If I could I would put less than 1 star. This is by far the worst store for gifts in existence, not only are the baskets and gifts over priced for what you get, receiving these gifts through their courier is a nightmare! I had to stay home 3 days to receive my Mother's Day gift, I was to receive it on Sunday, it came Wednesday late afternoon. Rude delivery guy and just a bad experience. Do not use this store, it's not worth the money you pay and the customer service is useless. The packages cannot be traced from either the shipper or courier company!!

I purchased a large strawberry cheesecake for my Mom for mother's day and it was substituted with a chocolate cake. My mom doesn't even like chocolate. I was very disappointed and contacted customer service which basically told me too bad . Our terms and agreements says we can substitute. I told them it would be helpful if they stayed that before checkout. Very bad customer service and would never buy again or recommend. You are better off looking for a bakery in the person area and order from them instead.

I received a gift basket ("Champagne and fruit") which was sent to me by a client. The basked had a cheap bottle of spumanti and two small oranges, two pears hard as a rock, several sour apples and two stone hard mangoes. Approximately 7$ total at the local grocery store. It was a disappointment to say the least. When I advised Hazelton's I received a "stock response"...not everyone's taste if food is the same etc. etc. They did not mention what happens when you break a tooth on the fruit. I of course thanked the client, but feel that this should be known out there. Don't spend money like this, you probably do better to just order from Loblaws or Costco as at least they will back up their product.

Not only did they send the wrong product, I ordered lemon bars and got a big mess of we don’t even know what it was. but they told me that I was not entitled to a refund and they wouldn’t be sending any correct order out to my mother, who is 97 on Mother’s Day, and that substitutions were very common in this industry. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experience in my entire life, and I cannot recommend them to anybody at any time anywhere !! shame. Shame shame this is such a scam!!!!Order HU4989624. Then I tried loading the mess of what my mother received and the photo wouldn’t load !really???????

I spent $250 on a big basket of food, bouquet of flowers and two balloons for my mother’s 85th birthday and Mother’s Day. One balloon arrived flat and the happy birthday balloon was missing altogether. When I spoke to customer service they said that they replaced “like for like” and sent a chocolate bar as a replacement for the balloon. I complained saying that is not the same, I would not have agreed but they quoted the fine print that they reserved the right to do this. They refused to refund me the $10. This is a petty and insensitive response from this company and I will not use them again. Read the fine print.

Basket was not delivered to patient in hospital. I was advised they can't be responsible for misdeliveries because of 'porch pirates.' I was told to contact Canpar and the hospital. I did. Canpar said Hazeltons needs to file the claim not me. Hazeltons refuses to. No basket, no refund, no help.

White wine instead of Red????? I ordered a personalised hamper for my sister as I’m living in Ireland I thought I’d use a local provider HAZELTON’S’s There were many issues with the delivery that resulted in the hamper not being received for over a week with spoilt fruits. The delivery is not guaranteed next day or weekend deliveries. Later I spoke with my sister to see did she enjoy the Cabernet Sauvignon wine that I chose for her as part of the hamper. I was very surprised to be told she had not been sent the red wine I had chosen but an inferior white wine (she doesn’t drink white wine). I could understand if a different red wine was sent. When I contacted Hazelton’s along with a picture of the wine sent I was advised there would be no refund or correction in the order as 5 days have passed since the delivery. If you are buying from them make sure to check with the recipient in detail of what they actually received what you purchased and paid for. Make sure to do this within 5 days or there is no redress. I wanted to send something personal to my sister to let her know I was thinking of her whilst we’re apart for her birthday however the whole experience has been very disappointing from start to finish. I most certainly did not get value for money and would not recommend Hazelton’s for sending products you may pick specifically to recipients likes.

