I think the support service with Mail Manager Ideagen is absolutely terrible which is disappointing. Trying to get Antony to speak with you is extremely hard. Elevating the problem is slow. A simple problem has taken weeks to resolve rather than them sorting over a call quickly.

Six months ago I would rate this application as 5 stars and outstanding, can't live without. Now Ideagen does the Mail Manager Tech Support and it is terrible. I think the change might have an impact on the stability of the software too. Project channels disappear and then appear a week or so later. The disappearance of filing locations is the reason I contacted tech support. The response was a list of 5 questions beginning with what was the date and time this occurred. The list ended with "send the diagnostic log". I'm a user , not an IT expert. This is the worst tech support ever. When you buy software, part of the purchase decision is the quality of the tech support. I feel like this was bait and switch. Don't buy this software. The tech support doesn't even want to talk to the users.

Shocking, disgusting price increase. I was paying ~£30 per year for my licence then last year it jumped to £180. I have been very happy with the product and it is fundamental to my way of working, but this price increase is beyond a joke. I will look for an alternative product. I am disappointed that the original developers sold this product off to another company. The one star rating is because of the massive price increase - 500% (five hundred) - yes a factor of five in one year.

Poor poor poor service and support. I would not recommend them at all. They sell in the US market but they work under a different time zone, don't have US phone numbers, or email addresses to call them. Oddly, their support has not figured out other methods of connecting with staff (video conferencing etc.) They promise a customer support agent assigned when you sign up but never deliver. We have had an open ticket for weeks now. Terrible. Not good for a running business.

Support is beyond a joke. They lie to get you on board and then tell you their solutions do not work in RDS environments. Support wont even respond to emails asking for confirmation of instructions. They just ignore you continually. The software is flakey at best. Seems to be selling and old horse

I have been a MailManager user for 15 years - it is a fundamental and important tool for me. However the subscription price increase of 500% (yes- you read that correctly) from one year to the next is unconscionable and ridiculous. Given that the company knows that those of us who have a lot of data invested in this tool have few (if any) plug-in alternatives and are faced with either loosing data or paying up - in my view this amounts to a ransom demand. The software "upgrades" that are touted to follow this price-hike - if they are anything like the "new search interface" certainly won't justify even a 10% increase. This will be the last time I renew.

We're struggling to give them even 1 star - that's only because there isn't an option for 0. The customer service is the worst we've ever experienced ..... anywhere, ever. Don't bother asking a question because you won't get an answer. We have even escalated our complaint by letter to the highest level, and still we are ghosted. Added to that, the price increase this year is astronomical, which is pretty much insult to injury when we don't get the so-called "service" that comes with the contract.

This was a great product at a reasonable cost. But a 500+% increase in costs in ONE year - yes you ARE reading that right five hundred percent plus - give this product it's one star rating.

We have been with Mail Manager for a number of years, however this year as a loyal customer we have been informed that our renewal quotation has went up 350%, greed has taken over at the company, this will be our last year with them

This service will fail to auto update constantly. It will fail without notification for weeks. It will never work well with your company's new, more stringent IT department. It will fail to search your emails, it will fail to file them correctly. After all of this, the customer support will screen you through a long series of holding periods. Do not buy this, do not install it.

Overall a good product. But there are many obvious bugs that they refuse to fix as "their support team are busy developing new platform integration" (as I was told). Maybe your support team should be given some time to fix the bugs (that you agree are known bugs) for those people who are actually using and paying you for the platform that is financing your development!? There was also a minor API I wanted wrote, that I even offered to pay for someone in MM to write for us. But was told "we're too busy to help". Very disappointing.

Great product from a functional perspective, but we've been experiencing computer sluggishness with some of our users using it. Just discovered from a customer service agent today that "In terms of the running processes of our (mail manager) software, usage is within the expected parameters. CPU usage due to the background indexer fluctuates between 40% and around 97% total". 97%?!?!?!?! The suggestion was for us to get a more powerful machine for our users. We have machines that run Autodesk Inventor (3D drafting software) and you think we need bigger / better machines to run your software? Perhaps mail manager is not ready for a medium to large sized enterprise as ourselves.

Weve used Mail Manager in the past and the original creator was really helpful and responsive. At one poitn we started to have more off-site and mobile workflows so the features at the time were not meeting our needs and we canceled the service. At this time we were trying to reasses Mail manager as it looks like they have integrated many new features that would accommodate our workflows, however, the customer service has been dreadful and they have not made any effort to get our trial functional in order for us to decide if we are ready to pay for this service again. Very disappointing for what used to be a great brand.

Thanks for your review and feedback. We would like to deeply apologise for the delay in contacting you. We came across some technical difficulties and your request never reached the correct person to help you out with your trial. However, as soon as we found out you were waiting for a trial, we did get in touch to book you in as soon as possible. Our team are usually extremely quick at following up on inbound requests so once again we are very sorry for your bad experience with Mail Manager. We hope to work with you again soon.

Persistent notifications ("Could not connect to dashboard") issue has not yet been permanently fixed. New installer is not ideal - please provide an "All users" style .msi installer as was previously available and let IT admins handle updates.

There are some real failures in retrieval and filing - and I've tested it. For retrieval, I open the search window and type in a known "Subject" or the "Search Terms" (it happens with both), and the email does not show up in the results literally nothing shows in the results. Folks in my office work on 3-5 projects at a time, but I work on all of the 150+ and I always put the project name in the subject line for all communication (copy and paste it in the email subject line from my project list) yet, I can never find anything by looking in all emails from "Subject" or "Search Terms". I have to go directly to the location folder (that it should be in) and search by "from: my name". to find the emails. But the failure happens if that is not helpful at all if I have filed it in the wrong location. If I have filed it in the wrong project, I will never find it again unless by accident. For filing, it is not nearly intuitive enough. Like I stated earlier, My emails all have the project name in the subject line, copied and pasted from our project list for 100% accuracy. Yet the intuitive filing suggestions rarely ever suggest it. The top 5 email storage locations suggested are the filing locations that I've used with the individual that I am emailing. If all my "1234 Acme project" always is filed in "1234 Acme project" then why are the suggestions never "1234 Acme project"? I always have to go to "More locations and options" type in the preferred location name and file. Honestly, I think this takes way more time for me than the "rules" method I used that is built into Outlook. For the folks in the office that are working on 5 projects, I think this is fine. I absolutely love the idea because being cc'd on emails is often forgotten so I can go into the location files and search for items I'm missing without bothering project managers, but for me, it is a lot of effort and when I need to retrieve things, it is a lot of headache.
