“Cheap but for a reason. All customer service online and shockingly poor. Had a claim made against me and nobody notified me of this despite knowing back in February 2021. I am still awaiting any details of the claim FIVE MONTHS later. The worst customer service that I have ever encountered. Nobody has apologised for the lack of communication with me. They allowed me to cancel my policy whilst aware of the claim and then said I was liable to pay my full premium four months later because of the claim. The WORST customer service I have ever , ever encountered . STAY CLEAR”
“What a breath of fresh air this company is! What we have all been wanting in an insurance company but have lived through years of frustration so given up hoping. No long waits on hold, excellent customer service and ... wait for it.... no charges to amend details!!!!!!!! Brilliant price too. I hope this continues and my premium doesn’t go up by a couple of hundred pounds when it’s time for my renewal. I would happily stay with Marshmallow until I die!”

“Marshmallow provides an online service, we are unable to deal with a human directly. All communication takes place on email.
I was betrayed a big time from marshmallow that my life has been disturbed drastically. I cannot go to work because Marshmallow has played up with my insurance. They initially said, insurance will end on 21st of June, they suddenly decided to cancel my insurance 11 days early without agreeing a date with me. Because there is no two way communication, their employee decides whatever it suits them.
I then try to communicate back saying, there has been an error on insurance termination date, requesting to amend the mistake. I get different answer from different handler. Someone asks me to go to online and do it yourself. There is no option to make this type of amendment online.
it is impossible to handle and sort out an issue with Marshmallow. If I need an answer to one thing, I have to wait for another day for someone to reply to my email. It is ridiculous.
Furthermore, one of their email handler said I am entitled for the refund due to early cancellation of my policy, providing me the calculation of how much money I will be refunded.
Sadly and lostly and inconveniently, I get an email saying it is a total loss. I owe nothing. I then email them with my previous communication with their email handler, I get no reply even after few days.
It is absolutely unacceptable dealing from Marshmallow. I have never experienced such a terrible service in my life from any of the forms or company.
Firslty I have lost the premiums I have paid. Secondly, I have lost my work and income to leave as I cannot drive my car as insurance was terminated abruptly with less than 24 hours notice with no consultation and agreement of date with me.