I had ordered a surprise birthday cake for my son’s 19th bday (who studies at a Canadian University) from the UK and it turned out to be my worst nightmare!! Since this was his first bday away from home, I wanted it to be special and had coordinated with his friend/roommate to pick up the cake when delivered and surprise him. The cake never arrived and after endless calls/emails to Hazleton’s I was given a run around with endless excuses for four days and told nothing could be done because the courier was third party and Hazeltons couldn't contact them on our behalf. The courier company chosen by Hazeltons (Canpar) had unmanned phone lines and were closed for the weekend which meant nobody could update on tracking information - it was frustrating to deal with Hazeltons who were most unhelpful at this time and they stated nothing could be done until the order was delivered by the courier. They could not understand the fact that the cake would not be suitable for consumption after being in delivery trucks and warehouses for almost 5 days. I had to dispute the charge with my bank and the cake finally was delivered the same day but in a deplorable state so they had no choice but to refund the money paid for the order. It would have been far more professional and courteous if they had simply refunded when the delivery date wasn’t honoured! The cake was delivered in such a bad state that it was almost disrespectful! I would have been extremely embarrassed had this been a gift for someone other than family as this is not the way any gift (let alone a perishable edible item) should be received! The company must review their courier company as inefficient deliveries are enough to tarnish a company’s reputation and this must be addressed and remedied appropriately. I had to rush another cake through Uber eats to save the day for my son’s surprise birthday and I should have opted that choice in the first place. Never again and I will surely leave a review on Google as well so nobody suffers the way we did!!

Ordered online, selected delivery date, paid for shipping only to be told it wouldn't be delivered on the date i chose, even though I received 2 emails from the company directly that had my chosen date as the confirmed delivery date. Over priced, false advertising. Buyer beware, would give 0 stars if I could. Disappointed

Ordered a custom Birthday gift together of 3 Italian cheeses and a cheese board with knives. What was received was the above into what looked like an Easter basket left over from the holiday the week previous. This had a chocolate bunny, chocolate covered marshmallows, and white chocolate pretzels. LOL !!!! Our daughter thought we lost our minds, she is allergic to chocolate. Cheese was nothing special and not from Italy. Tried to give feed back to Hazelton about the company they sourced this out to but they stand by there substations policy. Got what I ordered but was not happy with all the added left over Easter .

My wife bought me a three month subscription. The first box cam yesterday and to my dissatisfaction the three cheeses that came were things you can buy at any grocery store. Such a rip off. For $170 I should be getting something unique and new. Not something I can buy for $6 at Fresco. Not worth it at all.

Ordered a gift basket delivered to a patient in hospital. Not received. According to Hazelton policy, it is not their responsibility. Contacted hospital and delivery service. Delivery service says they reimburse the company who hired them- not me. Sent Hazelton this info and they continue to insist it is my responsibility and that I need to file a claim with the delivery service. So, check their policy folks - it becomes your problem if anything goes wrong.

I ordered 3 gift baskets with upgrades and they sent substituted items found at your local drug or convenience stores. Items received damaged, a couple items missing altogether and customer service representative, Stella Marie, was dismissive.

Complete scam of a company. My father made an order for me but I did not receive the items mentioned on the website. 1. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were NOT campi verdi de toscana as mentioned on the website. The strawberry jam and maple syrup were from cheaper brands. 2. The following items were missing from the package: Wafers - Crème de Pirouline Chocolate Hazelnut 92g tin Cookies - The Shortbread Bakery Chocolate Chunk Chocolate Blueberries - Bruges Classic Chocolate Covered Blueberries Pillow Box 50 g 3. It is mentioned on their website that I would’ve received these items in pine wood tray. Instead I have received a cheap woven rope tray. This company is clearly cheating their customers because ofcourse people will not verify their gifts. If I had not received the forward email from my father, I wouldnt have checked either.

VERY DISAPPOINTING!! I was very disappointed with the cheese that I received as you can see I got harvarti twice and camambert 3 times and the round spiced Gouda twice...... There was nothing special about the cheeses that I received,  I can go to my local grocery store ( save on foods, Safeway, freshco ) and purchase these cheeses myself.. My husband was under the impression I was going to receive different cheeses...... possibly from other countries or local made cheeses that I can't just go buy from my local grocery store..... We are not happy at all & would not recommend to friends, as I said to the girl on the phone I believe we should be refunded for a portion of our subscription.

The case for the wine had a crack on the top, and the wine I had ordered Palatine was substituted. I contacted their customer service right away and sent pictures. The emailed and stated their policy states they can substitute. But I paid for a higher priced wine. They asked for pictures again. Then asked for clearer pictures so i sent again. They said it's only a dent in the box. But they would refund the difference in the price of wine. I said fine I will take that but stated to them it's a crack not a dent and will never deal with them again or recommend. This was a a 70th birthday gift. Certainly over priced and no customer service. Don't waste your money!

Wish I saw the reviews before ordering - horrible unreliable service - ordered a birthday basket and was supposed to arrive before 12 noon - tracking shows end of day and the day is already over - shipping company not responsive and so is Hazelton !!!!
