east coast so I ordered a gift basket including pie. The pie arrived completely destroyed. I am very embarrassed that the gift I sent him arrived in pieces. When I contacted customer service I was told that it was my fault for not reading the fine print. I should have sent it a different way if I was ordering perishables. I was unaware of this policy and it had never been mentioned. I asked if they would send him a new pie and the answer was no. They would refund half the price of the pie. I did not want a refund. I wanted what I had payed for. The person I was communicating with was the head of customer service. I think she should pursue a different type of job. She is not suited to this position. I will never order from Hazelton’s Gift Baskets again and I will never recommend them to anyone. Very very bad service!!

Worse experience of a lifetime. Ordered a special gift well in advance of the actual day of the anniversary and it still has not arrived and it is 10 days pending and package not trackable. The company has no consideration for its customers nor have any mission or goal to meet or exceed customer expectations. They don't appear to realize the nature of their business and they clearly not setup to be in this industry. I urge you to use caution and select an alternative provider. The only apparent product they deliver is disappointment and embarrassment, in addition to taking no responsibility in destroying special days and events.

As a birthday gift for my brother, I purchased the Sweet Breakfast Gift Basket. To the basket, I added 40$ worth of Gourmet Items, carefully selected by me according to my brother's taste. My brother's birthday is on October 6. I placed my order on October 4. Upon finalizing my purchase, I was informed delivery would take 2 business days, so I was right in time to surprise my brother for his birthday! My gift was delivered on October 10. I was already trying to get in touch with the courier service that Hazeltons chooses to work with, but had no luck there (user-unfriendly website, limited information, customer service chat is a bot and with limited options). I contacted Hazeltons on Monday the 9th of October, because I believe that a company that works with FOOD delivery needs to be accountable for delivering good quality, fresh food. I was concerned that my brother would end up with a basket of stale muffins and expired dips. Got an answer from Regina G. on October 10, saying that my order had been delayed while in transit with the courier due to "unforeseen circumstances". She thanked me for my patentience, and that was all. In my original email to Hazeltons, I addressed my concerns about the quality of the food that would eventually be delivered, since it was taking extra time for the basket to reach my brother. It is not nice to think you have spent 140$ on something that won't be nice, good, fresh, edible even. In her reply, Regina G. did not address any of my food-related concerns. I wrote back and asked for a refund. Regina G. refused to give me one, and upon my insistence, she stopped replying. My brother finally got his gift at the end of the day yesterday, and to our surprise, he got something different than what I originally ordered. The items in his basket DID NOT match the items described in the website for the Sweet Breakfast Gift Basket. In addition, Hazeltons made their own choices regarding what extra items to add, so the CAREFULLY selected Gourmet Items I have chosen (and paid for) were replaced by whatever Hazeltons had laying around. Needless to say, the muffins were stale (and it says on their website, "Our handmade muffins are tender and sweet and have a satisfyingly crunchy. In other words, the perfect way to start your day.", well not if they are stale and old!!). At least we did not have to deal with rotten dips, because they simply decided not to send them (even though I chose and paid for them!!). Honestly, save yourself some frustration and go purchase your things somewhere else. Good luck, fellow customer.

A total flop. Never ever order anything from this company. A total scam and very poor customer services. Notes were not followed at all. Very arrogant and no customer etiquettes at all. Extremely poor!!!!

The cake I ordered was never recieved and what I recieved is an eaten cake, scrambled and the left over is delivered to the address on the birthday. There was nothing to cut as a cake on the important day and nothing to be eaten from such garbage thrown on door by the delivery. Ruthless. Moreover, chocolate was not what I ordered. This is the most disturbing thing I could ever face on an important day.

Absolute scam operation. The goods they fill your basket with are low quality junk, but they hide behind murky company policy and decline refunds. I ordered a $250 basket and received junk goods worth less than $40. Absolute trash company. DO NOT USE HAZELTON'S.

This company is a scam. You fill out the order online and then they deliver whatever they have in stock instead (ie: paper tray instead of wicker, cheap cheese instead of the expensive items even when specific cheese is ordered.) They do not answer phone calls (despite waiting twice for over 45 minutes each time; and despite leaving voicemail.) Their customer service manager - Valerie - sends antagonistic replies by email, rather than addressing concerns. They delivered a very poor product. It's false advertising.

It is not made clear from the outset that these baskets are being put together hours away from their destination. They should not be shipping perishable products. To add to this, it took a 5 days for my delivery to arrive— and when there was a glitch with the recipient address, there was nothing I could do. Someone supposedly signed for my package and a stranger received the 160.00 gift. This never would have happened with a small local shop. Customer service at Hazelton’s would not offer me any compensation despite the fact that the recipient’s name and phone number were on the order. This process was a big waste of time and money.

I ordered 15 wine boxes to be delivered yesterday. I payed for all of them. They delivered 1 box. Customer service person "Valerie" says the balance will be delivered today but can not provide an estimate delivery time or tracking?

Be very careful. I placed an order for over $200.00. Web site clearly states FREE SHIPPING ACROSS CANADA WITH ORDERS OVER $200.00. Much to my surprise, I am going though my statement a few weeks latter and there is a charge for $25.00 I never approved or even new about. I contact them and get this, PEI is considered remote by them so they decided to add on an extra charge. Now I did not major in Georgraphy, and quite frankly I probably suck at it, but last time I checked, even though PEI is an island it is part of Candad as per confederation. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your recent transaction. We understand that you have some concerns about an additional remote shipping fee that was applied to your order. We would like to provide you with more information about this charge. So here is what they wrote which I cannot find on the web site. Our shipping department found it necessary to apply this fee in order to deliver your order to the address you provided. This decision was made based on the remoteness of the location. We strive to be transparent about our delivery policies, and we want to assure you that this charge is in accordance with those policies. As stated in our delivery policies, "An additional charge will be applied where the origin or destination point is deemed by us to be remote or is not serviced directly by us." This is nowhere to be fouond, and I aksed them to show me where it is on the web site and this was the next response. This is really not right and in my mind decitful and fraudulent. Of course I called my credit card company and they reveresed the charge, but they should not have to eat the $25.00.
