"I've tried running, biking, weight lifting, Weight Watchers, Body for Life, counting calories, low-carb diets, Crossfit, and reducing eating out. Exercise without modifying what I ate didn't work well. I was concerned that I would keep gaining weight and become diabetic. I didn't know if I could lose weight without feeling hungry all the time. Plus, only changing what I ate was missing the focus on mindset and accountability. \r\n\r\nThen, I heard Adam do a podcast with Brandon Turner from Bigger Pockets. I wanted to lose weight and improve the health of my joints. My goal weight was 155 lb, but I really wanted to see what I needed to do to just start losing weight. But, of course, I had my doubts. I was concerned about the financial commitment and wondered if it would really work after having tried so many things that didn't.\r\n\r\nI lost 42 pounds and reached my goal weight of 155 pounds. It took awhile, but there was steady progress toward it. I've also put on muscle in the process. I'm so much quicker and can jump higher on the tennis court. I've had to give away all my old clothes and buy new ones. I feel so much healthier, know what it takes for me to lose weight, am in control of my eating, and am empowered to maintain a healthy weight. One of the best things for me is that I really do feel that I'll never need another diet program.\r\n\r\nWhat sets MyBodyTutor apart is their focus on why we are overeating, how to address the root cause of that, and how to use strategies other than food to deal with stress, boredom, needing to relax, etc. Also, learning to tolerate discomfort with changing eating habits resonated with me, as I could easily relate to discomfort experienced when playing sports and exercising. The biggest difference, however, was having a tutor who could cut through all the misinformation, provide guidance on what to eat, and hold me accountable.\r\n\r\nTo anyone considering joining, my advice is simple: just try. You won't regret it. It's so much of a different and effective approach than other things out there. There will be some difficulty in losing weight, but it's likely not nearly as difficult as you think, and the challenge is more about consistency.\r\n"

"I wasn't really interested in losing weight in the past and always was active. A nutritionist even told me my weight was fine and having a little \"extra\" as we age is beneficial. But a cardiologist said I should lose some weight, and my desire to look and be more healthy kicked in.\r\n\r\nI had hoped to lose 20 pounds with permanent changes of habits. When I found MyBodyTutor, everything about the program attracted me. \r\n\r\nI lost 21 pounds and got a great bill of health from my doctor last month. Some people say it is hard to lose weight as you get older, but the weight came off steadily for me over around five months, and I will be 75 years old in July 2024. I've been out of the program now for months and the weight stays off. I am considering losing another five pounds using the same techniques I've learned. \r\n\r\nI did MyBodyTutor simultaneously with in-depth therapy. The two reinforced each other. Before I started this work, I was very out of touch with my body, and I lacked motivation to look better.\r\n\r\nRight now I am no longer in the program, but I maintain the habits I learned, particularly much more conscious eating (which entails A LOT of learning) and drinking lots of water. I always exercised, but now I hate it when I miss a day or two and walk, swim, do pilates, and weight lifting.\r\n\r\nThe philosophy of MyBodyTutor is realistic in terms of what it takes to really change long-term habits and an understanding that it takes a person time and a lot of personal support to get to the roots of some of the reasons behind an unhealthy lifestyle that one wants to change but can't.\r\n\r\nTo me, this is a really excellent program to not only lose weight but also to come to know yourself better. Once you come to understand your choices, your triggers, your misconceptions about weight loss, and your sabotaging behaviors, you can really change them permanently.\r\n\r\nAnd the secret sauce of MyBodyTutor are the people involved. I was matched with a tutor whom I liked and respected very much and whose personality and style clicked with mine. And Adam and Haley are dedicated, always interesting, and reinforce the philosophy of the program constantly through videos and emails, as well as the training and support of personal tutors.\r\n\r\nI recommend this program if you are looking for lasting change instead of quick fix where the old habits will probably rear their ugly heads again when life happens. \r\n"
"I'm a 100% or nothing kinda guy. That can be a blessing and a curse. I get good results when I'm motivated, and get out of shape when I'm stressed. My results were a direct reflection of my emotions.\r\n\r\nThat all changed when I started working with Abby, my coach at MyBodyTutor. \r\n\r\nAbby didn't just give me a diet or training plan and wave me off into the gym with a pat on my back and a thumbs up. Abby supported me through the entire process. She worked on my mindset, my habits, and my systems. She helped me get real results and more importantly, protect them.\r\n\r\nI went from 205lbs to 170lbs and competed in my first Muay Thai boxing competition in under 6 months. I've never got in that good shape and been able to maintain it before.\r\n\r\nI learned how to build a balanced and sustainable lifestyle. I learned to be kind to myself, and show myself empathy and encouragement while holding myself accountable and getting results.\r\n\r\nI got results, not because I was given a diet plan or gym routine (although I got those too), but because I was empowered with real knowledge and had an accountability partner who helped me show up every day, even when I didn't want to."
"By the time I joined MyBodyTutor, I had tried nearly every weight loss program that exists over the course of my life - some with more healthy approaches than others. WeightWatchers, MediWeightLoss, Slimfast, various fad diets like South Beach or low carb diets ... you name it and I have probably tried it at some point, and maybe even lost weight for a short time only to gain it back and then some. I had even tried a private weight loss clinic that included a doctor, psychiatrist, nutritionist, etc. as part of the team. At the time I joined MyBodyTutor, I had reached a weight I had never imagined I'd reach, and not only was I not managing to lose any weight - I was still gaining a little weight all the time. I was terrified of what my future might be like if I continued on this trajectory, but not hopeful that anything would work. When I read about MyBodyTutor and decided to look into it, I called the number expecting to get an automated message or a salesperson. Instead, Adam picked up the phone himself and we had a brief but memorable conversation. He was honest, straightforward, but passionate about this program, and he told me that if I dedicated myself, I could find a sustainable way to lose weight and keep it off. My MBT coach Jessica (who is fantastic), has helped me understand why I overeat and eat unhealthy foods. I still have a lot of work to do, but I've lost about 50 pounds so far!! I'm so thankful that I found this company and this program. I spent a lot of time debating whether to do this before I dove in - I was afraid to hope for success. I'm so glad that I took the chance, because it is really paying off. "
